Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh nilai karakter tanggung jawab anak usia dini belum berkembang sesuai indikator. Hal ini dikarenakan metode yang digunakan guru dalam membangun karakter tanggung jawab anak usia dini hanya menggunakan metode memberi nasehat saja. Kendala lain yaitu tidak adanya media pembelajaran untuk menstimulasi karakter tanggung jawab anak baik yang berupa visual dan audiovisual. Media pembelajaran merupakan suatu metode, peralatan ataupun tekhnik yang digunakan dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada peserta didik. Untuk mengembangkan karakter tanggung jawab anak maka dilakukan penerapan film animasi Nussa dan Rara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif pre-eksperimen dengan jenis one group pretest-postest design. Tekhnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu 15 siswa kelas A. Tekhnik analisis data yaitu uji parametrik paired sample t test karena uji prasyarat sampel dan instrumen telah terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai signifikansi 2 tailed lebih kecil dari 0,05 serta nilai t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan film animasi Nussa dana Rara terhadap karakter tanggung jawab anak usia dini di TK Muslimat NU 121 Bangsalsari Jember

Abstract

This study aims to design specialized instructional media for college students with hearing and visual impairments, supporting their unique learning needs. This study used a qualitative single-case study approach to thoroughly investigate the experiences of deaf and blind college students, with a focus on instructional modules and videos. The research subject is college students with hearing and visual impairments, specifically examining their higher education experiences and identifying specific requirements for effective learning. This research instrument uses surveys, interviews, and analysis of instructional modules and videos to gather comprehensive data on the challenges and needs of deaf and blind college students. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns, themes, and insights related to the higher education experiences of students with hearing and visual impairments. The results of this study indicate that the design and implementation of specialized instructional media with tailored features significantly contribute to addressing the unique challenges faced by deaf and blind college students. This approach fosters inclusivity and equity, providing valuable insights for creating more effective and accessible online learning materials in higher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan proses sains dengan alat pratikum pengujian viskositas zat cair (oli) dengan metode induksi elektromagnetik berbantuan audancity. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskripsi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMKN 3 Kota Bima. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dalam pembelajaran pratikum viskositas zat cair menggunakan metode induksi elektromagnetik berbantuan audancity diperoleh keterampilan proses sains yang muncul pada indikator kemampuan mengamati (observasi), mengkomunikasikan, menafsirkan, mengajukan pertanyaan. Sedangkan kemampuan mengolongkan dan meramalkan tergolong pada tidak muncul dengan presentase sangat rendah.

Abstract

Self-confidence is one of the emotional intelligence that needs to be developed in early childhood. This study aims to improve early childhood self-confidence through educational snakes and ladders games at SPS Lemuru 26 Mojosari, Jember. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a population of 10 students aged 4-5 years. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. This research involved one cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages, with the target of increasing self-confidence at least 76% of children reaching the “very good” category. The results showed that children's belief in their own abilities and positive attitudes were at 85% (very good), a sense of optimism obtained 75% (good), judging objectively obtained 87.5% (very good), responsibility for the actions taken was at 85% (very good), and the ability to think critically obtained 82.5% and was classified in the category (very good). Thus, the educational snakes and ladders game proved effective in increasing the self-confidence of early childhood.

Abstract

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Model Pendidikan Karakter di TK Muslimat Nu Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang. Pada pandangan teori terdapat 6 (enam) jenis model pendidikan karakter yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah yaitu Model Pembiasaan, Model Keteladanan, Model Pembinaan Disiplin Siswa, Model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), Model Bermain Peran, dan Model Pembelajaran Partisipatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif.Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa TK Muslimat Nu Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 orang siswa dari seluruh kelas paralel. Data yang diperoleh, dikumpulkan menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa model pendidikan karakter pada pandangan teori yang mendominasi di TK Muslimat NU Sumbersuko 01 Lumajang yaitu model keteladanan, mencapai 99,07 %. Pada model ini, seluruh pendidik serta tenaga pendidik dan orang tua mampu memberikan suri tauladan yang baik antara pendidikan di sekolah dan di rumah serta lingkungan. Selain itu, dari 18 karakter nasional juga telah ter substansi di dalam pendidikan karakter di sekolah ini, diantaranya religius, jujur, toleransi, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, demokratis, rasa ingin tahu, semangat kebangsaan, cinta tanah air, menghargai prestasi, bersahabat/ komunikatif, cinta damai, gemar membaca, peduli lingkungan, peduli sosial, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning medium using a Science Inquiry approach to enhance science literacy among early childhood learners. The study follows the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects included early childhood students and teachers from two preschools in Jember, Indonesia. Research instruments involved observations, questionnaires, and interviews to assess children's understanding, engagement, and motivation, as well as teacher satisfaction and ease of use. Data analysis techniques included both formative and summative evaluations: formative evaluation examined each stage of the ADDIE model, while summative evaluation assessed the AR medium's effectiveness in enhancing science literacy and overall learning experience. Trial results show that the use of AR significantly improves children's understanding of scientific concepts, active engagement, and motivation in learning science. Additionally, both children and teachers rated the AR media as easy to use, with high levels of satisfaction reported by teachers, underscoring the medium’s accessibility and impact. Summative evaluations reveal that the AR medium positively impacts science literacy, with an overall rating of "excellent." Consequently, AR-based media with a Science Inquiry approach shows great promise as an innovative solution for improving science literacy among young children in Indonesia.

