Abstract

In learning activities that are oriented to the needs and abilities of students, it is necessary to provide a variety of learning situations that are adequate for the material which is presented and this should be tailored to the abilities and characteristics of students. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of conceptualized acquisition with open ended question-assisted model in improving critical thinking ability of students. The research design is the control group of pre-test post-test to the students of mathematics education program at Muhammadiyah University in North Sumatra. Based on the results of data analysis, it is found that the critical thinking ability of students who are taught with Conceptualized Acquisition with Open Ended Question-Assisted Model is better than the critical thinking ability of students who are taught with conventional learning model on lectures of Algebra Structure II and Conceptualized Acquisition with Open Ended Question-Assisted Model are effective in improving the critical thinking ability of students in the lecture of Algebra Structure II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar Seminar pendidikan Matematika  Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (developmental research) menggunakan tahapan perencanaan, perancangan dan  pengembangan yang diadopsi dari model pengembangan Thiagarajan dan mahasiswa semester VI pendidikan matematika berjumlah 32 orang  sebagai subyek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar validasi yang diisi oleh ahli bidang pendidikan matematika, lembar penilaian kepraktisan mahasiswa, dan tes hasil belajar . Kualitas modul yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, aspek kepraktisan dan aspek keefektifan. Hasil uji kevalidan dari para ahli yang terdiri dari ahli materi, ahli media dan ahli bahasa diperoleh bahwa bahan ajar Seminar pendidikan Matematika  termasuk pada kriteria kelayakan sangat valid. Uji kepraktisan oleh mahasiswa pengguna bahan ajar diperoleh bahwa bahan ajar Seminar pendidikan Matematika  termasuk dalam kriteria, praktis. Adapun uji efektivitas bahan ajar Seminar pendidikan sesuai indikator yang sudah ditentukan  termasuk kategori baik.  Berdasarkan ketiga hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar Seminar pendidikan Matematika  memenuhi ketiga kriteria tersebut, yaitu: sangat valid, praktis, dan efektif.This study aims to develop teaching materials for Mathematics education seminars. The research method used developmental research adopted from the Thiagarajan using the planning, design and development stages and sixth semester 32 students of mathematics education as research subjects. The research instruments consisted of validation sheets, student practicality assessment sheets, and tests. The quality of the modules developed was viewed   the validity, practicality and effectiveness aspects. The validity criteria  base of  expert validity results that consisted of  material experts, media experts and linguists experts stated  that the Mathematics education seminar teaching materials was  very valid. The practical criteria base of practicality test by students using teaching materials stated that teaching materials for Mathematics education seminars were practical.  for the effectiveness test of teaching materials according to the indicators that have been determined included in the good category. Based of the trial  result  can be concluded that the teaching materials of  Mathematics education seminars qualified  on  criteria, namely: very valid, practical, and effective

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between Modulo Learning and the traditional game of bekles ball. The Bekles Ball Game is a traditional game which is a cultural heritage that is increasingly being played by today's generation of children. In order to keep the Bekles Ball Game maintained and not forgotten, there is one way that can be done, namely by applying it to the learning in the classroom so that this is the aim of this research. The Bekles Ball game is in fact related to Modulo Learning. This study used qualitative research with 2 informants from Class X-TKJ at SMK Nusantara Lubuk Pakam. The data collected is from the results of observations, interviews and in the form of documentation. In this study, the concept of division was used in Modulo 10 and Modulo 8. Based on this research, it can be seen that there is an ethnomathematics value in the bekles ball game which refers to learning the concepts of Modulo 10 and Modulo 8. It can be concluded that there are many ethnomathematics changes that we can do that can be used to learning media as an exploration of ethnomathematics.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan sebuah cabang pengetahuan yang memiliki struktur dan sistematika keilmuan yang unik. Keilmuan matematika akan memiliki kesinambungan antara satu dengan yang lainnya bahkan hingga memiliki koneksi antar kajiannya. Artikel ini merupakan sebuah kajian pustaka terkait himpunan dan konektivitas atau hubungannya dengan aljabar abstrak dalam matematika. Untuk itu penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui; (1) himpunan matematika, , (2) aljabar abstrak, dan (3) konektivitas himpunan dengan aljabar abstrak dalam matematika. Data dalam kajian yang menyusun artikel ini berjenis data sekunder, dengan metode pengumpulan data studi pustaka dan metode untuk pengajiannya menggunakan studi literatur. Perolehan data yang didapat dikompulasi, dianalisis, dan disimpulkan sehingga mendapatkan kesimpulan mengenai konektivitas himpunan dengan aljabar abstrak dalam matematika. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa, terdapat koneksi antara belajar himpunan matematika dengan kajian aljabar abstrak.

Abstract

Genetics is a branch of biology that scientifically studies heredity (heredity). One of the inherited genetic identities is blood type. The most commonly used blood group systems are the ABO and Rhesus blood group systems. This blood group inheritance can be analyzed using any antigen from the blood group system. The antigei are then used as the basis for the vector space affecting the field. Binary operations were defined for each blood group system and analyzed using gamete and zygotic algebra. We derive equations that are used as axioms to form the algebraic structure of any blood group system. After the ABO blood group and Rhesus algebra were determined, the ABO binary function was determined and supplemented with the Rhesus blood group system (ABOi Rh). This binomial operation is used to derive equations that act as axioms to form the algebraic structure of the ABO Rh blood group system.

