Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) is entitled Training on Searching Teaching Materials from the Internet for Teachers. In the era of globalization, teachers should be more productive in developing teaching materials. Teachers must have broad insight in an effort to improve education. Teachers do not only transfer information/learning materials to students. The material taught by teachers must be varied and not only come from textbooks, but there is information as learning material that can be obtained through other sources. One source that can be used as a medium for searching for the latest information is the internet. The internet is not a rare item nowadays. Almost every time we use the internet in every activity to look for various reference materials and the information we need. Currently in Pangkep district, teachers certainly have a variety of learning media and teaching materials that are used in the teaching and learning process. Teachers can access very diverse information for their teaching materials. After carrying out the Training activity on Searching Teaching Materials from the Internet for Teachers in Pangkep Regency, it can be concluded as follows: The participants were very enthusiastic in taking part in this activity. After the implementing team carried out observations and evaluations, it was discovered that more than 80% of the participants had been able to prepare teaching materials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengembangkan modul robotik yang mudah dan menyenangkan bagi murid sekolah dasar. (2) Untuk mengetahui hasil uji kelayakan modul dalam meningkatkan pemahaman murid tentang robotik dan mengevaluasi respons murid terhadap modul tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi). Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) Pengembangan “Easy Fun 5 Projects Robotics For Kids”. (2) Persentase kelayakan modul dari ahli materi sebesar 86% & 88%, ahli media sebesar 89% & 90% dan dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”. (3) Persentase penilaian murid terhadap Modul mencapai 86% dengan kategori "Sangat baik" dari segi aspek self instructional, self contained, stand alone, adaptif, dan user friendly. Dengan mempertimbangkan uji coba produk yang dilakukan pada praktisi media dan pelajaran serta tanggapan murid maka pengembangan Modul Easy Fun 5 Projects Robotics For Kids dinyatakan layak sebagai modul pengenalan dasar robotika pada anak SD dan memiliki dampak yang positif terhadap pemahaman murid terhadap konsep robotika. Oleh karena itu, implementasi modul "Easy Fun 5 Projects Robotics For Kids" dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu strategi yang layak dalam mengenalkan dasar robotika pada murid sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The household electronic appliance maintenance and repair training for the Lempangang Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna) aims to improve the technical skills of the community, particularly young people, in identifying and repairing damage to household electronic appliances. Through this training, participants gained knowledge and practical skills in using measuring tools such as multimeters, replacing damaged components, and performing preventative maintenance on irons. The training results showed a significant improvement in participants' skills, as evidenced by a 9.04% increase in pre- and post-test scores. In the pre-test, participants' average scores were around 60%-70%, indicating sufficient basic understanding, but with some areas for improvement. After the training, participants' post-test scores increased to 80%-90%, reflecting a clear improvement in their ability to independently repair electric irons. Furthermore, this training opened new business opportunities in the field of electronic appliance repair services, had a positive impact on local economic empowerment, and reduced electronic waste by extending the lifespan of existing appliances. The program also raised awareness about the importance of maintaining electronic appliances in the household. As a suggestion, expanding training materials and using digital technology to support further learning can increase the impact of this training, as well as expanding community participation through partnerships with various parties.

Abstract

Pada pertengahan tahun 2019 seluruh negara di dunia menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 yang diakibatkan oleh virus Corona. Sampai sekarang awal tahun 2022 pandemi ini masih belum ditemukan obatnya dan bahkan terus meluas dan semakin banyak orang yang terjangkit virus ini. Adanya wabah virus ini menyebabkan pemerintah Indonesia memberlakukan pembatasan sosial dalam skala besar (PSBB) dan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PKM) level 3, level 2, dan level 1 bagi daerah-daerah yang terjangkit penyakit ini termasuk kabupaten-kota di provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Dampak dari diberlakukannya pemabatasan dalam dunia pendidikan salah satunya adalah menyebabkan sekolah harus menerapkan pembelajaran daring atau pembelajaran dari rumah. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, maka dalam merancang dan mempersiapkan proses pembelajaran melibatkan banyak komponen dan aktivitas yang harus terencana dengan baik, sistematis dan terukur dengan menggunakan teknologi internet dan aplikasi aplikasi interaktif. Namun sebagian besar guru yang mengajar pada satuan pendidikan di sekolah dasar khususnya guru di kabupaten Pangkajene dan Kepulauan masih mengalami kendala dalam menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran, utamanya media audio visual yang bisa menjadi alternatif dalam penyampaian materi ajarnya. Kondisi seperti ini menjadi cukup potensial dijadikan sebagai lokasi sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam hal pelatihan pembuatan video pembelajaran dengan aplikasi rekam layar. Selain itu guru pada umumnya sudah memiliki laptop dan bahkan sekolah pada umumnya memiliki personal komputer, sehingga pemahaman tentang pengoperasian komputer sangat baik.

Abstract

Traditional teaching methods that don't involve students in solving practical problems can lead to disengagement and a lack of critical thinking skills, which can lower electronic control system learning outcomes at Vocational School 10 Makassar. This study examines how Project-Based Learning (PjBL) improves student learning compared to conventional methods. This study is quantitative and quasi-experimental. 53 students were split into experimental (PjBL model) and control (conventional) groups. Students' activity observation sheets and pretest and posttest 20-question objective examinations were used to collect data. Data analysis included descriptive statistical tests, N-Gain tests, prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity), and independent sample T-test hypothesis testing. The results showed that the improvement in learning outcomes in the experimental class was significantly higher than in the control class. This conclusion is evidenced by the average posttest score of the experimental class of 14.00, far exceeding the control class of 9.71. The average N-Gain value of the experimental class reached 0.51 (medium category), while the control class was only 0.17 (low category). Based on the hypothesis test, a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 < 0.05 was obtained, which confirmed the significant positive influence of the use of the PjBL model. This study provides a practical contribution for educators in vocational schools as a reference for effective innovative learning models to improve project-based technical competencies.

Abstract

The low level of student creativity in engineering subjects is frequently attributed to monotonous instructional methods, whereas the demands of Industry 4.0 require vocational students to possess high creative competencies to manage complex control systems. This study aims to analyze the effect of project-based practicum implementation on student creativity in the Control Systems subject at Vocational School 5 Makassar. Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, the research involved 44 grade XI students selected through random sampling, divided into experimental (n=23) and control (n=21) groups. Data was collected using a creativity questionnaire covering fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration dimensions. Statistical analysis, including Shapiro-Wilk's and Levene’s tests, preceded the hypothesis testing via independent samples t-test. The findings reveal that the experimental group achieved a posttest mean score ( ) of 81.48, significantly outperforming the control group’s score of 65.05. The t-test yielded a significant value of p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming that project-based practicum acts as an effective catalyst in transforming creative potential into applicable innovative competencies. These results align with the vision of Competency-Based Training (CBT), providing a robust reference for vocational educators to implement innovative learning strategies relevant to the modern industrial landscape.
