Knowledge is the result of human sensing, or the result of someone knowing about objects through the senses they have, namely the senses of sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch. Covid-19 is a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 which infects the respiratory system. The spread of Covid-19 has the potential to trigger anxiety disorders in the community. The problem in this study is that data on the visitation of pediatric patients at the FDS Prapen dental clinic showed a decrease in the number of visits during the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parental knowledge about Covid-19 and the level of anxiety in taking their child to a pediatric dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method was a cross-sectional analytic research study design. The samples in this study were the parents of patients who took their children to the FDS Prapen clinic during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the amount of 40 respondents and the sample calculation used accidental sampling technique. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. Data analysis technique used the Rank Kendall's Tau test. The results showed that the knowledge of respondents about Covid was in (85%) good category and (92,5%) respondents did not experience anxiety when taking their children to a pediatric dentist during the Covid-19 pandemic. Analysed data showed (p=0,361), it means p values > 0,05 it be conclude that there is no relationship between the level of knowledge about Covid with anxiety Level in Taking care the children dentist during Covid-19 pandemic. This research can be additional information for clinic dentistry especially in the management of patient care during the Covid-19 pandemic and for parents of patients who experience anxiety.

Dental caries is a dental health problem that often occurs in elementary school students. During the pandemic, the face-to-face learning system became online learning, so that efforts to increase knowledge about dental and oral health can be carried out using video media and power points. This study aims to determine differences in the effectiveness of using video media and power point in online counseling to increase knowledge about dental caries in fifth grade students at SDN Wage 1 Sidoarjo during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research design was pretest-posttest with control group, which involved 70 students. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using independent sample t test. The results of the study show that power point is more effective as an online extension medium.Keywords: dental health; knowledge; online counseling; videos; power point ABSTRAK Karies gigi merupakan masalah kesehatan gigi yang banyak terjadi pada siswa sekolah dasar. Dalam masa pandemi, sistem pembelajaran tatap muka menjadi pembelajaran online, sehingga upaya peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut dapat dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan media video dan power point. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan efektifitas penggunaan media video dan power point dalam penyuluhan online untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang karies gigi pada siswa kelas V SDN Wage 1 Sidoarjo pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest with control group, yang melibatkan 70 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan independent sample t test. Maintenance of children's dental and oral health is very dependent on parents, especially mothers as the closest people to children. So research is needed which aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers about maintaining oral health and the incidence of dental caries in children. The design of this study was cross-sectional involving 92 pairs of mother and child respondents. The level of knowledge was measured by filling out a questionnaire, while the incidence of caries was measured by direct examination. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-square test. The results showed that the p value was less than 0.05. It can be concluded that the level of mother's knowledge about maintaining oral health is negatively correlated with the incidence of dental caries in children. The higher the level of mother's knowledge, the lower the incidence of dental caries in children.Keywords: dental caries; child; mother knowledge ABSTRAK Pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak sangat bergantung kepada orang tua, khususnya ibu sebagai orang yang terdekat dengan anak. Maka diperlukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan kejadian karies gigi pada anak. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah cross-sectional yang melibatkan 92 pasangan responden ibu dan anak. Tingkat pengetahuan diukur melalui pengisian kuesioner, sedangkan kejadian karies diukur dengan pemeriksaan langsung. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji Chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai p kurang dari 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut berkorelasi negatif dengan kejadian karies gigi pada anak. Semakin tinggi tingkat pengetahuan ibu maka semakin rendah kejadian karies gigi pada anak.Kata kunci: karies gigi; anak; pengetahuan ibu

Introduction: Children with special needs are a high risk group for health problems, so they need help and cooperation with others to get and maintain health, including in maintaining their oral health. The condition of the oral cavity is strongly influenced by age factors (especially very young children), the severity of the disorder/abnormality, and environmental conditions where children are highly dependent on their parents, siblings, or caregivers in caring for their oral cavity. There needs to be a training model for parents and teachers. Methods: This research is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach to analyze the variation in magnitude or contribution between the variables studied based on the research objectives. The subjects studied were parents of children with special needs with a sample size of 110 people at SLB BC Optima and SLB Karya Bhakti Surabaya. Collecting data using a questionnaire, with the variables studied: Perception of the training model, social support, parental interest and dental and oral health maintenance behavior in children with special needs. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Linear Structural Relationship (LISREL). Research results and analysis: The results show that: maintenance of oral health in children with special needs is influenced by training, social support and parental interest. The results of the model goodness test concluded that the final SEM model formed was a fit model, because of the 5 model goodness criteria, where the Chi-square value was 108.28 ( from the table value 138.81), RMSEA (0.054), GFI (0.936) , AGFI (0.905) and CFI (0.911) have met the fit model. Discussion: SECI Knowledge Management-Based Training Model and Social Support for Dental and Oral Health Maintenance Behavior for Children with Special Needs can be used as an alternative in an effort to improve dental and oral health maintenance behavior in children with special needs

Hasil penelitian Prasetyowati et al (2019) di wilayah Puskesmas Bugul Kidul Pasuruan diketahui bahwa sebanyak 53 % batita menunjukkan status gizi pendek dan 47 % dengan status sangat pendek. Berdasarkan hasil survey awal diketahui 90 % orang tua tidak mengetahui adanya keterkaitan antara stunting dengan erupsi gigi batita.Hasil observasi erupsi gigi pada batita dengan stunting diketahui sebanyak 77 % mengalami erupsi gigi yang lambat.Salah satu tugas kader adalah memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang kesehatan. Program pengabdian masyarakat bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kader dalam mengetahui keterkaitan stunting dengan erupsi gigi. Meningkatnya pengetahuan kader diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku masyarakat dalam pencegahan stunting dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan gigi anak. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa penyuluhan kepada kader. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu hampir 90% kader sudah mengetahui keterkaitan stunting dengan erupsi gigi. Kesimpulan yang dapat dirumuskan yaitu bahwa penyuluhan kepada para kader di wilayah Puskesmas Bugul Kidul Kota Pasuruan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan kader.

Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan suatu hal yang penting, maka usaha perawatan kesehatan gigi dan mulut perlu dibina sejak dini. Target atau sasaran pendidikan kesehatan dan pelayanan kesehatan yang ditujukan kepada kelompok atau populasi umur tertentu sangat menentukan keberhasilan suatu program kesehatan. Salah satu rangkaian program tersebut adalah usaha pembentukan kader-kader dokter gigi kecil yang merupakan bagian dari Usaha Kesehatan Gigi Sekolah (UKGS), keberadaannya perlu mendapat perhatian secara maksimal. Metode yang dilaksanakan adalah pembentukan kader, penyuluhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut, pelatihan dan pendampingan. Jumlah kader tersebut adalah 20 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas 3, 4 dan 5. Metode penyuluhan yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan demonstrasi. Alat bantu yang digunakan adalah model gigi, poster serta alat peraga. Target dan luaran yang dicapai pada pengabdian ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan kader dokter gigi kecil tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut dan dokter gigi kecil dalam melakukan melakukan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut, meningkatnya ketrampilan kader dokter gigi kecil tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut dan dokter gigi kecil dalam melakukan melakukan pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut, meningkatnya status kesehatan gigi dan mulut dan siswa sekolah dasar sehingga dapat mendukung kesehatan umum. Setelah kegiatan ini selesai kader dokter gigi kecil dapat melakukan transfer knowledge kepada teman- teman di sekolah maupun lingkungan di rumah, sehingga status kesehatan gigi dan mulut menjadi lebih baik.
