Abstract

This study aims to analyze and evaluate the relationship between online game addiction and sleep quality in students at senior high school 1 Lubuk Sikaping.. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with descriptive and correlational research types. The sample in this study amounted to 30 students of class XII at senior high school  1 Lubuk Sikaping. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques and Pearson product moment correlation analysis with the help of the JASP version 16.3 program. The results of the study revealed that online game addiction of students at senior high school 1 Lubuk Sikaping is generally in the high category, and sleep quality in students at senior high school 1 Lubuk Sikaping is generally in the low category, and there is a significant relationship between online game addiction and sleep quality at students at senior high school 1 Lubuk Sikaping

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement the Pojok Baca (Reading Corner) program as an effort to enhance literacy and numeracy skills at SD Negeri 010, Tahtul Yaman Village, Pelayangan District, Jambi City. Based on initial observations conducted on March 27, 2024, several challenges were identified in student literacy and numeracy, such as low reading interest, limited library facilities, and a lack of support from parents and the community. To address these issues, Pojok Baca was designed in each classroom, providing books appropriate to the students' age levels. The implementation involved students, teachers, and parents in an interactive literacy process, utilizing games and songs to boost reading interest. Evaluation revealed that the program successfully increased students' reading interest and positively contributed to their literacy and numeracy skills. The program's success was supported by regular evaluations that provided feedback for further improvements and development. Thus, Pojok Baca has the potential to become an effective tool for fostering a literate and numerate generation in elementary schools.

Abstract

Pelecehan seksual merupakan ancaman serius bagi lingkungan pendidikan di sekolah, mempengaruhi kesejahteraan siswa dan integritas lingkungan belajar  sehingga diperlukannya upaya untuk mencegah dan menanggulangi pelecehan seksual. Tujuan kegiatan  pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan psikoedukasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual serta  sosialisasi Undang-Undang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual (TPKS). Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Pondok Pesantren Sabilul Jannah, Provinsi Jambi. Sasaran kegiatan adalah para santri dengan berjumlah 36 orang. Kegiatan Psikoedukasi memberikan landasan yang kuat dalam mengenali, mencegah, dan menanggapi pelecehan seksual dengan memberikan informasi, keterampilan, dan pemahaman yang dibutuhkan kepada siswa, pendidik, dan staf sekolah. Sosialisasi TPKS, di sisi lain, memberikan pemahaman tentang hak-hak korban dan prosedur hukum yang terkait dengan pelecehan seksual. Dengan memadukan kedua pendekatan ini, diharapkan dapat diciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih aman, mendukung, dan bebas dari pelecehan seksual.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that many students experience academic stress or are at risk of experiencing academic stress. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of coping mechanisms on students' resilience in dealing with academic stress. The methodology used is a literature review, where the reviewed literature consists of previous studies relevant to this research. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that coping mechanisms influence students' resilience in facing academic stress. Students with effective coping mechanisms tend to have higher resilience in managing various academic demands.

Abstract

This study intends to explore the role of guidance and counseling in addressing student learning problems at school. The method chosen for this article is Literature Review. The method in this research is using a literature review approach. A literature review is a study that has the aim of searching and analyzing in a comprehensive, structured, without doubt and may be repeated process. This approach is used because of similarities and relevance in systematically assessing all studies related to the role of guidance and counseling in schools. This research consists of 5 articles starting from 2019-2023. Based on the study analysis, it shows that guidance and counseling have a significant role in helping students overcome various learning problems, such as academic difficulties, low motivation, interpersonal conflicts, and others. A holistic approach based on individual needs can provide effective support for students in developing their potential optimally. The implication of these findings is the need to increase the role and support for counselors and teachers in providing quality guidance and counseling services in educational institutions. It is hoped that this study will be able to contribute to improving the understanding and practice of guidance and counseling in schools in order to develop learning outcomes and achievements for the welfare of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakanpendekatanKuantitatifEksperimenjenisSingleSubjectResearch(SSR) dengan desainA-B-A. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 72 siswa kelas X SMAN 9 Tebo.TeknikpengambilansampelmenggunakanPurposiveSampling.Kriteria dalam penelitianiniadalahsiswayangmemilikikecemasansangatberatdenganskortertinggi berdasarkanpengukuranSkalaDASS-21(Depression,Anxiety,andStressScale).Dari 72siswa tersebutdidapatkansampelsebanyak3siswa. Alat pengumpulandatadalam penelitian ini yaitu Skala DASS-21. Berdasarkan uji Wilcoxon Rank Test SPSS 22, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) dapat menurunkan kecemasan belajar pada siswa SMA N 9 Tebo dengan signifikansi 0,00.

