Abstract

This study aims to develop social media-based Mahārah al-kalām learning media using the TikTok application and to test the feasibility of these learning media. In the development of this learning media, the researcher used the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) development type with 42 students as respondents in the Arabic language course at the Islamic Education Study Program of the Universitas Islam Indonesia with the data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire which included components, material, display, and operation/use. From the feasibility test of learning media by media experts, a percentage of 85.7% was obtained with the very feasible category, the material expert test obtained a percentage of 92.8% with a very feasible category. Then the learning media was tested extensively (in the field) to 42 students by getting a percentage of 82.12% in the very feasible category. The average of the results of the expert tests and trials mentioned above, the percentage results are 86.9%, which means that the social media-based mahārah al-kalām (speaking skill) learning media using the TikTok application is very feasible to use.

Abstract

This paper presents the analysis of the translation of the term sariyyah in the book “Nurul Yaqin Fi Sirah Sayyidil Mursalin” by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Khudhari. The translator of this book does not translate the term sariyyah. This translating process is called foreignization, the opposite of localization. The data was taken from the book “Nurul Yaqin Fi Sirah Sayyidil Mursalin” by Sheikh Muhammad Al-Khudhari which was published by Dar El Hadits, Cairo in 2010, with a total of 270 pages and its Indonesian translation book entitled “Nurul Yaqin Sirah Nabi Muhamad Pemimpin Para Rasul” (Nurul Yaqin The Biography of Muhammad PBUH, Leader of the Apostles). The word sariyyah is repeated 45 times in the Arabic book and 46 times in the Indonesian translated book. The researcher used the descriptive analysis method with the Peter New Mark translation procedure approach using the V diagram translation theory. The analysis results prove that the word sariyyah is not translated because the translator is doubtful about the appropriate sariyyah word matching in Indonesian.

Abstract

This study analyzes lafazh qaul and "kalām" in the Qur'an according to balāghah perspective, also discussing the meaning of the context of the two lafazhs. Because in balāghah's perspective, there is no same word, each lafazh has a different meaning even though it is the same in its textual form.  As ibtalā and ikhtabara mean to test. the word ibtalā is used for the meaning of good and bad trials. But the Arabs used it a lot for bad trials. While the word ikhtabara derived from the word khabara is used for the meaning of testing in a good context only. This literature research examines the use of the Qur'anic language in lafazh qaul and kalām and its meaning which aims to examine the miracles of the Qur'an in the aspect of language. The results of this study indicate that lafazh kalām is a part of qaul. Lafazh qaul and expressed in the context of something that is known or not known by humans, and qaul has two meanings, namely qaul mufīd and qaul ghairu mufīd. Meanwhile, lafazh kalām is devoted to the speech of Allah to the prophet, the speech of Allah to fellow human beings, and the speech of Allah to the dead.

Abstract

This article discusses the development of lecturer competencies in using methods and techniques in learning Arabic language proficiency in Indonesian universities. This study uses a descriptive evaluative approach to the data obtained at the Arabic Language and Culture Study Program, Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI). From the study conducted, it was found that one of the reasons for the not yet maximal ability of students in mastering Arabic language proficiency in Indonesian universities, especially at UAI, was because the lecturers who taught were not maximal in using teaching methodologies and techniques. The technique used is not innovative and tends to be repetitive and boring so that students are not maximally motivated to learn Arabic. Some tips that can be done in instilling a sense of love between lecturers and students in learning and good relations between lecturers and student families can affect the success of the Arabic language learning process that can be implemented.
