Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepribadian tokoh dan nilai moral dalam novel Luka Cita karya Valerie Patkar. Kajian ini menggunakan teori kepribadian Abraham Maslow dan teori nilai moral Burhan Nurgiyantoro untuk mendalami aspek-aspek tersebut dalam novel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis dokumen dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik baca dan catat dari novel Luka Cita, yang diterbitkan oleh Bhuana Sastra pada tahun 2022. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepribadian tokoh dalam novel Luka Cita dapat dianalisis melalui tujuh hierarki kebutuhan menurut Maslow, yaitu kebutuhan fisiologis, rasa aman, pengakuan dan kasih sayang, penghargaan, kognitif, estetika, dan aktualisasi diri. Novel ini menunjukkan bagaimana karakter-karakter seperti Javier dan Utara berusaha memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan ini dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Selain itu, nilai moral dalam novel ini mencakup hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri, manusia lain dan lingkungan alam, serta hubungan dengan Tuhan. Nilai-nilai tersebut meliputi kerja keras, empati, kejujuran, dan praktik berdoa. Novel Luka Cita berhasil menggambarkan kepribadian tokoh dan nilai moral yang kompleks melalui narasi yang mendalam. Analisis ini menunjukkan bagaimana kebutuhan dan nilai-nilai tersebut berinteraksi untuk membentuk karakter dan pesan moral dalam cerita. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tambahan tentang bagaimana karya sastra dapat mencerminkan dan mengajarkan aspek-aspek penting dari kehidupan manusia.

Abstract

The service team of the Indonesian language and literature education study programme at Nusantara PGRI Kediri University held a workshop on differentiated learning strategies for teachers at MTSN 10 Nganjuk Regency on 10-12 September 2024. The workshop aims to explain the essence of differentiated learning strategies and develop systematic lesson plans, which are based on legal frameworks such as the National Education System Law and Government Regulations on National Education Standards. Curriculum development paradigms include progressivism, constructivism, humanism and cybernetics, with a focus on fostering students' independence and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century. Differentiated learning will involve modifying materials, processes, products, environments, and evaluations, while also emphasising the importance of understanding students' learning styles for a more effective learning experience. Thus learning difficulties and other learning problems experienced by students can be resolved and the learning objectives that have been planned by teachers and institutions can be achieved well.

Abstract

This article discusses the optimization of digital marketing as a means for marketing and preserving the art of kuda lumping in Karangrejo Village, Kediri District. The art of kuda lumping, which is a combination of dance, music, and spiritual elements, faces challenges in maintaining its existence in the midst of modernization. Limited digital knowledge and low exposure among craftsmen have caused this art to be marginalized. Through a community service program, intensive training and mentoring on digital marketing strategies were conducted. The results of this program showed a significant increase in digital knowledge and skills among artisans and youth organizations. In addition, the program succeeded in strengthening awareness of the importance of cultural preservation through digital media. The program also proved that with the support of technology, traditional arts can remain relevant and competitive in the modern market. This article emphasizes the importance of implementing digital marketing to support a culture-based creative economy. This model is expected to be adapted by other communities in Indonesia in an effort to preserve and promote traditional arts in the digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas konflik batin yang dialami tokoh utama dalam dongeng “Cerita Panji Populer: Cerita Panji Laras” serta bagaimana dongeng tersebut dapat mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa. Konflik batin merujuk pada pergolakan internal yang dialami individu, yaitu permasalahan yang terjadi dalam diri seseorang. Konflik ini berperan penting dalam menggerakkan alur cerita fiksi. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis teks untuk mengidentifikasi teori medan Lewin. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dalam dongeng “Cerita Panji Laras” terdapat tiga jenis konflik batin: konflik mendekat-mendekat (approach-approach conflict), konflik menjauh-menjauh (avoidance-avoidance conflict), dan konflik mendekat-menjauh (approach-avoidance conflict). Selain sebagai hiburan, membaca dan menganalisis konflik batin dalam dongeng ini juga mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa. Karakter yang dikembangkan mencakup aspek: knowing the good (mengetahui hal baik), desiring the good (menginginkan hal baik), exampling the good (mencontohkan hal baik), loving the good (menyukai hal baik), dan acting the good (melakukan hal baik).

Abstract

This study aims to develop a teaching module for writing Panji stories based on metacognitive strategies for junior high school students in grade VII. This module is designed to improve students' creative writing skills while introducing local cultural values through Panji stories. The research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with four stages of development, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. The data collection technique in this study involved three steps, namely observation, interview, and validation questionnaire. While the data analysis technique in this research is quantitative descriptive. The results showed that the developed module was valid and relevant to the curriculum. Feedback from teachers and students indicated that the module helped students in understanding the story structure, developing characters, and conveying moral messages. The metacognitive strategy approach applied enabled students to plan, monitor, and evaluate the writing process. In addition, this module supports the development of 21st century skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, as well as utilizing information technology in learning.