Abstract

The notion of “meaning of life” carries substantial importance when considering the holistic state of being throughout different phases of one’s existence. Adolescents with the cognitive ability to comprehend and determine the significance of existence frequently exhibit a feeling of contentment and overall welfare in their encounters. This research endeavour aimed to investigate the impact of life goal interpretation on the subjective well-being of adolescents of Minangkabau ethnicity. This investigation is quantitative and employs correlational methodology. Adolescents belonging to the Minangkabau ethnic group were assembled as subjects for this study. This research utilized a sample of 182 adolescents from the Minangkabau tribe. The research employs a subjective well-being instrument derived from Dineer, comprising 56 items, to assess cognitive and affective dimensions. Subsequently, elements of creative, experience, and attitude value are evaluated using a meaning of life instrument developed from Victor Frank’s theory, comprising 47 items. Methods for analyzing data consist of descriptive, correlation, and straightforward regression tests. Numerous studies indicate that adolescents consider life objectives of the utmost importance. On the other hand, adolescents of Minangkabau ethnicity should pay close attention to their subjective well-being. With a variance of 42.7%, the meaning of life is substantially impacts the subjective well-being of Minangkabau adolescents. These results suggest that the notion of life’s purpose significantly affects an individual’s subjective well-being. Investigating and comprehending the purpose of existence can cultivate positive emotions and generate sentiments of contentment and joy among adolescents.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology demands that all activities be carried out effectively and efficiently, as well as in the guidance and counseling assessment process, innovation and technology development is needed through the website-based AUM PTSDL series. The purpose of this service is training and developing school counselor skills in using the website-based AUM PTSDL assessment tool. This service is carried out by school counselors who are spread across districts in West Sumatra Province. Data was collected through an online questionnaire using Google From which was then analyzed using JAPS. Based on the results of the school counselor training, they felt very satisfied with the use of processing, appearance, ease of access, how to use the website-based PTSDL series AUM, then participants also felt that the material and practices presented by the resource person as a whole were very relevant. In the future, the website-based AUM PTSDL series product can be improved according to the advice of the school counselor and the cooperation of BK organizations is needed in socializing and promoting the product more broadly and the AUM PTSDL series can be developed with other formats.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan inovasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan melalui pendampingan pembuatan Batik Tulis Jambi bagi guru dan siswa di SMK Negeri 1 Muara Bungo. Tujuan lainnya adalah memperkuat pemahaman peserta didik terhadap identitas budaya dan nilai-nilai kebangsaan dengan mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran PPKn. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi proses analisis dan dialog intensif dengan pihak sekolah mitra, diikuti dengan tahapan workshop dan pelatihan teknis pembuatan batik tulis Jambi, serta bimbingan penerapan batik sebagai media pembelajaran PPKn. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan pengenalan sejarah dan filosofi motif batik Jambi, yang mengandung nilai-nilai Pancasila seperti cinta tanah air, kerja keras, dan gotong royong, sebelum dilanjutkan ke pelatihan teknis membatik. Hasil pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dasar membatik yang signifikan pada peserta, serta perubahan positif dalam sikap guru dan siswa, di mana guru mulai menggunakan media berbasis budaya lokal dan siswa menjadi lebih menghargai budaya daerah mereka sendiri. Secara keseluruhan, program ini berhasil memperkaya inovasi pembelajaran PPKn dengan memperkuat pembentukan karakter dan meningkatkan relevansi materi pembelajaran dengan kehidupan nyata siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the subjective well-being of adolescents in Minangkabau ethnicity. There are 182 participants of Minang adolescencets. The method in this study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The research instrument uses a subjective well being scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and boxplot analysis used the JAPS (Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program) application. The result showed that the subjective well being Minangkabau adolescents were in the high category, based on the subjective well being dimension, the dominant life statistic was in the high category and the affective dimension was in the medium category. Then based on gender, there is no significant difference in subjective well being of adolescent men and woman. This shows that the subjective well-being condition of Minangkabau adolescents is high as well as in each of its dimensions, both cognitive and affective. This condition needs to be optimized through various parties so that Minangkabau adolescents have good subjective well-being and avoid maladaptive behavior.
