Al-Idarah: Jurnal Kependidikan Islam, registered in p-ISSN: 2086-6186 and e-ISSN: 2580-2453, is a peer-reviewed journal of original research and writing on Islamic education management and education management in general. The biannual journal, regularly issued in June and December, aims to provide a forum for scholarly understanding of the field of education and plays an important role in promoting the process that accumulates knowledge, values, and skills. Scientific manuscripts dealing with contemporary education management topics are openly welcome and highly appreciated. Abstract

This study aimed to describe information and communication (ICT)-based education marketing management in MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Jatilawang Banyumas. This study employed qualitative approach by using interview, observation, and documentation for the data collection. The collected data were analyzed by Miles and Huberman model, consisted of data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study shows that education marketing management in MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Jatilawang Banyumas utilized information and communication technology (ICT), especially in its education marketing. In this study, the education marketing was done by George R. Terry’s theory in management function analysis which were planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation. ICT-based education marketing management in MTs Ma’arif NU 1 Jatilawang Banyumas was done through ICT-based planning of education marketing management, ICT-based organization of education marketing management, ICT-based implementation of education marketing management, and ICT-based evaluation of education marketing management.

Abstract

Aqidah, sharia and morals are the fundamental aspects in Islamic teachings that need to be totally instilled in oneself. However, the cultivation of those main values, in fact, has not been maximized. This problem also becomes a concern of SMKIT Khoiru Ummah Rejang Lebong Bengkulu in which the cultivation of aqidah, sharia and morals faces the challenges and obstacles. At the same time, such problems indicate that the totality of students in applying Islamic values has not been thoroughly embedded. This facts then require the school to implement Total Quality Management in its religious education activities. Therefore, this article aims to describe the implementation of Total Quality Management as an effort to form the quality and religious totality of students. This type of research is qualitative-descriptive.  Data were collected by conducting interviews and observations. The data were then analyzed by reducing, displaying and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested by using triangulation technique. The result of this study shows that the efforts to form religious totality are carried out through routine religious activities at school, giving reprimands, directions, punishments, exemplary, environmental conditioning, school culture and the application of noble values through learning and training. Through these activities, the school applies the principles of Total Quality Management which include evaluation and improvement, optimizing the role of the school headmaster, cooperation, prioritizing customer satisfaction, conducting planned training, and improving quality of learning.

Abstract

Through quality assurance, there is an effort to ensure that the education process is implemented based on the standard. Quality assurance is very essential so that education is can create qualified output. The implementation of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) requires many resources which becomes a challenge for education institution in Indonesia. On the other hand, ensuring the quality of education according to stakeholders’ expectations is a form of responsibility to stakeholders. This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance cycle in SMA Global Madani Bandar Lampung. The data were collected from interviews with several informants, and tested by using triangulation. SMA Global Madani Bandar Lampung implemented quality assurance cycle through the process of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and corrective action. The stages of the internal quality assurance cycle were carried out within the framework of PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, and Act). The integration of the school’s vision into the internal quality assurance process at SMA Global Madani Bandar Lampung was done through a quality development program that was aligned with the vision of the school with the basis of Islamic values, intelligence, and dignity, according to the vision of SMA Global Madani, that is Smart and Dignified Muslim.

Abstract

Academic supervision is one of the most important steps for a school in order to improve the quality of educational process. As one of the best role model high schools in Bantul Yogyakarta, MAN Wonokromo has implemented the academic supervision regularly on its own way that might be different from other schools. This study aims to examine the implementation of academic supervision and the obstacles faced by the school principal and how he offers solutions. This field research takes the case in MAN Wonokromo Bantul Yogyakarta using qualitative descriptive approach. The methods used in data collection are observation, interviews and documentation, Meanwhile, testing the validity of the data uses data triangulation techniques. Then, data analysis technique uses data collection, data  reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the principal academic supervision in MAN Wonokromo is done through scheduled and unscheduled planning, and the implementation uses the type of individual supervision in the form of class visits assisted by senior teachers who are in accordance with their scientific fields. The research finding points out that there are innovation and creativity initiated by the school principal in providing solutions when facing obstacles in the implementation of academic supervision by representing the supervision activities to senior teachers. Thus, this kind of supervision actually can be a good example for other schools to keep the quality of learning process in the class.

Abstract

Curriculum is an essential part of education. It has two functions in education, that are to realize the vision of education as well as become the reference of the implementation of education. Because of the importance of curriculum, school as an institution that manages the process of education must carry out curriculum planning that can be perceived by the teachers so that it can be implemented in the teaching and learning process. The objective of this research was to analyze the curriculum planning based on the importance and performance by Importance Performance Analysis. The data collection was done by random questionnaire given to 30 teachers in an elementary school, SD Islam dan Leadership Bintang Cendekia. From this research, it was found 8 very satisfying important attributes, 4 poor important attributes, and 6 poor unimportant attributes, and 2 very satisfying unimportant attributes.

