Abstract

The era of education that increasingly demands an increase in the quality of human resources (HR) has positioned teachers as an important component in the learning process. The application of learning methods that are relevant to the demands of the times is needed to encourage the development of students' increasingly complex problem-solving skills. Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers are expected to be able to present a learning environment that is conducive to the development of students' abilities through a contextual and project-based approach. Project Based Learning (PjBL) is one of the learning models that aims to provide real project-based learning experiences to students. This model is based on the principles of Vygotsky's constructivism, which emphasizes the importance of social interaction and collaboration in learning. In the context of PAK learning, project based learning helps students develop critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills, as well as problem-solving abilities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyze the impact of implementing the project based learning model on improving the problem-solving abilities of grade XI students at SMA Negeri I Kauditan. Data collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving students and Christian Religious Education (PAK) teachers show that project based learning has proven effective in developing students' critical and analytical thinking skills. Students feel more confident in facing challenges, more collaborative in working in groups, and more disciplined in completing tasks. Teacher evaluations also confirm that the process of working on a project is as important as the end result, because it can describe the development of students' problem-solving skills as a whole.

Abstract

Ajaran pelayanan penggembalaan wajib dilakukan oleh seorang gembala sidang sehingga bisa mencapai tujuan sebagai hamba Tuhan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini penting mempelajari ajaran-ajaran tentang etika pelayanan penggembalaan yang berlandaskan pada 1 Timotius 4:1-16. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ajaran-ajaran dan etika pelayanan penggembalaan 1 Timotius 4:1-16 bagi sidang gembala di Gesba Shaloom Taas Manado. Tulisan ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik serta mengumpulkan data berupa wawancara. Penelitian ini mendapati adanya ajaran-ajaran dan etika pelayanan penggembalaan yang berdasarkan pada 1 Timotius 4:1-16 sehingga mendapatkan data terkait tujuan pelayanan bagi gembala sidang, tahap-tahap pelayanan gembala sidang, dan implikasi bagi gereja Gesba Shaloom Taas Manado.

Abstract

Kualitas seorang guru dapat dilihat ketika ia mengajar siswa secara efektif dan memberikan kesempatan lebih untuk aktif dalam pelajaran. Tulisan ini bertujuan menganalisis dampak penggunaan model pembelajaran blended learning yang meningkatkan kinerja profesional dosen. Penelitian ini memakai metode kualitatif bercirikan pendekatan deskriptif dan wawancara digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data. Temuan yang penulis dapatkan di lapangan ialah guru-guru di SMP Kristen Permata Hati Manado tidak mengajar secara kreatif, sehingga kurang memberi kontribusi positif bagi siswa. Siswa tidak bersemangat belajar, karena kurang memiliki integritas dan kreativitas dalam mengajar. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran yang bersifat kontekstual perlu dilakukan untuk menarik minat siswa, sehingga bisa meraih prestasi belajar terlebih khusus pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Penting bagi guru untuk menjiwai pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Kristen berbasis kontekstual dan kompetensi, serta memiliki strategi yang cocok dalam menididk siswa.

Abstract

Multicultural education has a significant role in creating awareness and empathy for cultural diversity in an increasingly heterogeneous society. AI technology offers opportunities to support this education through personalization of learning, data-based analysis of student needs, and provision of culturally relevant content. This article aims to analyze the effectiveness and ethical challenges of implementing AI in multicultural learning. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a literature review technique, which analyzes literature from Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar related to the use of AI in educational contexts. The results of the study indicate that AI can improve students from various cultural backgrounds, facilitate automatic translation, and support more objective assessments. However, the application of AI in education also faces challenges, including the risk of algorithmic bias and data privacy issues. Algorithms that are not inclusive can reinforce cultural stereotypes, while student data collection raises privacy concerns. The conclusion is that AI has great potential in improving multicultural learning, but requires ethical fences and systems that accommodate cultural diversity so that its implementation can be fair and effective.

