Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has reshaped parenting practices, creating new demands for families to guide children responsibly while maintaining Islamic educational values. This study aims to examine how Islamic parenting management is integrated with digital literacy to reinforce parental roles in children’s academic development. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving parents, teachers, and psychological counselors. The findings reveal that combining Islamic parenting principles with digital tools enhances parents’ capacity to monitor children’s development, maintain consistent routines, and strengthen value-based communication at home. Digital platforms also increase parental reflection and enable more responsive school–family interactions. This study offers novelty by demonstrating that integrating faith-based guidance with digital literacy provides a culturally grounded model that prior studies typically do not address, examining these elements separately. Theoretically, the study enriches the understanding of how religious values can be operationalized within technology-assisted parenting. Practically, the findings suggest that schools can improve family engagement by designing structured, faith-oriented programs supported by accessible digital tools.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of strengthening religious moderation values through pesantren-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in addressing moral and social challenges within educational environments. Pesantren-based schools have the potential to instill the values of tawassuth (moderation), tasamuh (tolerance), tawazun (balance), and i’tidal (justice) through instructional processes and institutional culture. However, differences in the level of pesantren integration within educational institutions influence how these values are internalized. This study aims to analyze differences in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of religious moderation value internalization at SMK Mekanika Buntet Pesantren and SMA IT Akmala Sabila in Cirebon Regency, as well as to identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employs a qualitative phenomenological approach involving school principals, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students as participants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings indicate that pesantren system integration supports a more structured internalization of moderation values through religious habituation, teacher role modeling, and institutional culture. This study highlights the importance of integrating pesantren values into Islamic Religious Education to support the development of moderate and ethical student character.

Abstract

The globalization of education encourages policy convergence through the influence of international institutions. This study aims to analyze the Case Study of Global Education Policy: Studies by the OECD, UNESCO, and the World Bank on Education Policy in Indonesia. The method used is a literature study with a comparative qualitative approach. The results of the study indicate that Indonesian education policy is influenced by global standards such as PISA, SDGs, and efficiency-based approaches. Comparison of education between countries in the context of a case study of global education policy is a very important study to understand how the process of globalization influences the direction, structure, and practices of education systems in various countries. Globalization encourages countries to adopt international education standards, such as strengthening global literacy, improving the quality of human resources, and implementing universal education quality indicators. In addition, globalization also opens up space for the exchange of best practices between countries as an effort to increase educational competitiveness at the global level. Through a comparative education approach, this study seeks to identify similarities, differences, and forms of adaptation of education policies implemented by various countries in response to global demands as well as diverse local needs. This approach allows researchers to understand how global education policies are interpreted and implemented according to the social, cultural, economic, and political contexts of each country. With a comparative approach, this research is expected to provide strategic and practical recommendations for policy makers in developing an adaptive, inclusive, and internationally competitive education system without ignoring local values and national development