Abstract

At the age of 4-5 years, children are at a critical phase where they begin to develop basic language skills. Good language skills not only contribute to effective communication, but also support children's cognitive and social-emotional development. Therefore, interesting and innovative learning media is needed to support the development of children's language intelligence. Language is interpreted as a form of communication, whether carried out in writing, signs or orally, which is based on a method consisting of a number of symbols (Harding-Esch & Riley, 2003). One of a number of types of learning media that has the potential to increase language intelligence is the big scrapbook. This media can present various information in a creative and interactive way, allowing children to play an active role during the learning process. Big scrapbooks can combine pictures, text and fun activities, so that children are more motivated to learn and communicate (Ningrum & Widodo, 2018).

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to compare the effect of the STEAM method with conventional methods in supporting the development of logical, critical, and creative thinking in children aged 5-6 years. The background of this study is based on the need for a learning approach that can develop high-level thinking skills from an early age, considering that conventional methods are deemed inadequate to support this development. Methodology: The method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. The research sample consisted of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten, divided into two groups: the group using the STEAM method and the group using conventional learning methods. Data collection was conducted through tests assessing logical, critical, and creative thinking abilities before and after treatment. Main Findings: The study's results showed that the application of the STEAM method significantly improved the logical, critical, and creative thinking skills in children aged 5-6 years compared to conventional learning methods. The group using the STEAM method experienced a higher increase in scores on the three aspects of thinking. Novelty/Originality of this study: The discussion in this study confirms that integrating the STEAM method into kindergarten learning can be a practical innovation for developing high-level thinking skills in early childhood. This study implies that educators and policymakers should consider the broader application of the STEAM method in early childhood education as a means to prepare a generation that can think logically, critically, and creatively from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development and effectiveness of English learning media for early childhood through the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The background of the research lies in the increasing demand for innovative and interactive learning tools that can support vocabulary acquisition and pronunciation practice in young learners. Employing the ADDIE instructional design model, the research followed five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed media incorporated 3D AR visuals and an AI-powered speech recognition system for real-time pronunciation feedback. Data were collected through expert validation, pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as observation and teacher interviews. Results showed a significant improvement in children's vocabulary mastery and speaking confidence, with post-test scores increasing by over 38%. Furthermore, students exhibited high engagement and autonomy during learning sessions. The integration of AR and AI proved to be both pedagogically effective and developmentally appropriate. In conclusion, this research confirms that AR and AI-based media are valuable tools for enhancing English learning among young children, offering interactive, personalized, and immersive learning experiences that support 21st-century educational goals

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian guna menganalisa peran guru dalam membentuk karakter anak, khususnya dalam mengatasi penggunaan kata-kata kasar di TK Anak Sholeh. Fokus utama penelitian ini meliputi tiga permasalahan, yaitu: bagaimana peran guru dalam pembentukan karakter anak, faktor yang menyebabkan anak menggunakan kata-kata kasar, serta strategi guru sebagai solusi perilaku tersebut dalam lingkungan sekolah. Secara umum, penelitian bertujuan menganalisa kontribusi guru dalam membentuk kepribadian siswa, dan penggunaan bahasa kasar. Secara khusus, tujuannya untuk membuktikan peran guru dalam pembentukan karakter anak, mengidentifikasi faktor yang menyebabkan anak menggunakan kata-kata kasar di TK Anak Sholeh, serta menggali strategi guru dalam menangani perilaku tersebut. Pendekatan kualitatif bermetode studi kasus digunakan dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi terhadap anak dan wawancara mendalam untuk mendapatkan gambaran komprehensif terkait kontribusi guru dalam pengembangan karakter anak usia dini. Luaran penelitian yaitu tersusunnya rekomendasi praktis bagi guru khususnya dan bagi orang tua dalam menangani penggunaan bahasa kasar pada anak usia dini, serta kontribusi teoritis terhadap pendekatan pedagogis berbasis karakter, yang dapat memperkuat pendidikan moral di tingkat PAUD.
