Abstract

Along with the population growth that increases every year in Indonesia, The more electrical energy needs that must be distributed to each user. The use of electrical energy in Indonesia is still a lot that uses limited fuel sources which can run out over time. Meanwhile, Indonesia has a lot of renewable energy potential, such as the use of rivers or irrigation channels as a source of renewable energy. This research is to design and build a screw turbine using irrigation channels to turn it into electrical energy. In the process of product design and development in this study using the Ulrich method by comparing 3 product concepts and in this study, the first concept was chosen because it was considered in accordance with the needs, including easy fabrication, good function, good portability andlower costs than existing products. For the performance test results made with an irrigation environment that has a current speed of 086 m/s, the resulting generator output is 69.7V, 0.56A and the generator rotation is 357.3 rpm. For the total cost of production HPP (cost of goods manufactured) of Rp. 5,343,000,-

Abstract

The outboard motor mount is an important piece of equipment when building an outboard motor workshop or laboratory. The outboard motor mount is needed because it is not possible to learn about the motor components with the motor attached to the hull of the boat. Therefore, it is necessary to design an outboard motor holder that fits the lot size and can be moved to facilitate the testing of the outboard motor in the test pool located outside the laboratory building. The design is carried out by making 3 models of the seat frame using the Ulrich method and Finite Element Analysis to analyze the strength of each concept. Rapid Upper Limb Assessment is used to analyze the ergonomic aspects of the three concepts. Based on Finite Element Analysis, it is known that the safety factors of concept 1, 2 and 3 are 1,985, 1,689 and 1,860 respectively. The results of the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment analysis show that the three concepts have a final score of 3. Based on the priority scale table with the criteria of evaluating manufacturing costs, ergonomics, flexibility, mass, ease of manufacture and ease of assembly, score concept 1,2 and 3 are 24%, 25% and 29% repectively. From this value, the selected concept is concept 3 as shown in the detailed drawing attachment A.

Abstract

Electrical energy is an important source of energy for the people of Indonesia because electrical energy is always used in industrial activities and daily life. Indonesia's power generation capacity has increased by almost 15 Giga Watt (GW) to 69.6 Giga Watt (GW) from 54.7 to 69.6 Giga Watt (GW) in the Turbine last five years. This need will continue to grow because fossil raw materials will gradually be eroded. One of the efforts to utilize energy is the renewable energy of the Picohydro Power Plant which utilizes the flow of the river or sea currents as renewable energy. This research is to design a Gorlov Model Blade mold with fiberglass using the Hand Lay Up method. In the process using the Reverse Engineering method to compare the 3 Manufacturing Processes for making the Gorlov model turbine blade mold. In this study, the first process concept was chosen because the price is cheaper, the process is easy and fast, and has a lighter weight than the existing product. The results of the Gorlov Model Blade Turbine performance test on a river flow with an average speed of 1.59 m/s and a river depth of 300 mm resulted in Blade 732.28 Rpm and produced 3.2 Volts. From these data, it can be said that the turbine can work according to its function. Total Cost of Production (HPP) Rp. 5.570.350.

Abstract

Energy is the primary need of society in carrying out their daily needs. However, it is currently a global issue that must be faced because it has a negative impact on producing greenhouse gases. Based on Indonesia's energy outlook in 2021, the potential for renewable energy is very abundant, such as hydro energy of 20,960 MW and solar energy of 6,379 MW. Indonesia has natural potentials such as irrigation flow and solar as a renewable energy source. This research contains the design and construction of a hybrid energy power plant by combining the potential of solar energy and irrigation flow. This research uses a screw turbine and monocrystalline solar panels. Development process used the Ulrich method, comparing 3 product concepts, the first concept was chosen because it was suit among others, easy to fabricate, good portability, and lower costs than existing products. The results of performance tests with a water flow speed of 1.28 m/s, the average power produced by the screw turbine is 29.10 watts, and from solar panels is 24.95 watts. This product is equipped with a remote monitoring system via website to unify the voltage, current and frequency. The total cost of production is Rp. 9,534,284.00,-.

Abstract

Electrical energy is an important source of energy for the community. In producing the majority of electricity still using coal burning which has a negative impact on breathing, the solution to the problem of pollution is to use renewable energy. PLTPH is one of the sources of electrical energy. The potential of PLTMH in Central Java is 75,926 kW. The construction of a hydroelectric power plant is expensive, overseas manufacturing a turbine costs about 99 million rupiah. In this study using the Ulrich method, where this method compares 3 design concepts with four chosen criteria, namely the fabrication process, portability, dimensions, and costs. Making this design using autodesk fusion software, the fabrication cost of this tool is Rp 4,740,700.00 with details of the cost of raw materials of Rp. Rp. 3,748,700.00, direct labor costs of Rp. 625,000.00, Overhead costs of367,000.00. Performance tests carried out in rivers that have a water velocity of 0.8 m / s and a river width of 4 meters, obtained the results of a turbine rotation without a load of 300 rpm measured using a tachometer.

Abstract

Kerjasama antara ITS dengan Ponpes Al Khoiriyah Desa Wates, Kecamatan Sumbergempol, Kabupaten Tulungagung telah dimulai sejak tahun 2021 melalui skema abmas dan KKN Mahasiswa. Tahun 2023 lalu telah dibuat lampu dan sel surya di atas bukit Podo di kawasan Ponpes Al Khoiriyah oleh tim KKN. Namun, dari kaki bukit hingga puncak bukit belum terdapat tangga permanen yang memudahkan orang mendaki, dan hal inilah yang menjadi kesulitan tim abmas kami tahun lalu. Tangga ini menjadi salah satu hal penting untuk pengembangan kawasan wisata Glamping Podo Rukun (GPR) ponpes Al Khoiriyah agar pengunjung dapat naik ke atas bukit, melihat pemandangan dari atas bukit dan bagi pengelola juga memudahkan untuk melakukan pemeliharaan terhadap fasilitas di atas bukit. Dengan demikian, tujuan dari Abmas tematik dana departemen tahun 2024 ini adalah membuat tangga permanen di Bukit Podo. Kegiatan ini penting dalam rangka mengembangkan kawasan desa wisata untuk meningkatkan potensi daerah dan pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat yang mendukung SDG Pekerjaan Layak dan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi. Luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah publikasi di media massa, di jurnal abmas, dan video yang dilengkapi HAKI. Pengabdian masyarakat telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8-18 Juli 2024, dimulai dengan survey, pengadaan alat dan bahan, serta pekerjaan konstruksi tangga di bukit Podo secara intensif dalam jangka waktu sekitar 10 hari. Pada akhir kegiatan telah dilakukan kegiatan serah terima hasil abmas KKN kepada pihak ponpes.