Abstract

Abstrak Cerita Panji, sebagai bagian dari kearifan lokal Kediri, memiliki nilai historis dan moral yang penting untuk dilestarikan. Namun, kurangnya pengetahuan siswa SMP Kota Kediri tentang cerita Panji mendorong perlunya upaya sosialisasi dan integrasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Pengabdian ini menguraikan kegiatan pengabdian yang berfokus pada sosialisasi cerita Panji kepada guru-guru yang tergabung dalam MGMP Bahasa Indonesia SMP Kota Kediri.  Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada  Selasa, 17 Desember 2024, bertempat di SMP Plus Rahmat Kota Kediri, dengan peserta berjumlah 50 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan tahapan yang meliputi persiapan, sosialisasi, diskusi, evaluasi, dan monitoring. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa guru mampu mengintegrasikan cerita Panji secara inovatif dalam pembelajaran, meningkatkan keterampilan literasi siswa sekaligus memperkenalkan nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Meski menghadapi tantangan waktu yang terbatas, kegiatan ini membuka peluang besar untuk pelestarian budaya lokal melalui pendidikan sastra yang kreatif dan relevan. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi cerita Panji tidak hanya memperkaya pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, tetapi juga memperkuat identitas budaya generasi muda. Kata kunci: cerita panji; cerita rakyat; pembelajaran sastra; sosialisasi Abstract Panji stories, as part of Kediri local wisdom, have historical and moral values that are important to preserve. However, the lack of knowledge of Kediri City junior high school students about Panji stories encourages the need for socialization and integration efforts in Indonesian language learning. This service outlines a service activity that focuses on the socialization of Panji stories to teachers who are members of the Kediri City Junior High School Indonesian Language MGMP.  This activity was carried out on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at SMP Plus Rahmat Kediri City, with 50 participants. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, with stages including preparation, socialization, discussion, evaluation, and monitoring. The results of the activity showed that teachers were able to integrate Panji stories innovatively in learning, improving students' literacy skills while introducing local cultural values. Despite the challenges of limited time, this activity opens up great opportunities for the preservation of local culture through creative and relevant literary education. Thus, the socialization of Panji stories not only enriches Indonesian language learning, but also strengthens the cultural identity of the younger generation. Keywords: panji story; folklore; literature learning; socialization

Abstract

Target pelaksanaan penelitian berikut ini ialah guna memperhatikan bagaimana peran sosiolinguistik pada kegiatan belajar mengajar di dalam materi cerpen dengan menggunakan skema komunikatif yang diterapkan di kelas XI SMAN 7 Kediri. Metodologi yang diterapkan pada penelitian berikut yakni deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber pemerolehan data pada penelitian berikut ialah proses pemerolehan materi cerpen melalui skema komunikatif. Pada proses pengumpulan data teknik yang dipakai ialah observasi serta wawancara dengan guru dan siswa, hal tersebut dilakukan mengingat keterbatasan akses dan ruang gerak pasca masa pandemi saat ini. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh ialah dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar pada materi cerpen, kelas XI baik MIPA dan IPS, SMAN 7 Kediri dapat diaplikasikan melalui skema komunikatif dengan baik. Kegiatan belajar mengajar tersebut diawali dari apersepsi, inti, serta penutup yang kesemua tahapan tersebut merujuk pada prinsip skema komunikatif. Pada pembelajaran dengan skema komunikatif tersebut juga terdapat adanya peranan sosiolinguistik di dalamnya, dimulai pada proses pembuatan perangkat pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, sampai pengaplikasian bahasa pada proses kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dari berbagai ulasan dan proses penelitian dapat ditarik kesimpuan bahwa pada pembelajaran cerpen memiliki kontribusi kajian sosiolinguistik dalam menerapkan skema komunikatif.

Abstract

In Javanese society, various symbolic actions such as wedding ceremonies, matchmaking, and mutual cooperation can be seen. The stages in this research include the preparation stage, implementation stage, and reporting stage, while the data sources in this research are in the form of words or actions of people who are interviewed or observed. The primary data source is notes from interviews and observations with sources. The offerings in implementing the series of baby birth procedures show that Javanese society hopes for the child's safety. Thus, it can be said that the meaning and function of the implementation of the tingkeban ceremony are: (1) to inherit the ancestral tradition so as not to be plagued by misfortune, and (2) to maintain balance, harmony, happiness, and safety life, which is a condition of peace without disturbance from other creatures or the surrounding environment. Essentially, this tradition asks for safety from God so that the child born is healthy and safe and always receives abundant sustenance.

Abstract

Human life does not escape from a creation. All the results of human creativity are called works. One of the most popular works is literature. Novels are included in the type of prose. Novels contain complex stories accompanied by depictions of characters that reflect real life so that novels can become quality reading material that contains various values of life that can be learned for readers. Novels are created through the process of imagination and creativity of the author in expressing ideas and views on things in the real world. A story in a novel can be composed because of the elements that build and create a coherent and structured whole. Intrinsic elements are useful to glue or link into a unified story. This research uses a structural approach to examine intrinsic elements in the form of themes consisting of major and minor themes, characters consisting of main and companion characters, characterization consisting of protagonists and antagonists, and internal and external conflicts in the novel. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research with data presentation in description sentences related to the findings.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of comparative language styles and social criticism in the poetry essay Mata Luka Sengkon Karta by Peri Sandi Huizche. The analysis identifies seven types of comparative language styles, including simile, metaphor, personification, antithesis, pleonasm, anticipation, and correction. Additionally, it focuses on five categories of social criticism: economic, moral, educational, religious, and political aspects. By applying a qualitative descriptive approach grounded in literary sociology, this research finds that social criticism predominates in the poetry, with 45 instances recorded compared to the seven types of comparative language styles. These poems critically reflect the socio-political conditions and religious practices of their time, highlighting fundamental issues such as injustice, repression, and inequality faced by society. Through various language techniques, Huizche effectively conveys the struggles of marginalized communities, positioning poetry as a powerful medium for social commentary. This study significantly contributes to understanding how literary works can serve as a means of deep social reflection and critique, encouraging readers to contemplate current societal conditions.
