Abstract

If a woman is in a physiological postpartum condition, her body will increase the production of free radicals. This situation will be worse if the woman is undergoing pathological postpartum, the production of free radicals in her body will be even greater. This condition is known as oxidative stress. This situation can be prevented by postpartum mothers doing Otaria exercises. The design used in this research was Post Test Only Control Group Design or Post-test with an experimental group of 20 respondents and 20 respondents in a control group of 20 respondents. The research was conducted in the PKM Karang Intan 2 working area, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan Province, which includes 13 villages. The research instrument or measuring tool used to see the effect of exercise on MDA levels in postpartum mothers is the GoM Assay Kit (TBA method) from Assay Genie with product catalog: MAES0037. In the treatment group with a low average GoM, it can be seen that the average GoM shows an increase in the control group. This shows that Otaria exercise is able to reduce GoM levels significantly. Oxidative stress can be prevented with antioxidants as a mechanism for the body's defense system against free radicals. Oxidative stress in mothers during the post-partum period can be prevented by doing Otaria exercises which have been proven to be able to reduce GoM levels in post-partum maternal plasma

Abstract

HIV transmission from mother to child tends to increase from year to year. One of the important ways of transmitting HIV is transmission from mother to fetus, however many pregnant women do not have the opportunity and information about HIV/AIDS and counseling services. This type of research is survey research. The population in this study was all pregnant women in the city of Balikpapan for the period 2021 - 2022 totaling 1.42 people. The sample in this study was pregnant women and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of the statistical test concluded that there was an interaction that had a significant and positive influence on HIV testing and the decision to provide breast milk in the city of Balikpapan, the knowledge factor influenced the seriousness that pregnant women felt about HIV/AIDS in carrying out HIV testing. Pregnant women who have high knowledge about HIV/AIDS will feel a very strong sense of seriousness about HIV/AIDS so with the seriousness they feel, the pregnant mother will be encouraged to carry out an HIV test. There are still many pregnant women who have low knowledge and do not undergo HIV testing because the education level of the respondents is still low, most of whom have a high school education or less.

Abstract

Meta-skills and metacognition are 21st century skills. The correlation between metacognition and meta-skills has never been studied before. Even though both have a relationship based on concept studies. Therefore, this study aims to predict the extent to which metacognition can influence meta-skills. This quantitative research is correlational research conducted on 30 undergraduate students of Biology Education, Universitas Jambi. Students' metacognition was measured using a test. Students' meta-skills were measured using a questionnaire whose scores were transformed into interval data. The results were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of data analysis showed there is a correlation between students' metacognition and meta-skills (p = < 0.01). There is a significant regression equation [F (1. 58) = 14.28, p < 0.01] with an R2 of 0.20. Students' meta-skills can be predicted using the regression equation y = 33.63 + 0.46x. The regression coefficient (B = 0.46) indicates that an increase in metacognition score by 1 number will increase students' meta-skills score by 0.46.
