Abstract

Adolescence is a period when individuals begin to enter a wider social environment with the aim of searching for and forming their own identities. But not infrequently, individuals have not been able to adapt to the changing situations they face, giving rise to various obstacles. In individual development, one of the problems that is often faced is the behavior of withdrawing or being isolated from the social environment, also known as social withdrawal. This behavior is influenced by many factors, one of which is the self-concept that forms the basis of a person's behavior. This study aimed to describe self-concept in relation to student withdrawal. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive type of case study. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and document study. One participant was identified as experiencing social withdrawal behavior - a teenager in grade X at Senior High School in Jambi City. Based on the research results, it is known that social self-concept influences how a person has social relationships. The subject's negative self-concept, such as being disturbing, unnecessary, and unpleasant, causes students to isolate themselves from their social environment and causes several symptoms, such as communication anxiety.

Abstract

Teenagers are figures who are in a state of high curiosity and are in the phase of searching for their identity. Parents have an important role in how teenagers find their identity and independence. The aim of this literature insight is to understand parenting models to support adolescent identity formation. The results of the literature view show that the parental model that optimizes teenagers' identity is authoritative parenting, patient parenting, parents are considered more democratic in communicating, giving teenagers independence in thinking and acting and investing in things that include their lives and those of the younger generation. as a family education center. The method used in writing this article is Review literature by collecting several journals as sources. The formation of identity and independence is not an individual process but a joint and interdependent process in which adolescents and parents take part. Different parenting styles have different roles in forming a teenager's identity.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with guidance and counseling teachers at SMA ADHYAKSA 1 Jambi, researchers found that the problem at this school was the low speaking skills of students, where students did not have the confidence and courage to speak when making presentations in front of the class they did not master the material. during the learning process. The research aimed to improve students' speaking skills in front of the class using problem-solving techniques through group tutoring services at SMA ADHYAKSA 1 Jambi. The research method used is that the researcher uses service action research. This research is planned to be carried out in three cycles, and in one cycle there are two meetings. When carrying out service actions, researchers prepare cameras, questionnaires, observation sheets, and service implementation plans. When providing action services using problem-solving techniques through group guidance services, students go through four stages, namely planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection. At the action stage the researcher explains the material and then conducts questions and answers where the questions are about solving a problem then students allowed to speak to answer the questions given so that problem solving techniques are applied in group guidance.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kecemasan public speaking siswa sebelum dan setelah di berikan pendekatan rational emotive behavioural therapy (REBT), serta gambaran umum memberikan pendekatan REBT dalam menurunkan kecemasan public speaking siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode quasy exsperiment . Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini menggunakan angket pre-test, post-tes dan dokumentasi.  Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan analisis nonparametric yaitu uji wilcoxon.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa sebelum diberikan pendekatam REBT diperoleh hasil rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 32,47 tergolong kategori “Tinggi”. Sedangkan setelah diberikan REBT diperoleh hasil rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 48,08 tergolong pada kategori “Sedang”. Dari hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukan Signifikasi (2-tailed) yaitu 0.000 < 0.05 (nilai ), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat penurunan tingkat kecemasan public speaking siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan tidak terdapat penurunan tingkat kecemasan public speaking siswa  pada kelas kontrol. REBT dapat menurunkan kecemasan public speaking siswa. Teknik ini dapat digunakan oleh guru dalam mengurangi kecemasan public speaking siswa. Penelitian ini memperkuat public speaking siswa dengan teknik REBT yang mampu menurunkan kecemasan saat berbicara didepan umum.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan pola asuh mengabaikan dengan disiplin siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi dengan jumlah populasi 50 diperoleh sampel 50 responden, penarikan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik sensus atau sampling total untuk pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah menggunakan rumus product moment dengan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistic 26. Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan tingkat persentase pola asuh mengabaikan sebesar 71% kategori tinggi dan persentase tingkat disiplin siswa sebesar 77% katergori tinggi. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat korelasi yang jelas tetapi sedang antara pola asuh mengabaikan dengan tingkat disiplin siswa, dimana nilai r hitung 0,419 dengan demikian dapat di katakan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara pola asuh mengabaikan dengan tingkat disiplin siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Kota Jambi.Kata Kunci: Pola Asuh Mengabaikan, Tingkat Disiplin Siswa

Abstract

The rapid development of technology and social media has positive and negative impacts on children. In facing these challenges, parents have an important role in supervising and guiding children to use social media safely. This study aims to analyze the role of parents in Mudung Laut Village in utilizing the Google Family application as a digital supervision tool to improve children's safety in playing social media. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with interview and observation methods of a number of parents who use the Google Family application. The results of the study show that most parents in Mudung Laut Village have started using this application to limit gadget usage time, monitor children's online activities, and filter content that can be accessed. However, there are still several obstacles faced, such as the lack of digital literacy among parents and children's resistance to digital supervision which is considered to limit their freedom. This study concludes that the use of Google Family can be an effective solution in improving children's safety when playing social media, as long as it is supported by technology education for parents and open and persuasive communication patterns between parents and children.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to see whether there is an influence of bullying behavior on students' interest in learning at SMP N 7 Muaro Jambi. This type of research is quantitative research using the ex post facto method. The population in this study were students in grades VIII A - VIII G. The sample in this study was students who had been victims of bullying and had low interest in learning, consisting of grades VIII A to VIII G, totaling 41 students. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire and the measurement scale used in this research is the Likert scale. Furthermore, in the statistical assumption test, there are two conditions that must be fulfilled, namely the data normality test and the data linearity test, and this research uses a simple regression analysis technique to measure the influence of bullying behavior (X) on variable learning interest (Y) with the help of SPSS version 23 . The results of this study show that the determination is at 0.146 or 14.6%. The criteria for interpreting the influence of determination of 0.146 or 14.6% are in the low but certain category (0.05 – 0.16), so this research shows that there is a significant influence between the bullying variable (X) on interest in learning (Y).

Abstract

This research aims to describe what internal and external factors cause academic procrastination among students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample in this research is class VIII students for the 2023/2024 academic year with a total sample of 88 students. The sampling technique uses total sampling technique. The data collection tool used was a questionnaire containing 21 statement items, then the results obtained were analyzed using the percentage formula formula C. The results of the analysis obtained proved that internal and external factors were recognized as causes of academic procrastination of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 22 Jambi City. Internal factors within students are of medium quality with a percentage of 50.5% and external factors are of good quality with a percentage of 64%.