Abstract

The performance of teachers from several State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) in Kota Padang Panjang was classified as not optimal yet, that led to lack of performance in finishing the teachers’ task and function in this New Normal era. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN teachers in Kota Padang Panjang during the New Normal era. This research used quantitative method to determine the problems occurred in the field. The population of this study were 173 teachers, with the research samples chosen was 116 people. The sample was chosen by using Cochran technique, namely stratified proportional random sampling. The data were collected by using questionnaires. Then, they were analyzed by SPSS version 17. The results of this study showed that: (1) The positive and significant effect of the principal's leadership on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers: The effect of the principal’s leadership on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers was 0.357 with a coefficient of determination of 0.1274 or (12.74%); (2) The positive and significant effect of emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers: Performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers during the New Normal era was determined by intelligence emotional, that was equal to 0.302 with a coefficient of determination of 0.0912 or 09.12%; (3) The positive and significant effect of both principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence on the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers  in the New Normal era, and the performance of MAN Kota Padang Panjang teachers in the New Normal era were determined by the principal’s leadership and emotional intelligence altogether by 0.652 with a coefficient of determination of 0.42.51 or 42.51%.

Abstract

This study discussed how well communication worked during academic supervision at MAN 2 Tanah Datar. This research used a qualitative phenomenological method. The data were collected by using unstructured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Then the informants were chosen by snowball sampling technique. The data analysis by Miles and Huberman model techniques was used in this study, which consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. Meanwhile, the researchers used data triangulation techniques to test the validity of the data. The results of the study showed that to create effective communication during academic supervision, supervisors must have communication skills such as: 1) respecting the supervised teachers; 2) having empathy, that means prioritizing to listen, understand and feel what the teacher feels; 3) being audible, that means that the teacher can properly accept the supervisor’s instruction; 4) giving clear instruction to the teachers; and 5) being friendly and wise in supervising the teacher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the achievement of the standards of educators and education staff. It needs to be discussed to ensure the achievement of an institution based on the eight national education standards that have been set. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with 10 teachers and education staff at different schools and Madrasah in West Java as participants. The instrument used is in the form of a questionnaire with reference to 19 National Education Standard (SNP). This study concluds that (1) the achievement profiles of the standards of teachers and education staff show various results with an average of 81.1% for Islamic Religious Education teachers, and 81.6% for Non-Islamic Religious Education teachers; (2) aspects that have not reached the maximum score are teacher certification, technology and communication competence, and schools or madrasas that have not had Heads of Administrative Personnel who are experienced and certified from designated institutions by the government. The recommendation of this research is the need for a more in-depth and comprehensive study of the competence and eligibility of teachers in schools. This is important because the teachers is the main actors who play a determinant role for success in achieving educational goals.

Abstract

The implementation of educational supervision to enhance the teacher professionalism at MAS Thawalib Tanjung Limau, Tanah Datar Regency becomes  the main focus of this study. This study is a part of descriptive qualitative research. The head of the MAS, however, is the main source of research data. Observations and interviews are used as data collection techniques. The supervision provided by the head of MAS Thawalib Tanjung Limau plays a significant role as the effort to increase the quality of teachers. For increasing resource capacity and revamping materials to meet national education goals, strategies such as instructional supervision are helpful. The preparation stage, class observation, and assessment or feedback discussion are the three stages that make up this clinical supervision. Limited infrastructure and resources, lack of teacher discipline, and lack of teacher knowledge about efficient classroom management techniques are challenges experienced in the clinical supervision and teaching. This study shows that the principal's educational supervision places a vital position to support appropriate infrastructure and facilities of schools, maximize the teacher disciplinary action, and offer proper direction, and advice on efficient classroom management procedures.

Abstract

The Indonesian Ulema Council, as one of the religious organizations in Indonesia, always proclaims Islam rahmatan lil alamin. This article aims to examine and dig deeper into the principles of khairu umah which are strengthened by the MUI in Lampung society and how. This research uses a qualitative approach using data collection tools; interviews, observation and documentation, data obtained through primary data, namely: MUI management in Lampung Province, Ulama in Lampung Province, and Islamic religious figures and social observers in Lampung. The informant provided information related to the focus of this research. The validity of the data is used through technical triangulation, namely the integration of data obtained from interviews, observation and documentation with analysis steps through the stages of data reduction, data display and conclusion. Based on data findings in the field; The principles of Khairu Ummah which are strengthened in the Lampung community include; As-Shidqu, al-amanah wal-wafa bil 'ahdi, al 'is, at-ta'awun and istiqomah. The way to strengthen the principles of Khairu Ummah is by providing an example or qudwah hasanah for religious practice with the character of rahmatan lil'alamin with the Amar Ma'ruf Nahi Mungkar method and strengthening faith in Allah SWT. through ADW media, al-Ukhuwah Bulletin Publication, MUI on -lone, TV MUI and Mutiara Hikmah Ramadhan as well as the ta'lim assembly.
