Abstract

Factors that affect students' ability to read the Koran can certainly come from within and from outside, factors that come from outside students include attention from parents. Meanwhile, internal factors can be influenced by the willingness to learn from the students themselves. Students who have a high enthusiasm for learning can improve their ability to read the Koran, but this can be encouraged by the attention of parents in the form of providing learning support facilities, learning motivation, learning assistance, and so on. This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attention to the ability to read the Koran of students at Madrasah Ibtida'iyah Negeri Bawu Jepara. This type of research is a field research with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The population in this study were all fourth grade students, totaling 167 students. With a sample of 50 students using stratified sampling technique. The results of this study from calculations using product moment correlation found that the rcount value of 0.907 was greater than the rtable value of 0.279 at a significance of 5%. This shows that parental attention as a variable (x) has a significant relationship with students' ability to read Al-Quran as a variable (y). The greater the attention of parents, the higher the students' ability to read Al-Quran, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aims to elaborate the strengthening of Islamic moderateism through Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education. The researcher describes the behavior of Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah character education practiced by Islamic educational institutions as a basis for strengthening religious moderatism. The role of Islamic education institutions in applying moderate Islamic understanding in this disruption era is necessary. Because, students are faced with conditions of changing the order of values ​​and traditions that are very fast and unexpected. Through a descriptive-qualitative approach, data collection is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Through the frame of character education theory, the data analyzed using the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Apparently, Aswaja An-Nahdliyyah's character education at MTs. Miftahul Huda Bulungan Pakis Aji Jepara was developed through teaching the value of tawassuth, tawazun, tasamuh and i'tidal. The implementation as culture of madrasa, such as the obligation to pray before starting the lesson, orderly running pickets, praying dzuhur in congregation, wearing school uniforms, preserving ancestral culture, familiarizing greetings, sympathetic care routinely for yatama and dhuafa, maintaining the cleanliness of the madrasa environment, and a ban on littering the classroom walls. The limitation of this study has specific scope. That is the focus on strengthening religious moderateism in Islamic educational institutions which are under the shelter of the LP. Maarif NU Jepara Regency. There are still gaps for other researchers to conduct development research outside of that scope.

Abstract

This article discusses the curriculum content based on wasathiyah (moderation) in Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) College. This study uses a qualitative research approach, relying on documentation, observation, and surveys. The research identifies the content of wasathiyah values in the PAI Unisnu Jepara’s curriculum and explains values are internalized in the teaching process. The study finds that the content of wasathiyah values supporting the university curriculum includes tolerance (tasamuh), democracy (syura), peace (islah), nationalism (muwathanah), moderation (tawassuth), and respect for tradition and culture (i'tiraf bi al-'urf). These values are instilled through the use of cooperative learning methods. The results is confirm that NU, as a representation of moderate Muslim organizations in Indonesia, prioritizes the principle of religious moderation. NU has resolved the relationship between religion and the state. By adhering to the principle of muwathanah, Indonesia, based on Pancasila, is final and cannot be replaced by any other ideology, including Islamism. This study has important implications for education and Indonesian society. Wasathiyah-based education can help promote the formation of tolerant, democratic, peaceful, nationalist, moderate, and respectful characters. In addition, wasathiyah education can strengthen Indonesia as a country based on Pancasila and prevent society from radicalism

Abstract

This community development focuses on increasing the competitiveness of partners in the home industry-based processed cake business. The subject of devotion leads to the development of product quality with various innovations. The goal is including the lack of innovation in the marketing process, cake production is still fluctuating and tends to decline, and the appearance of product packaging is very simple. The Team uses Participatory Action Research (PAR) as an approach. In a participatory manner, the service team encourages partners to take transformative actions through various activities. As a result, in the production sector, partners have succeeded in marketing Jadul Bolu cake products with online and offline systems. In the field of business management, partners are trained to make packaging or labeling of Bolu Jadul cakes. In the field of marketing, partners utilize internet technology through the use of social media, Instagram.

Abstract

Masyarakat Desa Bondo, Jepara, dikenal dengan iklim toleransinya yang kuat. Dalam konteks kehidupan keluarga, umat Islam dan Kristen menyumbangkan karakteristik pola asuh yang inklusif. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif melalui pisau analisis teori psikologi perkembangan anak dan teori kepemimpinan dari Hersey dan Blanchard, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menampilkan model pendidikan dan pola asuh orang tua dari keluarga seagama dan beda agama. Dari hasil observasi partisipatoris dan wawancara mendalam, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk pendidikan di Desa Bondo memunculkan pelbagai model, di antaranya model pendidikan keteladanan, model pendidikan inklusif, model pendidikan kedisiplinan, model pendidikan dengan memberi hukuman, model pendidikan kemandirian, dan model pendidikan religius. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan pola asuh orang tua terhadap anak antara keluarga beda agama dan keluarga seagama. Bagi keluarga seagama (Kristen dengan Kristen), pola asuh yang mendominasi ialah permisif, demokratis dan otoriatif. Sedangkan pola asuh keluarga seagama (Islam dengan Islam) relatif sama dengan pola asuh yang diterapkan oleh keluarga beda agama (Kristen dengan Islam) yaitu demokratis, otoriter, dan otoritatif. Model pendidikan dan pola asuh orang tua tersebut berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesadaran toleransi dalam diri anak-anak di Desa Bondo. (The people of Bondo, Jepara, are known for their strong tolerance situation. In the context of family life, Muslims and Christians contribute to the characteristics of inclusive parenting. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach through the analysis of psychological theories of child development and leadership theories from Hersey and Blanchard, this study aims at displaying the educational model and parenting of parents of religious families and different religions. Based on the results of participatory observation and interviews, it can be concluded that there are several models of education in Bondo, including the model of exemplary education, the model of inclusive education, the model of disciplinary education, the education model by giving punishment, the education model of independence, and the model of religious education. In addition, there are differences in parenting parents towards children between families of different religions and religious families. For family members of the same religion (Christian to Christian), parenting that dominates is permissive, democratic and authoritative. Whereas parenting families of religions (Islam and Islam) are relatively similar to those adopted by families of different religions (Christianity with Islam) namely democratic, authoritarian, and authoritative. The model of education and parenting has a significant effect on awareness of tolerance in children in Bondo.)

