In the evolving landscape of digital education, integrating innovative tools into language learning is crucial for enhancing student engagement and accessibility. This study examines the incorporation of podcasts, defined as episodic digital audio content accessible via the internet, in Indonesian language learning at the university level. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative methodology, the research focuses on 32 students from the Indonesian Language Education program at Bung Hatta University. Despite general familiarity among students with podcasts, their application as an educational tool for Indonesian language instruction is infrequent within this program. Data were collected through surveys comprising multiple-choice and essay questions, administered through Google Forms. Findings suggest a need for Indonesian language educators to more actively integrate podcasts into their teaching strategies, leveraging this medium's potential to enhance accessibility and engagement in language learning. The implications of this research highlight the importance of adopting digital audio content as a complementary tool in language education, encouraging educators to explore innovative methods to enrich the learning experience and improve student outcomes.

The phenomenon of bullying is a serious and concerning problem, especially in educational environments such as schools and Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to explore educational models and approaches used in preventing and dealing with bullying in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and Malaysia, using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach which involves systematic identification, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant research. Google Scholar and ERIC were chosen because of their broad academic coverage and access to educational and psychological journals. Of the initial 290 articles, 40 articles were excluded due to duplication, irrelevance, or not meeting established inclusion criteria. The research results show that there is a trend in anti-bullying education models in Islamic boarding schools varying from prevention to intervention. Overall, the approach used to prevent and handle bullying in Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia and Malaysia shows a commitment to creating a safe and conducive educational environment. Thus, the results of this research will be a contribution to policy makers and Islamic boarding schools in preparing anti-bullying programs in the Islamic education environment.

The objective of this study is to comprehend the management of character-based inclusive education at Al Firdaus High School, an institution recognized nationally for maintaining its status as an inclusive school with a focus on instilling character-based Islamic values. Awarded the Inclusive Education Award by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2012, Al Firdaus High School serves as a model inclusive school. This qualitative research employs a case study approach, categorized under descriptive research, and was conducted at SMA Al Firdaus Sukoharjo, gathering data through participant observation, structured interviews, and documentation. The research identified ten-character values integrated into five national characters: religious, nationalist, independent, mutual cooperation, and integrity. Specifically, the values of being balanced and reflective are encompassed within the religious character; caring within the nationalist character; knowledgeable, inquiry-driven, risk-taking, and communicative within the independent character; open-minded within mutual cooperation; and thinker and principled within integrity. The study highlights how Al Firdaus High School integrates Islamic character-based values into its inclusive education framework, promoting inclusivity and holistic student development. This integration reflects the school’s commitment to fostering a balanced, reflective, caring, knowledgeable, inquisitive, risk-taking, communicative, open-minded, thoughtful, and principled student body. As a national model, the school’s recognition and award for inclusive education underscore its successful management and implementation of these principles, providing valuable insights for other institutions aiming to develop inclusive education programs grounded in character-based values.

In education, the role of teachers is one of the determining factors for student success in school. The relationship between teacher knowledge and student management with learning difficulties cannot be separated. There are still many students who do not understand the lessons given the low level of student knowledge has an impact on student independence, so research is needed to assess the current level of teacher knowledge and identify areas that need to be improved in managing the behavior of students with learning difficulties. The method used in this research is quantitative with an individual surveillance approach. The respondents were 160 people who were randomly selected at the elementary school teacher level in West Jakarta. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire containing items related to demographics and the level of knowledge of teachers as educators in managing the behavior of students with learning disabilities. All items are assessed on a Likert scale from point 1 to point 5—data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics assisted by SPSS Version 25.0. The results showed that teachers' knowledge was divided into three, namely how to manage practical behavior, positive reinforcement, and negative reinforcement, and it was found that the level of teachers' knowledge in managing practical behavior was in the high category. In conclusion, teachers' skills in managing the class can be improved by improving the management of practical behavior in the learning process to help students. The implication is that teachers who handle problematic students provide service courses and workshops related to management and provide special attention.

This study explores the role of effective extracurricular management in cultivating students who are creative, imaginative, and well-mannered. The primary aim of extracurricular activities is to complement the formal educational experience by offering opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills gained in the classroom. The objective of this research is to enhance character education in elementary school students through participation in extracurricular activities. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the study seeks to present a comprehensive overview of the current situation and to provide an in-depth description of the factors at play, offering the reader highly accurate insights. The research is conducted at SDI Lukmanul Hakim Sumenep, a school consistently recognized among the top in the region since 2013 by the Sumenep Regency administration. Data sources include key informants such as the school principal, deputy head of curriculum, teachers, and students. Findings suggest that extracurricular activities contribute significantly to the improvement of character education, instilling values such as religious observance, honesty, tolerance, discipline, and responsibility. These outcomes are achieved through regular activities like teacher and student picket duty and flag ceremonies, as well as spontaneous initiatives such as advising, correcting behavior, and providing assistance with incidental tasks. Furthermore, examples and conditioning activities, including environmental cleanliness and character education taglines, reinforce these values. The positive impacts of these activities include the development of social skills and communication abilities, with the school environment playing a crucial role in shaping students' character.