Abstract

Biblical leadership plays a crucial role in the development of church congregations. At GESBA The Newlife Jakarta, leadership principles based on Biblical teachings serve as the main guide in shaping the character and spirituality of the congregation. This article aims to explore the application of Biblical leadership in the context of congregation growth at the church. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving data collection through interviews and observations. The collected data will be analyzed using a thematic approach to identify patterns, categories, and relationships within the data. The analysis steps include critically reviewing literature, grouping information based on key themes such as the application of Biblical teachings, congregation growth, and interpreting findings based on supporting theories. The primary focus of this research is on how Biblical leadership values, such as service, humility, and the encouragement for spiritual growth, are applied by church leaders in guiding the congregation toward spiritual maturity. The research findings show that leadership based on Biblical teachings not only impacts the personal spirituality of leaders but also creates an environment that supports collective congregation growth. Leaders at GESBA The Newlife Jakarta apply the principles of love, deep teachings, and service with a caring heart, which has proven to accelerate faith growth and congregation engagement in church activities. This article also identifies the challenges faced in implementing Biblical leadership in the modern era and how church leaders are addressing them. It is hoped that the findings of this study can provide insights for other churches in developing healthy and effective leadership models according to Biblical teachings, and serve as an inspiration for more qualitative congregation growth in the future.

Abstract

Marginalised communities in Manado often face multifaceted challenges—economic, social, cultural, and spiritual—that restrict their access to basic rights and hinder personal development. Counselling conversations are introduced as a holistic intervention, addressing not only material needs but also emotional and spiritual dimensions. This approach aims to enhance critical awareness, build individual resilience, and foster spaces for healing and empowerment. Combining participatory and contextual methods, it involves the community actively in the counselling process while adapting interventions to their specific realities. Techniques include in-depth interviews, group discussions, and collaborative reflection to identify issues and co-create solutions. Findings show marked improvements in participants’ self-confidence, critical thinking, and capacity to initiate social change. Enhanced interpersonal relationships and a renewed sense of meaning in life further support their journey out of marginalisation. Counselling thus emerges as both a spiritual support mechanism and a transformative tool for inclusive community empowerment.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi digital membuka peluang baru dalam metode pembelajaran, termasuk dalam memperdalam pemahaman iman anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran storytelling digital berbasis Alkitab dalam membantu anak usia 6-11 tahun memahami nilai-nilai iman. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur sebagai metode pengumpulan data, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa storytelling digital mampu meningkatkan minat, daya ingat, dan pemahaman anak terhadap ajaran Kristen berkat penyajian yang bersifat visual, audio, dan interaktif. Keberhasilannya didukung oleh faktor seperti kreativitas konten, keterlibatan orang tua atau guru, serta kemudahan akses teknologi. Namun, terdapat tantangan seperti potensi gangguan dari perangkat digital serta perlunya penyesuaian bagi anak yang memiliki keterbatasan teknologi. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa storytelling digital berbasis Alkitab dapat menjadi sarana edukatif yang efektif bagi anak-anak, asalkan disertai pendampingan serta desain konten yang selaras dengan perkembangan kognitif mereka. Advances in digital technology open up new opportunities in learning methods, including in deepening children's understanding of faith. This study aims to explore the role of Bible-based digital storytelling in helping children aged 6-11 years understand the values of faith. Using a qualitative approach with literature studies as a method of data collection, this study found that digital storytelling can increase children's interest, memory, and understanding of Christian teachings thanks to visual, audio, and interactive presentations. Its success is supported by factors such as content creativity, parental or teacher involvement, and ease of access to technology. However, there are challenges such as potential interference from digital devices and the need for adjustments for children with technological limitations. The conclusion of this study confirms that Bible-based digital storytelling can be an effective educational tool for children, as long as it is accompanied by guidance and content design that is in line with their cognitive development.