Abstract

The skill of public speaking is crucial for everyone in this era of informational globalization. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools, as cultivators of Muslim generations, must be capable of developing and discovering a public communication skills development system. This research aims to analyze the implementation of khitobah in developing students' public communication skills, which also has implications for improving students' social and religious behavior. The object of this qualitative research is the Al-Qonitat Miftahun Najah Tahunan Jepara Islamic Boarding School. Informants consisted of managers, teachers, and students who were selected purposively. Data was collected using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that the implementation of the khitobah has fulfilled the elements of management. The khitobah program not only strengthens students' public communication skills but also improves social and religious behavior, such as empathy, social involvement, and strengthening interpersonal relationships. This research has implications for the importance of Islamic boarding schools including subjects or activities that support the development of public communication skills in their curriculum. Apart from that, it is also necessary to educate the public to change perceptions about the role and function of Islamic boarding schools in providing comprehensive education to students, including non-religious aspects such as developing communication skills.

Abstract

Keberadaan kiai kampung memiliki peranan yang penting dalam masyarakat tradisional, baik sebagai sesepuh, tetua adat, pendakwah, maupun pengajar pendidikan Islam. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menggambarkan realitas sehingga memperoleh pemahaman makna terkait eksistensi kiai pada program kuliah subuh yang dilaksanakan di Masjid Baitur Ridho Sinanggul. Metode penelitian ini ialah kualitatif deskriptif yang pengumpulan datanya menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi, dan triangulasi data. Sasaran dalam penelitian ini ialah kiai kampung dan jamaah kuliah subuh pada masjid tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa eksistensi kiai kampung tercermin pada program kuliah subuh di Masjid Baitur Ridho Sinanggul melalui jalan pendidikan Islam yang sudah berlangsung lebih dari tiga puluh tahun lamanya. Selain itu, masyarakat sering meminta saran untuk dijadikan pertimbangan dalam menghadapi setiap persoalan. Proses kaderisasi kiai kampung muda selalu dilakukan sebagai salah satu cara untuk menjaga keberadaan kiai kampung generasi selanjutnya. Berdasarkan hal itu, memberikan informasi bahwa kiai kampung sangat diperhitungkan keberadaannya dalam kehidupan masyarakat.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah memberikan dampak signifikan pada cara kita memperoleh dan membagikan informasi. Dalam konteks pendidikan, perpustakaan digital telah menjadi sumber belajar yang inovatif dan penting. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan peran dan manfaat perpustakaan digital sebagai sumber belajar yang efektif.Peran perpustakaan digital secara umum meliputi edukatif, informatif, rekreasi, dan riset atau penelitian sederhana. Dalam peran edukatif melalui perpustakaan digital disini diharapkan perpustakaan digital ini dapat membiasakan peserta didik belajar secara mandiri tanpa bimbingan guru, baik secara individual maupun berkelompok yang mudah dijangkau dan diakses dimana pun mereka berada.

Abstract

Higher Education (PT) as a provider of higher education has an important role in efforts to implement religious moderation, unfortunately, in recent years universities have become fertile fields for regeneration of groups that seek to undermine the existence of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). In its implementation, the Ministry of Religious Affairs established a Moderation House in PTKIN, while in PTU there has been no special attention related to this. In particular, this study aims to find out the concept of implementing diverse moderation in Unwahas, which is a PTU under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Research and Technology. This research is a qualitative research using data collection including documents, interviews, and observations. This study found that the implementation of religious moderation at Wahid Hasyim University was carried out in at least two strategic steps, namely through structured and academic programs. The structured program is a program that has been planned and implemented by the Aswaja Center Management and Young Aswaja Activists, Wahid Hasyim University, while academic means through the curriculum of the General Basic Course (MKDU), implemented in the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) of Islamic Religious Education Courses, to Aswajaan, Pancasila and Citizenship and also Compulsory Curriculum Courses (MKWK).

Abstract

21st-century education demands a more innovative approach to prepare students for future challenges. This article explores the implementation of 21st-century skills-based learning in the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Study Program at the Nahdlatul Ulama Islamic University (UNISNU) Jepara. This study uses qualitative methods to analyze how 21st-century skills are integrated into the PAI curriculum and their impact on student learning outcomes. Despite notable achievements in implementing 21st-century skills, the study findings identified significant weaknesses in critical thinking skills among female students at UNISNU Jepara. This study encourages educators to explore alternative methods to improve critical thinking skills, ensuring students can apply them efficiently in different academic contexts. In addition, students are expected to actively foster curiosity, collaborate with peers and lecturers, and improve literacy skills by exploring various sources of information. Collaborative efforts between educators and students are vital to creating an environment that supports the continuous improvement of critical thinking skills, reflecting a commitment to excellence in education and skills development. This article offers insights and recommendations for faith-based higher education institutions to integrate 21st-century skills effectively.
