Abstract

Controlling hydroponic plants, which is currently being carried out manually, can be said to be less effective because it still involves the hard work of farmers to continuously monitor the condition of the hydroponic plants. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to develop a model that can be used as a recommendation system for actions that farmers need to take based on hydroponic crop conditions. The model formed with this machine learning method will then be used in the Hydromon application which allows farmers to manage and monitor the condition of hydroponic plants and take action based on the recommendations given. This model was developed using a deep neural network algorithm consisting of five layers with the help of the TensorFlow framework. The results show that the model is accurate with an accuracy value of 96.47% on the test data to classify plant conditions so that it can be used in the Hydromon application.

Abstract

The initial stage in digital image processing, known as pre-processing, plays a vital role in enhancing image quality. This essential step involves employing various techniques to prepare the image for subsequent analysis and feature extraction. Among the array of pre-processing methodologies utilized, thresholding, median averaging, median filtering, rapid Fourier transform, point operations, intensity modification, and histogram equalization stand out as prominent tools. These techniques are employed to mitigate noise, enhance contrast, and optimize the overall visual quality of the image. Once the pre-processing phase is complete, the focus often shifts to specific tasks, such as identifying objects or features within the image. In the context of analyzing watermelon images, one such task is the detection of watermelon seeds. To accomplish this, the pre-processed image undergoes further refinement through the application of edge detection techniques. Gradient edge detection, isotropic, Canny, and Sobel edge detection are among the methods commonly employed for this purpose. These techniques aim to highlight the edges and contours of objects within the image, facilitating the identification of distinct features such as watermelon seeds. However, our investigation reveals that not all edge detection methods are equally effective in this context. By employing a combination of pre-processing techniques and judiciously selecting edge detection methods, researchers can enhance the accuracy and reliability of their image processing workflows, ultimately advancing our understanding of complex biological structures such as watermelon seeds.

Abstract

Upaya kesehatan masyarakat dilakukan karena terdapat berbagai masalah kesehatan, khususnya mengenai obat. Berbagai permasalahan mengenai obat disebabkan masyarakat kurang paham tentang penggunaan dan pengelolaan obat yang baik dan benar. Salah satu cara penggunaan dan pengelolaan obat yang baik dan benar adalah dengan menerapkan program DAGUSIBU (DApatkan, GUnakan, SImpan, BUang) Obat. Berdasarkan hasil observasi yang dilakukan pada masyarakat Pekon Cahaya Negeri, Kecamatan Lemong, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Provinsi Lampung belum pernah mendapatkan informasi mengenai DAGUSIBU sehingga perlu dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai DAGUSIBU tersebut. Adanya kegiatan ini diharapkan agar masyarakat Pekon Cahaya Negeri mendapatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman serta menerapkan informasi mengenai DAGUSIBU dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini terdiri dari 3 tahapan: 1.) Pra-kegiatan; persiapan bahan, materi, dan media informasi berupa leaflet atau brosur serta melakukan survei pada masyarakat 2.) Pelaksanaan kegiatan; pengisian quisioner pre-test, pembagian media informasi yaitu leaflet atau brosur, pembagian roti dan vitamin, sosialisasi materi mengenai DAGUSIBU, diskusi dan tanya jawab, pembagian doorprize, dan pengisian quisioner post-test pada masyarakat, 3.) Pasca-kegiatan; penilaian hasil pengisian quisioner pre-test dan post-test serta evaluasi keberhasilan kegiatan secara menyeluruh. Kegiatan sosialisasi DAGUSIBU Obat berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapatkan respon positif masyarakat. Tingkat pemahaman masyarakat rata-rata sebesar 93,125% berdasarkan hasil penilaian quisioner post-test setelah diberikan sosialisasi dari yang sebelumnya 68,75% dari hasil penilaian quisioner pre-test. Hasil penilaian ini mengalami peningkatan antara sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan sosialisasi. Sosialisasi ini meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kepada masyarakat yang mana hal ini dapat mewujudkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat yang paripurna dan setinggi-tingginya. Harapan kedepannya adalah kegiatan ini dapat diikuti oleh peserta yang lebih banyak lagi melihat dari indikator keberhasilan yang cukup besar sehingga semakin banyak peserta yang ikut, maka semakin banyak ilmu pengetahuan yang akan dibagikan kepada masyarakat. Untuk kegiatan serupa seperti ini juga dapat dilakukan dengan berkoordinasi dengan instansi pelayanan kesehatan setempat sehingga cakupan wilayah sosialisasi dapat diperluas.

Abstract

Dengan menyajikan data dan informasi secara visual, infografis adalah alat komunikasi yang efektif. Penulis berbicara tentang pembuatan infografis yang berfokus pada pendidikan dan kependudukan. Peningkatan dan perubahan populasi memengaruhi kebijakan dan pengambilan keputusan dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan. Dimulai dengan analisis data demografis terbaru di Pekon Suka Mulya, Kecamatan Lemong, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Provinsi Lampung. Data ini mencakup agama, jumlah total penduduk, jumlah laki-laki dan perempuan, jumlah KK menurut status pekerjaan, dan persentase kepala keluarga menurut status pendidikan. Infografis pendidikan juga membantu memvisualisasikan tingkat partisipasi sekolah, kelulusan, akses pendidikan tinggi, dan sikap pantang menyerah. Infografis juga menekankan hubungan antara pendidikan dan kependudukan. Faktor demografis seperti pertumbuhan populasi dan distribusi usia dapat berdampak pada sistem pendidikan, termasuk kebutuhan infrastruktur sekolah dan tenaga pengajar. Informasi penting lainnya termasuk kesenjangan pendidikan di perkotaan dan pedesaan, perbedaan gender dalam pendidikan, dan upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan akses dan kualitas pendidikan. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang data kependudukan di Pekon Suka Mulya serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan tentang sikap pantang menyerah siswa-siswi SDN 117 Krui. Proses pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi perencanaan dan pembuatan infografis, kemudian presentasi dan penyerahan infografis kepada Bapak Solikun, S.Pd. sebagai peratin/kepala desa dan anggota staf Pekon Suka Mulya. Infografis pendidikan tentang sikap pantang menyerah untuk siswa-siswi SDN 117 Krui juga diserahkan kepada perwakilan guru di SDN 117 Krui

