Abstract

Cinnamon is a leading commodity in Jambi Province and one of Indonesia's primary export commodities. However, the potential of this commodity is not entirely optimal. Many products are marketed in raw form, which limits added value and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the added value produced by each member of the cinnamon supply chain and formulate a strategy for developing this commodity in Jambi Province. The informants to find out the added value of cinnamon in this study amounted to 105 people who were selected purposively. The number of informants to formulate a strategy for developing cinnamon commodities in Jambi Province is five people who are considered experts. Qualitative analysis was collected through surveys, in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. In contrast, quantitative analysis included the calculation of profitability ratios to assess added value at each stage of the supply chain, as well as IFE and EFE matrix analysis to identify internal and external factors that affect the competitiveness of Jambi cinnamon.  The study results show that farmers who sort products get higher profits than those who sell in raw form. Traders and exporters derive the most tremendous nominal gains due to economies of scale. The recommended strategies for developing cinnamon commodities in Jambi Province include increasing production capacity, diversifying products, government support, and improving infrastructure to increase the competitiveness of Jambi cinnamon in the global market.

Abstract

The cinnamon commodity is quite significant in the economy of Sungai Penuh City, but farmers have not felt its role in improving welfare. The fundamental problems faced by cinnamon farmers in Sungai Penuh City are the weak bargaining position of farmers in the pricing process due to lack of access to price information, the attachment of farmers to collecting traders, and the limited ability of farmers to develop processed cinnamon products allegedly resulting in farmers only getting a small profit from sales. Traders, collectors, and exporters process more to meet domestic and foreign market demand. For this reason, an analysis of the existing condition of marketing margins and farmers' share of cinnamon commodities in Sungai Penuh City is needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze cinnamon marketing margins between farmers, collecting traders and exporters in each marketing channel in Sungai Penuh City, analyze the amount of farmers share obtained by farmers in each cinnamon marketing channel in Sungai Penuh City, and analyze cinnamon marketing functions in the form of physical functions, exchange functions and facility functions between farmers, Collecting traders and exporters in Sungai Penuh City. To answer the study's objectives, the author uses marketing margin analysis methods, profit margin analysis, farmer's share analysis, and marketing function approaches in physical, exchange, and facility functions. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach, and the informants in this study are determined by purposive sampling. The results showed that as many as 60 percent of cinnamon farmers in Sungai Penuh City chose and 40 percent chose the two-actor marketing channel. In contrast, the cinnamon marketing channel involving three marketing actors showed that the marketing system was inefficient. In contrast, the cinnamon marketing channel involving two marketing actors showed that the cinnamon marketing system in Sungai Penuh City was efficient.

Abstract

This research investigates the landscape of entrepreneurship literature through a comprehensive analysis that integrates bibliometrics and keyword examination. Utilizing VOSviewer for bibliometric analysis, influential works, thematic clusters, and intellectual relationships are identified, offering a macroscopic view of the field's evolution. Concurrently, a keyword analysis illuminates prevalent themes, shedding light on the interdisciplinary nature of entrepreneurship studies. The results reveal a dynamic landscape characterized by foundational concepts, emergent trends, and a commitment to addressing societal challenges. Key themes include entrepreneurship education, economic and social development, sustainability, and gender considerations. The findings provide valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers, guiding future research directions and informing strategies for fostering entrepreneurship in diverse contexts.

Abstract

Industri pengolahan kopi memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal Kota Sungai Penuh, namun masih terdapat banyak tantangan, khususnya dalam proses penjemuran kopi yang masih mengandalkan penjemuran tradisional. Keterbatasan ini mengakibatkan ketergantungan pada cuaca dan berdampak negatif pada kualitas serta kuantitas produksi kopi. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi produksi kopi arabika di UKM Prista Coffeebean melalui penerapan teknologi Arabica Greenhouse. Metode pengabdian meliputi observasi awal dan analisis kondisi mitra, pembangunan Arabica Greenhouse, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Setelah penerapan Arabica Greenhouse, UKM Prista Coffeebean mencatat peningkatan produksi dari 1-2 ton per bulan menjadi sekitar 3-4 ton per bulan, dan kualitas kopi lebih terjaga dari risiko jamur dan bau yang merusak mutu kopi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi ini mendukung keberlanjutan UKM kopi melalui peningkatan konsistensi kualitas dan kapasitas produksi.

Abstract

The research aims to find out whether investment, population and workforce have an effect on the economy, and how much influence investment, population and workforce have on the economy on the island of Sumatra. The data used is secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The data in this research was analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The analysis tools used are multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing and the Coefficient of Determination (KD). On the day of the research, partial results showed that there was an influence between investment on the economy. This was proven by the results of t-count > t-table (-0.920 > -4.302), there was no influence between population and the economy. This was proven by the results of t- count < t-table (0.353 < 4.302), there is an influence between Labor and the Economy, this is proven by t-count > t-table (-1.723 > -4.302). Partially, the magnitude of the influence of Investment on the Economy is 71.57, Population on the Economy is 26.77 and Labor on the Economy is -14.62. The magnitude of the simultaneous influence is 83.2%. The remaining 100% - 83.2% = 16.8% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Financial Technology (FinTech) dan Digital Marketing terhadap peningkatan daya saing UMKM di Kota Sungai Penuh serta merumuskan strategi prioritas pengembangannya Metode: Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods) dengan desain eksplanatori. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 288 pelaku UMKM yang dipilih secara purposive dan dianalisis menggunakan Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) serta Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa FinTech (?=0,318) dan Digital Marketing (?=0,462) berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap daya saing, sementara Digital Marketing berperan sebagai pure moderator yang memperkuat hubungan FinTech terhadap daya saing (? interaksi=0,187). Analisis IPA mengidentifikasi lima aspek prioritas peningkatan, yaitu efektivitas iklan digital, keamanan transaksi fintech, konsistensi posting, integrasi fintech marketing, dan kualitas konten. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa sinergi antara FinTech dan Digital Marketing merupakan strategi kunci dalam memperkuat daya saing dan keberlanjutan UMKM di era digital. Kesimpulan: FinTech dan Digital Marketing terbukti secara signifikan meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di Kota Sungai Penuh, dengan Digital Marketing berperan sebagai penguat (moderator) hubungan FinTech terhadap daya saing. Sinergi keduanya menjadi strategi kunci, dengan prioritas utama pada efektivitas iklan digital, keamanan transaksi, konsistensi konten, dan integrasi pemasaran digital
