Abstract

Strengthening Islamic educational identity at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level is an important necessity amid the challenges of globalization that can affect the religious character of students. One strategy that is considered effective is through the implementation of Islamic school culture, which is manifested in daily religious practices. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of Islamic educational identity through Islamic school culture with an emphasis on the implementation of daily religious practices in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical research type conducted at MI Ma'arif NU Islam Fitriah Lumajang. Data were obtained through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation studies, then analyzed using an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Islamic school culture functions as a value system integrated into religious routines, moral habits, teacher role models, and institutional policies. The implementation of Islamic educational values takes place through three main strategies, namely daily worship habits, educator role models, and the integration of Islamic values into learning.  Daily religious practices not only shape worship awareness, but also foster religious attitudes, discipline, responsibility, and politeness among students. Thus, Islamic school culture acts as a mechanism for the systematic and continuous internalization of values in strengthening the identity of Islamic education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Rendahnya literasi dasar dan kemampuan keagamaan anak-anak migran yang belum mendapatkan akses pendidikan formal maupun agama secara memadai, menjadi poin yang sangat utama terutama dalam sektor pendidikan. Kurangnya pemahaman agama, menjadikan anak-anak migran tidak dapat membaca bahkan menghafalkan surah pendek yang ada di Al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pendampingan baca tulis dan pengajaran surah pendek Al-Qur’an kepada anak-anak migran PKBM PNF Malaysia dengan menggunakan pendekatan service learning. Melalui pendekatan ini, peneliti tidak hanya mengabdi kepada masyarakat tetapi juga belajar teori secara langsung di lapangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket. Program pendampingan baca tulis dilakukan setiap Senin-Jum’at saat proses pembelajaran juga pengajaran surah pendek Al-Ashr seusai pembelajaran selesai, dan dibaca saat pulang sekolah. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan membaca dan hafalan surah Al-Ashr, serta tumbuhnya motivasi belajar anak-anak migran. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan baca tulis dasar dengan secara bertahap dan hafalan dengan metode talaqqi dan takrir efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan anak-anak migran yang ada di PPWNI Klang, Selangor Malaysia. Abstract

Amid global challenges such as social fragmentation, moral alienation, and the instrumentalization of education, Islamic education has come under increasing criticism for placing too much emphasis on cognitive achievement and normative religiosity while failing to develop students' affective and humanistic capacities. This condition is particularly evident in many Muslim educational contexts, including madrasahs, where character education often remains prescriptive rather than transformative. Responding to this gap, this study reimagines Islamic education through love-based pedagogy as a way to humanize character formation and promote inclusive social transformation. Using a qualitative multisite phenomenological approach, this study explores the life experiences of teachers, students, and school leaders in selected madrasahs under the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, reflective journals, and participatory observation, and analyzed using thematic analysis based on humanistic perspectives and Islamic ethics. This methodological approach is increasingly used in contemporary educational research to capture the process of meaning formation and the affective dimensions of learning. The findings show that love-based pedagogy contributes to a deeper internalization of Islamic values, strengthens students' moral abilities, and fosters an inclusive attitude towards diversity. The novelty of this research lies in the positioning of love not only as a moral virtue but as a pedagogical framework based on Islamic ethics and contemporary humanistic education. This research offers theoretical and practical contributions by proposing an integrative model of Islamic character education that is in line with the global discourse on humanity and inclusion. Its implications highlight the potential of love-based pedagogy to inform curriculum development, teacher training, and policy innovation in madrasah education, advancing a more humane, inclusive, and socially responsive Islamic education system.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dan kemudahan mengakses informasi telah mempengaruhi pola belajar siswa, salah satunya dengan menculnya budaya belajar instan. Kondisi ini berpotensi melemahkan proses internalisasi nilai, khususnya dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam yang berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter religius. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respon pedagogis guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam menghadapi budaya belajar instan melalui penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual serta implikasinya terhadap penguatan karakter religius siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di SMP Nurul Istiqomah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa budaya belajar instan ditandai dengan kecenderungan siswa untuk memperoleh jawaban yang cepat tanpa memahami lebih mendalam. Guru memberikan respon pedagogis melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual, kegiatan reflektif dan keteladanan. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada analisis integrative antara fenomena budaya belajar instan dengan respon pedagogis guru Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dalam penguatan karakter religius siswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kontekstual merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan budaya belajar instan dan memperkuat karakter religius siswa.