Abstract

At this time logistics companies have a very important role in everyday life, especially in package delivery. The high level of online shopping is one of the reasons why the role of logistics is very important in our daily lives. Thus, seeing the common problems that occur in the conventional logistics delivery process, we came up with the idea to create an integrated smart locker to be one of the replacements for existing logistics outlets, we hope that with this application we can reduce the company's logistics expenses used in procuring logistics outlets and make it easier for couriers to work in the package delivery process. We created this application using a microservices architecture with the SDLC method used is Agile Dynamic System Development (DSDM). React JS framework as an interface and Express js and Laravel as an application that works behind the interface. The idea that we initiated we raised as a project within the company with the client from the company. In the end, the smart locker program made using the DSDM method has been completed and is ready to be implemented in the company and the client

Abstract

Sistem rekomendasi kursus Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) berperan penting dalam mendukung pembelajaran daring dengan memberikan saran kursus yang sesuai dengan preferensi pengguna. Dalam penelitian ini, kami mengembangkan model sistem rekomendasi kursus MOOC berbasis Collaborative Filtering dengan memanfaatkan dataset Coursera yang telah diproses. Preprocessing meliputi pembersihan data, penghapusan label yang tidak diperlukan, alokasi label, penghapusan data duplikat, dan analisis sentimen untuk memastikan konsistensi antara ulasan dan penilaian. Implementasi Collaborative Filtering melibatkan pembuatan tabel pivot, perhitungan Centered Cosine Similarity, dan prediksi penilaian kursus untuk pengguna yang belum pernah mengambil kursus tertentu. Evaluasi kinerja model dilakukan menggunakan metrik Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) untuk mengukur tingkat kesalahan prediksi model. Hasil analisis dan evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa model yang dikembangkan berhasil memberikan rekomendasi kursus dengan tingkat kesalahan yang rendah, seperti yang tercermin dari nilai RMSE yang diperoleh yaitu 0.24 untuk sistem rekomendasi kursus MOOC. Integrasi Explainable AI dengan teknik LIME juga membantu dalam menjelaskan dan memahami rekomendasi yang diberikan oleh sistem, meningkatkan penjelasan tambahan terhadap model yang dibuat. Saran untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut termasuk fokus pada peningkatan interpretabilitas model dengan memperdalam integrasi Explainable AI, menggunakan dataset yang lebih besar, serta diversifikasi teknik pemodelan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan akurasi rekomendasi yang diberikan oleh sistem.

Abstract

Desa Cahaya Negeri yang terletak di Kecamatan Lemong, Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Provinsi Lampung, mengalami berbagai permasalahan seperti keselamatan berlalu lintas yang rendah, kerusakan infrastruktur sekolah, serta luapan air yang berlebih. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang keselamatan berlalu lintas, memperbaiki fasilitas pendidikan, dan mengatasi masalah drainase. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, perancangan desain, serta implementasi solusi infrastruktur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang keselamatan berkendara, perbaikan fasilitas sekolah dasar, dan rancangan saluran drainase yang mampu mengurangi risiko banjir. Kesimpulannya, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan dampak positif terhadap kualitas hidup masyarakat Desa Cahaya Negeri melalui pendidikan dan infrastruktur yang lebih baik.

Abstract

The increase in internet service users in obtaining information and knowledge has made many institutions or organizations begin to create and design websites. One of the institutions that started to build a website is UPT OAIL. In the process of forming the OAIL website, a good User experience (UX) design is needed because it affects user satisfaction in using the website. The analysis and design of user experience in this study uses the Task Centered System Design (TCSD) method. The TCSD method can identify user needs and task needs. The stages in the research are user identification and observation, user and organization requirements analysis, design as scenario and walkthrough evaluate. In this study, identification and observation were carried out by interviewing UPT OAIL staff as well as prospective users. The test is based on the usability method using USE Questionare on the ease of use dimension. The results of the study obtained that the interpretation score for testing the ease of use dimension was 94.2% with the conclusion that the average user or respondent chose the design of each page and the features made were very easy to use.

Abstract

In the learning process, most exams to assess learning achievement have been carried out by providing questions in the form of short answers or essay questions. The variety of answers given by students makes a teacher have to focus on reading them. This process of assigning grades is difficult to guarantee quality if done manually. Moreover, each class is mastered by a different teacher, which can cause inequality in the grades obtained by students due to the influence of differences in teacher experience. Therefore the automated answer assessment research was developed. The automatic short answer assessment is designed to automatically assess and evaluate students' answers based on a trained set of answer documents.  The automated grading system uses the cosine similarity method to determine the degree of similarity of a student's answer to the teacher's answer. While the word weighting used is the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method.  The data used is a question totaling 5 questions with each question answered by 30 students, while the students' answers are assessed by experts to determine the real value. This study was evaluated by Mean Absolute Error (MAE) with the resulting value of 0.22.