Abstract

Cultural transformation in today's global society brings both challenges and opportunities for the implementation of contextual mission, especially in the digital era. Cultural contexts influenced by globalization and technological advances demand missiological strategies that are able to adapt to the changing dynamics of society. Digitalization creates new spaces for cross-cultural interaction, but also introduces complexities such as changing cultural identities, weakening traditional values, and increasing secularism. This research aims to analyze the main challenges facing contextual missions in the digital age, including the technology gap, the diversity of cultural interpretations, and the need for more inclusive dialogue. It also highlights opportunities such as increased access to communication, the potential of global networks, and the formation of digital communities that support spiritual and social transformation. This research utilizes a qualitative-descriptive approach with a literature study data collection method that contributes to the development of missiology discourse by offering a conceptual framework for contextually relevant missions in the digital age. The research results provide new insights for practitioners and academics in responding to contextual needs through a more creative, inclusive, and technology-based approach. With this transformation of understanding, contextual mission can play a more effective role in building cross-cultural relationships, supporting social change, and creating spiritual significance.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper aims to examine the meaning of John's vision on the Island of Patmos as described in Revelation 1:11-19, using a hermeneutic approach within the theoretical framework of the sociology of knowledge. The methodological approach used is qualitative, exploratory, and interpretative-hermeneutic, integrating a textual reading of the Bible with an analysis of the historical and social context of the time. The findings of this study indicate that John's vision, which depicts Christ in divine glory and authority, can be understood as a symbol of transcendent power that provides comfort, hope, and spiritual legitimacy for a marginalized community. Within the framework of the sociology of knowledge, this text reflects social and theological constructions closely related to power dynamics, the formation of community identity, and forms of symbolic resistance to hegemonic cultural domination. Thus, John's vision can be interpreted as a theological narrative rich in social meaning, uniting spiritual and contextual aspects to strengthen the faith and collective identity of early Christians. Abstrak: Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna penglihatan yang dialami oleh Yohanes di Pulau Patmos sebagaimana tercantum dalam Wahyu 1:11–19, dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik dalam kerangka teori sosiologi pengetahuan. Pendekatan metodologis yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif eksploratif dan interpretatif-hermeneutik, yang mengintegrasikan pembacaan tekstual Alkitab dengan analisis terhadap konteks historis dan sosial pada masa itu. Temuan dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa penglihatan Yohanes yang menampilkan Kristus dalam kemuliaan dan otoritas ilahi dapat dipahami sebagai simbol kekuatan transenden yang memberi penghiburan, harapan, serta legitimasi spiritual bagi komunitas yang mengalami marginalisasi. Dalam kerangka sosiologi pengetahuan, teks ini mencerminkan konstruksi sosial dan teologis yang erat kaitannya dengan dinamika kuasa, pembentukan identitas komunitas, dan bentuk resistensi simbolik terhadap dominasi budaya yang hegemonik. Dengan demikian, penglihatan Yohanes dapat ditafsirkan sebagai narasi teologis yang kaya makna sosial, yang menyatukan aspek spiritual dan kontekstual demi memperkokoh iman dan identitas kolektif umat Kristen mula-mula.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana imajinasi teologis tentang "tanah baru" dapat memberi makna baru atas kerinduan manusia dalam era digital yang sarat dislokasi dan fragmentasi identitas. Bertolak dari narasi biblika mengenai Tanah Perjanjian serta pengharapan eskatologis akan langit dan bumi baru, penelitian ini menganalisis dinamika eksistensial manusia modern yang hidup di tengah kompleksitas ruang digital. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan teologi naratif dan hermeneutik kontekstual, penelitian ini menggabungkan tafsir teologis atas teks Kitab Suci dengan refleksi kontemporer tentang cyberspace sebagai lanskap spiritual tempat manusia mengekspresikan pencarian akan makna, relasi, dan keutuhan. Melalui kerangka Imago Dei dan karya Roh Kudus yang memperbarui ciptaan, bahwa ditemukan ruang cyberspace bukan sekadar medium teknologis, melainkan medan spiritual yang menuntut penataan kembali imajinasi iman. Dengan demikian, kerinduan akan “tanah baru” dalam konteks ini dipahami tidak lagi bersifat geografis belaka, tetapi transenden dan relasional, mengarahkan manusia pada persekutuan yang diperbarui dengan Allah, sesama, dan ciptaan. dalam horizon digital yang baru.
