Abstract

This study aims to describe self-efficacy during learning during the Covid-19 pandemic based on gender. Using a non-experimental design with a quantitative descriptive approach. Collecting data using 30 statement questionnaires based on every aspect needed to achieve self-efficacy conditions, namely magnitude, generality, and strength. Subjects amounted to 616 respondents, consisting of students and students from various schools and universities, obtained by random sampling technique. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics, which do not aim to draw conclusions about the entire population but rather help understand the details of the sample. The results of the study concluded that, overall, the average self-efficacy of the respondents was in the moderate category. The magnitude aspect is in the medium category and the other is high. The medium category on the magnitude shows the need for attention to the level of task difficulty, meaning that it describes students and students who will be able to do enough to do tasks that are considered feasible and avoid situations and behaviors that are beyond their capabilities. High category on generality, meaning that students’ beliefs and students to complete the given task can take place in appropriate and real situations and psychology. The high category on strength means that students and students have persistent expectations in trying to complete assignments well, even though they do not have experience. Based on gender, it was found that female and male students had self-efficacy, which tended to be the same in dealing with the dynamics of learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

In learning mathematics, students often have difficulties, many concepts are understood incorrectly, the use of logic and formulas in solving problems is an obstacle for students so that students still consider mathematics as a difficult science. On the basis of the importance of mathematical comprehension ability to be possessed by students in mathematics learning, a quantum learning model is chosen. This study aims to examine the improvement of mathematical comprehension ability of students who get learning with a quantum learning model and students who get ordinary learning; to examine how students behave after learning with the quantum learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study is all students of class VIII, one of the private junior high schools in Cianjur by choosing two classes as research subjects through the purposive sampling method, namely class VIII D as an experimental class and class VIII E as a control class. The research data was obtained through the results of providing mathematical comprehension ability tests (pretest and posttest). Data analysis improved mathematical understanding using the T-test (independent sample-test) because the data was normally distributed. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the improvement of mathematical comprehension ability of students who get learning using the quantum learning model is better than students who get ordinary learning

Abstract

The main task of the LPTK is to produce high quality teachers. Those who will work in various educational units are prepared to be able to master the competence of teachers. In the teaching and learning process, the teacher plays a role as a director as well as an actor and is a very dominant factor in determining the success of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Teachers' teaching skills and students' learning motivation are strongly correlated with partial or simultaneous learning outcomes. The Mathematics Education study program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Suryakancana University has the responsibility to produce skilled teachers in teaching in order to improve student learning outcomes. To be able to carry out these responsibilities through an integrated debriefing process in various courses, initial data is needed. The data contains an overview of the teaching skills of prospective mathematics teachers. Through this data, it can then be considered what steps must be taken to improve it as well as which skills must be improved again. Based on the results of the analysis obtained data that the teaching skills of prospective mathematics teachers in micro learning courses are in good criteria. However, improvements are needed in improving students' skills in managing classes

Abstract

To find out students' mathematical creative thinking abilities, this can be done by giving students open-ended problems. The aim of this research is to describe students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in solving open-ended problems when viewed from their self-concept. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The subject selection technique used in this research was purposive sampling. The subjects of this research consisted of one student with a high self-concept category, one student with a medium self-concept category, and one student with a low self-concept. Data collection methods in this research include questionnaire methods and tests. And the data analysis techniques used include: analysis of mathematical self-concept questionnaires, analysis of open-ended mathematics questions. The research results show that students with a high self-concept category can fulfill all aspects of creative thinking abilities, including fluency, flexibility and originality, so that their mathematical creative thinking abilities are also high. In contrast to students with moderate self-concept, it was found that their creative thinking abilities were low and students with low self-concept actually had moderate mathematical creative thinking abilities. So it can be concluded that based on this research, it shows that students' self-concept does not always describe students' mathematical creative thinking abilities in solving open-ended problems.
