Abstract

The era of education that increasingly demands an increase in the quality of human resources (HR) has positioned teachers as an important component in the learning process. The application of learning methods that are relevant to the demands of the times is needed to encourage the development of students' increasingly complex problem-solving skills. Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers are expected to be able to present a learning environment that is conducive to the development of students' abilities through a contextual and project-based approach. Project Based Learning (PjBL) is one of the learning models that aims to provide real project-based learning experiences to students. This model is based on the principles of Vygotsky's constructivism, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction and collaboration in learning. In the context of PAK learning, project based learning helps students develop critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, as well as problem-solving abilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the impact of implementing the project based learning model on improving the problem-solving abilities of grade XI students at SMA Negeri I Kauditan. Data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students and Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers show that project based learning has proven effective in developing students' critical and analytical thinking skills. Students feel more confident in facing challenges, more collaborative in working in groups, and more disciplined in completing tasks. Teacher evaluations also confirm that the process of working on a project is as important as the end result, because it can describe the development of students' problem-solving skills as a whole.

Abstract

Facing the 5.0 era, Christian religious education is one of the important pillars for instilling social and cultural values in society. In the 21st century, science and technology have increased, requiring Christian religious education teachers to teach effectively while motivating students to actively learn. Teachers' social competence, including interpersonal skills, the ability to build positive relationships, and empathy are the main things in realizing a conducive learning process. The purpose of this study is to explore the obligations of Christian religious education teachers' social competence in creating a pleasant learning atmosphere and increasing the learning interest of grade IX students of SMP Negeri II Kauditan. Data were obtained through interviews with the principal, vice principal, teachers, and students. The author obtained results in the form of effective communication between teachers and students, harmonious relationships, and a supportive learning environment that contributed significantly to increasing student participation and motivation to learn. The conclusion obtained is that the success of Christian religious education teachers in creating a productive and interesting teaching atmosphere is highly dependent on the teacher's social abilities. Thus, teacher social competence is a crucial factor in encouraging active student involvement so that they can achieve effective and good learning outcomes.

Abstract

It is important for a Pastor in his ministry as a servant of God to know his duties and calling. In thiscase, not only as a preacher but also as a counselor who builds relationships with the congregation. Asa counselor, the Pastor must practice pastoral counseling services and first understand ethical issues.The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the ethics of the Pastor's pastoral counselingservices for congregations experiencing problems in their lives. In this paper, the author uses aqualitative research method with a descriptive approach and data collection techniques using literaturein the form of journals, books, articles related to this research so that he can collect data accuratelyand precisely. Based on a review of the literature, the author finds that the ethics of pastoralcounseling services are humanitarian in nature, the role of pastoral counseling in the lives ofcongregations experiencing problems, and a Pastor must have pastoral counseling ethics in whichthere are 4 principles, namely confidentiality, responsibility, awareness of limitations as a Counselor,and knowing basic needs of the congregation. Therefore, various ethics of the Pastor's pastoralcounseling services must be practiced with the congregation so that they can feel the warmth, careand togetherness of a Pastor.

Abstract

Abstract: This study explores the continuity of the concept of salvation history (Old Testament) which is a topic of interest to readers of John's Gospel, having symbolic elements of Jewish festivals. Through a reading of John's Gospel, the reader discovers how not only Jesus is presented theologically as the Messiah but also the concrete fulfillment of what God revealed in the festivals and temples of that time. However, the understanding of how Jesus fulfills the symbols and festivals of the Old Testament has been the subject of theological debate. This research was conducted with a descriptive approach, by conducting a literature study related to salvation history from the perspective of the Gospel of John. It seeks to reveal how the Gospel of John reinterprets the festivals of salvation, offering a new understanding of Jesus as the true and final fulfillment of the new Passover for all believers and the establishment of Holy Communion in the Christian tradition. Jesus fulfills the symbolic meaning of the Feast of Salvation, and the Old Testament is seen as a shadow pointing to the ultimate reality in Christ. Jesus' participation in and reinterpretation of the feast is especially during His last supper, which is the Passover meal.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis online social support bagi penyintas Covid-19 dari perspektif pendampingan masyarakat di Karombasan Selatan, Manado, Sulawesi Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan pengumpulan data yaitu wawancara. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa para penyintas Covid-19 di Karombasan Selatan mendapatkan perlakuan tidak baik dari masyarakat seperti dicaci maki, diusir dari rumah, diancam membakar rumah, diasingkan dari pergaulan. Online social support bersifat informasi, emosional, instrumental, penghargaan, jaringan sosial hadir untuk memberikan pendampingan masyarakat seperti gotong royong, tolong-menolong, menopang, mengasihi dan menyayangi, mendengarkan sehingga para penyintas Covid-19 di Karombasan Selatan telah merasakan kenyamanan, diperhatikan, dihormati, disayangi, dicintai, dihargai, dan terobati. Pada akhirnya, online social support dan pendampingan masyarakat bagi para penyintas Covid-19 di Karombasan Selatan berpengaruh positif karena mereka dapat menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari dengan baik dan kembali lebih kuat tanpa memikirkan lagi pengalaman buruk atau perlakuan tidak pantas.