Abstract

One of them uses matrix theory and Gauss-Jordan ielimination in iinput-output ianalysis ito studyi the inter-sectoral iinterconnectedness iof the economy. This study describes the input-output ianalysis. This isi thei implementationi ofi matrixi materiali wherei each sector usesi as inputi the output produced by the output of other sectors, on the other hand the output produced is also the input of other sectors. This research is a qualitative research (library research) with a literary approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by reviewing various books, journals, articles, information or sources deemed appropriate and relevant to the research. Content analysis is used as a data analysis technique whose purpose is to maintain research accuracy and prevent errors in data sources. This is followed by a literature review and a literature review. The results of this study are the transaction matrix, value added ratio of economic activity, technological input-output coefficient matrix, interdependence coefficient matrix and finali demandi usingi the iGauss-Jordani eliminationi method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan keterampilan koneksi matematis melalui penerapan teori belajar Ausubel pada siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dalam bentuk dua siklus. Subyek penelitian adalah kelas XI yang berjumlah 31 orang yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 17 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar Matematika aspek kemampuan keterampilan koneksi matematis siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan melalui penerapan teori pembelajaran bermakna Ausubel, pemberian tindakan selama dua siklus yang rata-rata dicapai pada siklus I sebesar 76,56% yang bila dikategorikan dalam kategori sedang, dan pada siklus II yaitu 82,4% yang bila dikategorikan dalam kategori tinggi. Artinya ada peningkatan hasil belajar Matematika pada keterampilan koneksi matematis dengan peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yaitu 76,56 pada siklus I, meningkat menjadi 82,4 pada siklus II setelah menerapkan Teori Pembelajaran Bermakna Ausubel. Demikian pula partisipasi atau keaktifan siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran keterampilan koneksi matematis melalui penerapan pembelajaran bermakna Ausubel meningkat pada siklus II dibandingkan siklus I. This study aims to improve the ability of mathematical connection skills through the application of Ausubel learning theory to class IX students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan. This research is a class action research in the form of two cycles. The research subjects were class XI, which consisted of 31 people consisting of 14 male students and 17 female students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation which were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there was an increase in Mathematics learning outcomes in the aspect of the ability of mathematical connection skills of class IX students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Medan through the application of Ausubel meaningful learning theory, giving action for two cycles the average achieved in cycle I was 76.56% which when categorized was in the medium category, and in cycle II that is 82.4% which when categorized is in the high category. This means that there is an increase in Mathematics learning outcomes in mathematical connection skills with an increase in the average student learning outcomes, namely 76.56 in cycle I, increasing to 82.4 in cycle II after applying Ausubel's Meaningful Learning Theory. Likewise, the participation or activeness of students in learning activities of Mathematical connection skills through the application of Ausubel meaningful learning increased in the second cycle compared to the first cycle.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menggunakan teori Gagne dapat dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan sepenuhnya semua sumber informasi sebagai sumber pelajaran; memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa tentang keluasan dan keragaman sumber informasi yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pembelajaran; mampu menggantikan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran tradisional dengan pembelajaran matematika aktif; dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika; memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk belajar matematika sesuai dengan kecepatan dan kemampuannya sendiri. Berbagai lingkungan ini akan menentukan apa yang akan dipelajari seseorang dan akan menentukan akan menjadi apa dia nantinya. Bagi Gagne, belajar tidak dapat didefinisikan dengan mudah karena belajar itu kompleks. Dalam pernyataan tersebut dinyatakan bahwa hasil belajar akan mengakibatkan perubahan pada diri seseorang berupa perubahan kemampuan, perubahan sikap, perubahan minat atau nilai pada diri seseorang. Perubahan ini bersifat permanen meskipun hanya sementara. Kedewasaan, menurut Gagne, bukanlah belajar karena perubahan tingkah laku yang terjadi merupakan hasil dari pertumbuhan struktur dan diri manusia itu sendiri. Learning using Gagne's theory can be done by making full use of all sources of information as a source for lessons; giving students an understanding of the breadth and variety of sources of information that can be utilized for learning; able to replace student activities in traditional learning with active mathematics learning; can increase motivation to learn mathematics; provide opportunities for students to learn mathematics at their own pace and ability. These various environments will determine what a person will learn and will determine what he will become later. For Gagne, learning cannot be defined easily because learning is complex. In this statement, it is stated that learning outcomes will result in changes in a person in the form of changes in abilities, changes in attitudes, changes in interests or values in a person. These changes are permanent even if only temporarily. Maturity, according to Gagne, is not learning because changes in behavior that occur result from the growth of the structure and the human self itself.

One prominent application of trigonometry is in determining the height of an object. This article discusses the application of trigonometry in measuring object heights using techniques like theodolites, laser rangefinders, and drones. Trigonometry enables precise measurements by utilizing elevation angles and distances, and it plays a critical role in maintaining accuracy in construction, navigation, and surveying.

Abstract

The development of creative thinking skills really needs to be done because this ability is one of the abilities that the world of work wants. Mathematics learning needs to be designed so that it has the potential to develop students' creative thinking. The observation results show that teachers still pay little attention to students' creative thinking skills. Creative thinking ability tests have been compiled and validated by the validator. Based on the identification and definition of the problem that has been simplified, the formulation of the problem in this study can be formulated, namely how is the test instrument for measuring the creative thinking abilities of junior high school students. The purpose of this study was to develop a test instrument that measures the creative thinking abilities of junior high school students. Based on the data obtained, the average validation result by experts is 3.36. and 84%. So, it can be concluded that the development of a test instrument to measure creative thinking skills is feasible to use
