Abstract

The Influence of The Friendship Environment On The Emotional Development Of Youth. The method used in this study is a qualitative research that is library research, using journals, and articles related to the influence of the friendship environment on the emotional development of adolescents. Emotions in each individual have a different emotional response. We can see this from how individuals express their emotional feelings, for example, when they feel sad, there are teenagers who show their sadness by crying bitterly, there are also those who only express sad emotions by being silent, gloomy, and making them not want to do anything. Based on the results of reviewing and analyzing journals related to the title, it can be concluded that the influence of the friendship environment on the emotional development of adolescents is very influential because during adolescence. Therefore, the influence of friendship will have a greater impact on the individual than the influence that comes from the family environment. So it is necessary to have an individual stand and also be good at choosing healthy friendships so that they can support each other's emotional development efficiently and continuously. In this journal, which is sourced from several journals that have been reviewed, there are still many shortcomings in each discussion, especially in the minimizing section so that there are no obstacles to the emotional development of adolescents themselves. Therefore, for further researchers who are interested in raising the theme of exuberance, it is hoped that this section will be more emphasized.

Abstract

The rapid evolution of digital media has introduced various educational tools, among which educational podcasts have gained popularity. Podcasts offer an innovative and flexible method for students to engage with content outside traditional classroom settings. Despite their potential, there is limited empirical research on the effectiveness of educational podcasts in enhancing students’ understanding of concepts. This study aims to evaluate the impact of educational podcasts on students’ comprehension of academic concepts. Specifically, it investigates whether regular podcast exposure improves students’ conceptual understanding compared to traditional instructional methods. A quasi-experimental design involving 120 students from various educational levels was employed. Participants were divided into two groups: the experimental group, which used educational podcasts as supplementary material, and the control group, which continued with conventional teaching methods. Pre-tests and post-tests were administered to assess conceptual understanding before and after the intervention. Data analysis was conducted using quantitative methods, including t-tests and ANOVA. The results indicated a significant improvement in the experimental group’s conceptual understanding compared to the control group. The average score increase for the experimental group was 20% higher than that of the control group, suggesting that educational podcasts positively affect learning outcomes. Abstract

Mobile health applications are increasingly being used as a tool to manage mental health conditions, particularly depression. These apps provide accessible and scalable interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) exercises and mood tracking, allowing users to engage in self-guided treatment. However, the effectiveness of such apps in reducing depression symptoms, particularly over extended periods, remains under-researched. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a mental health mobile app in reducing depression symptoms over a 12-week period. The primary goal was to determine if consistent use of the app leads to significant improvements in mental health compared to traditional in-person therapy. A randomized controlled trial (RCT) was conducted with 200 participants diagnosed with mild to moderate depression. Participants were randomly assigned to two groups: the intervention group used the mobile app, and the control group received standard in-person therapy. Depression symptoms were assessed at baseline, 6 weeks, and 12 weeks using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Engagement with the app, such as logins and completed CBT exercises, was also tracked for the intervention group. The intervention group showed a 35% reduction in PHQ-9 scores by the 12-week mark, while the control group exhibited a 20% reduction. Higher app engagement correlated with greater symptom reduction. The mobile app proved particularly effective in reducing depression symptoms among those who consistently used its features. The mental health mobile app was effective in significantly reducing depression symptoms, especially with regular use. These findings support the use of mobile apps as a complementary or alternative treatment to traditional therapy for managing depression.