Abstract

Write down Children from broken home families often face significant psychological disorders, such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral problems, which impact their emotional and social development. Therefore, this research focuses on how the integration of theology and psychology can be an effective solution to support the mental recovery of children who have been traumatized by an intact family situation. This research uses the literature study method by analyzing the main theories in psychology related to children's mental disorders and the recovery process, as well as theological concepts that emphasize spiritual healing and love. This approach aims to find the relationship and harmony between theological principles, such as forgiveness, love, and restoration through faith, and psychological methods, such as cognitive therapy and trauma-based psychotherapy. The results showed that a combination of theological and psychological approaches can have a positive effect on children's mental and spiritual well-being. Theology-based interventions, such as prayer, pastoral counseling, and church community support, help provide deep emotional strengthening. Meanwhile, psychological therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed psychotherapy, provide space for children to overcome their trauma and rebuild self-confidence. The integration of these two approaches not only accelerates mental recovery, but also strengthens the spiritual dimension, which is an important part of the overall healing process. Abstrak Anak-anak dari keluarga broken home sering menghadapi gangguan psikologis yang signifikan, seperti kecemasan, depresi, dan masalah perilaku, yang berdampak pada perkembangan emosional dan sosial mereka. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana integrasi teologi dan psikologi dapat menjadi solusi efektif untuk mendukung pemulihan mental anak-anak yang mengalami trauma akibat situasi keluarga yang tidak utuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menganalisis teori utama dalam psikologi terkait gangguan mental anak-anak dan proses pemulihannya, serta konsep teologi yang menekankan penyembuhan rohani dan kasih. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk menemukan hubungan dan keselarasan antara prinsip-prinsip teologi, seperti pengampunan, kasih, dan pemulihan melalui iman, dengan metode psikologis, seperti terapi kognitif dan psikoterapi berbasis trauma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi pendekatan teologis dan psikologis dapat memberikan efek positif pada kesejahteraan mental dan spiritual anak. Intervensi berbasis teologi, seperti doa, konseling pastoral, dan dukungan komunitas gereja, membantu memberikan penguatan emosional yang mendalam. Sementara itu, terapi psikologis, seperti terapi perilaku kognitif (CBT) dan psikoterapi berbasis trauma, menyediakan ruang bagi anak untuk mengatasi trauma mereka dan membangun kembali rasa percaya diri. Integrasi kedua pendekatan ini tidak hanya mempercepat pemulihan mental, tetapi juga memperkuat dimensi spiritual, yang menjadi bagian penting dalam proses penyembuhan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Minahasa mempunyai teologis yang melekat pada diri masyarakatnya. Hal ini terlihat dalam kegiatan Mapalus atau gotong royong antar masyarakat yang saling membantu satu dengan lainnya. Penelitian ini membahas pentingnya penerapan teologi kontekstual dalam memahami iman Kristen di tengah budaya Minahasa, dengan menyoroti interaksi antara nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan prinsip-prinsip teologi Kristen. Teologi kontekstual berfungsi sebagai jembatan yang menghubungkan tradisi keimanan dengan budaya lokal, sehingga ajaran Kristen dapat diterima dan relevan dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi unsur-unsur budaya Minahasa yang sejalan dengan nilai-nilai teologi Kristen dan menganalisis bagaimana unsur-unsur tersebut diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Minahasa. Budaya Minahasa ditandai nilai-nilai seperti mapalus (kerja sama), penghormatan kepada leluhur, dan hubungan harmonis dengan alam. Sistem kepercayaan tradisional, yang mencakup kepercayaan kepada Opo Empung dan roh leluhur, turut mempengaruhi praktik keagamaan masyarakat. Dalam konteks ini, teologi kontekstual memiliki peran dalam mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai tersebut ke dalam ajaran Kristen, misalnya melalui penggunaan simbol-simbol budaya dalam liturgi gereja dan penerapan nilai mapalus dalam pengajaran tentang kasih Kristen. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur, analisis teks-teks teologis, dan wawancara dengan tokoh agama serta adat Minahasa untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang kontekstualisasi teologi Kristen dalam budaya Minahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa budaya Minahasa dapat diselaraskan dengan teologi Kristen, dengan gereja memainkan peran penting dalam menjaga budaya lokal sekaligus mencegah terjadinya kesalahan dalam kontekstualisasi yang dapat merusak ajaran iman. Dengan demikian, kebaruan yang ditawarkan dalam penelitian ini mencakup nilai sosial, praktik spiritual, tradisi adat untuk memperkaya iman Kristen di komunitas Minahasa dengan nilai-nilai teologis didalamnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kontribusi etika sosial yang diterapkan oleh orang tua dalam membentuk tanggung jawab sosial anak usia sekolah dasar dalam konteks masyarakat multikultural. Etika sosial dipahami sebagai seperangkat prinsip moral dan nilai-nilai yang menjadi pedoman dalam membangun hubungan sosial yang adil, saling menghormati, dan penuh tanggung jawab. Sementara itu, tanggung jawab sosial anak mencerminkan kemampuan mereka untuk memahami dan melaksanakan peran sosial dalam lingkungan mereka. Dalam masyarakat yang ditandai oleh keragaman budaya, nilai, dan kepercayaan, proses internalisasi tanggung jawab sosial pada anak menghadirkan tantangan tersendiri, sehingga menuntut keterlibatan aktif orang tua sebagai figur moral utama dalam kehidupan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik studi pustaka sebagai metode pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa orang tua yang secara konsisten menerapkan nilai-nilai etika sosial melalui keteladanan, komunikasi yang terbuka dan reflektif, serta pola pengasuhan yang adaptif, berperan signifikan dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran sosial anak sejak dini. Anak-anak yang dibesarkan dengan fondasi etika sosial yang kokoh cenderung menunjukkan sikap yang lebih toleran, kooperatif, dan mampu berinteraksi secara harmonis dengan individu dari latar belakang budaya yang berbeda. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya peningkatan kapasitas etis orang tua serta penguatan kerja sama antara keluarga, sekolah, dan komunitas dalam membentuk pola pengasuhan yang kontekstual dan tanggap terhadap dinamika keberagaman budaya.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe and analyze various factors causing the lack of participation of GMIM Syaloom Karombasan youth in Sunday worship services. In terms of quantity, the church youths are around 379 members, but only 13 people are involved in Sunday worship services, namely the youth commission. This makes the author feel concerned to examine more deeply the problems experienced by young people. This paper uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis and interview approach because it can present data related to the lives of youth in service. This paper uses data collection techniques such as structured in-depth interviews. This paper uses the theory of church development from Rob Van Kessel as a knife to sharpen the analysis of the problem. In the results of the research that the author got, it was caused by youth not taking the initiative, promiscuity, musical instruments and sound systems were inadequate, youth creativity was lacking. BPMJ does not facilitate youth in service, lack of communication between BPMJ and youth, and the formation of youth groups who are rich, poor, beautiful, and handsome.  AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa berbagai faktor penyebab minimnya partisipasi pemuda GMIM Syaloom Karombasan dalam pelayanan ibadah minggu. Secara kuantitas para pemuda gereja terbilang banyak sekitar 379 anggota, tetapi yang terlibat dalam pelayanan ibadah minggu hanya 13 orang yaitu komisi pemuda. Hal tersebut membuat penulis merasa prihatin untuk mengkaji lebih dalam terkait permasalahan yang dialami para pemuda. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis dan wawancara karena dapat menyajikan data terkait kehidupan pemuda dalam berpelayanan. Tulisan ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data seperti wawancara mendalam secara terstruktur. Adapun tulisan ini menggunakan teori pembangunan jemaat dari Rob Van Kessel sebagai pisau untuk mempertajam analisa permasalahan. Dalam hasil penelitian yang penulis dapatkan disebabkan pemuda tidak berinisiatif, pergaulan bebas, alat musik dan sound system tidak memadai, kreatifitas pemuda kurang. BPMJ tidak memfasilitasi pemuda dalam pelayanan, minimnya komunikasi BPMJ dan pemuda, dan terbentuknya kelompok-kelompok pemuda yang kaya, miskin, cantik, ganteng.

Abstract

The philosophy of Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou has been ignored by various Minahasa communities in modern times. The essence of the philosophy is increasingly lost due to the attitude and actions of the Minahasa community, who live full of bringing each other down in order to gain self-esteem and personal dignity, attitudes that belittle others, showing off their social identity as being richer, being arrogant (not wanting more competitors), and fighting (which puts others at the lowest). The purpose of this study is to provide an understanding of Indonesian guidance and counseling for the Minahasa community or congregation, so that they maintain and convey Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou as a guideline for their daily lives that benefits others. This study uses a qualitative approach with thematic analysis of literature on Minahasa cultural values and pastoral care. The findings of this study offer a culture-based pastoral care model that can be adopted by GMIM and other religious institutions in Indonesia.
