Abstract

Kedungprimpen Village faces various administrative challenges due to the manual management of correspondence and asset inventory, resulting in duplicated letter numbers, delayed services, and inaccurate village asset data. This community service program aims to develop and implement SI-Desaku, an integrated web- and desktop-based information system designed to support village correspondence administration and asset management in a unified manner. The implementation method includes socialization, system requirements analysis, application development, field testing, technical training, intensive mentoring, and program evaluation. The results indicate that SI-Desaku successfully eliminated letter number duplication by 100%, reduced service time from 15–30 minutes to 5–10 minutes, and provided an accurate, real-time village asset database. Furthermore, the digital literacy of village officials improved significantly, as evidenced by 90% of participants being able to operate the system independently. The implementation of SI-Desaku contributes to the realization of transparent, accountable, and sustainable village governance, while also being oriented toward improving the quality of public services.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to address the critical challenges of clean water availability and food security faced by communities in the karst area of Biraeng Village, Pangkep Regency, which is characterized by fragile geological conditions and rapid drainage. These conditions result in limited surface water availability and have a negative impact on agricultural productivity. Data was collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the social and environmental conditions. The results show that the community relies on dug wells, seasonal springs, rainwater harvesting, and bore wells, whose discharge decreases during the dry season, thereby requiring a collective water distribution management system. Community empowerment through the establishment of water management groups has proven effective in improving more equitable and organized access to water. In addition, food diversification programs, such as cultivating corn, cassava, and utilizing home gardens, have been effective in maintaining local food availability despite environmental limitations. However, challenges such as limited technical knowledge and underdeveloped local institutions remain significant constraints. Therefore, this study recommends strengthening local institutions in a sustainable manner, integrating appropriate technology, and developing food diversification strategies based on local potential to achieve food security and sustainable water resource management in karst areas.

Abstract

This service program is in the form of socialization activities carried out in Kampung Gosong Telaga Selatan, Aceh Singkil, to overcome the limited supply of ice blocks as a preservative for the catch of traditional fishermen of KUB Nelayan Maju Bersama. This socialization aims to increase the understanding and readiness of fishermen in utilizing appropriate technology in the form of ice block machines. The lecture and discussion method was used in the socialization process, involving 22 participants under the coordination of the Chairman of KUB Nelayan Maju Bersama. The results of this service showed a significant increase in understanding, marked by an increase in post-test scores of 65% compared to pre-tests. This socialization helps fishermen understand the benefits of ice block machines in maintaining the freshness of fish after going to sea, reducing losses, and increasing selling value. This activity also strengthens collective management in the group. Overall, the socialization succeeded in increasing the capacity of fishermen to adopt technology and support local economic independence, while encouraging the sustainability of small-scale fisheries businesses based on participatory and sustainable empowerment of coastal communities, to strengthen the economic resilience of fishing families in the region.

Abstract

The rise of ideological challenges and the spread of extreme religious views in the digital era have significantly affected cadre development within GP Ansor, Banser, and Pagar Nusa. This study employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving cadres in Central Lampung as active partners throughout all stages. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGD), and documentation. Data analysis followed an interactive model, including data reduction, presentation, and reflective conclusion drawing. The PAR approach emphasizes collaboration between academics and the community, positioning cadres not merely as objects but as active agents of social transformation. The program focused on strengthening Aswaja ideology integrated with digital literacy to address ideological and technological challenges. The results indicate improved understanding and skills among cadres, while also contributing to the development of a contextual, sustainable, and community-based ideological mentoring model that has the potential to be replicated across other NU branches in Indonesia.

Abstract

Environmentally conscious character development can be encouraged through environmental education, which provides an understanding of the importance of protecting and preserving nature. One example of environmental education in Indonesia is the Adiwiyata program, which aims to instill environmental values in students from an early age. By focusing on the development of the Environmental Care and Culture Movement in Schools (PBLHS), Adiwiyata pilot schools can play an active role in building students' awareness and skills to apply the principles of sustainability and good environmental management in their daily lives. This community service activity aims to provide mentoring to teachers and school officials in the development and implementation of PBLHS integrated into the school curriculum and culture. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, this activity is carried out through several stages, including preparation, implementation, evaluation, and sustainability. The target of this service is 50 Adiwiyata pilot elementary schools in Malang Regency. The results of this community service demonstrate that Adiwiyata pilot schools are able to develop and develop PBLHS programs tailored to the unique characteristics and needs of each school, thereby creating a sustainable school environment. This program is expected to have a positive impact on the development of environmental education.

Abstract

Scientific work skills are used to build physics knowledge correctly and logically. which can be developed through practical activities. However, not all schools have adequate practical equipment. Observations show that SMA Islam Diponegoro still does not have a physics laboratory and experimental equipment is still limited in number and type, so practical activities are rarely carried out, which has an impact on students' scientific work skills that have not developed optimally. Therefore, community service activities were carried out in the form of Open Lab, which aims to provide students with experience in conducting practicals through concrete practical media and virtual PhET. Community service activities were carried out in the form of training and mentoring for practicals attended by 20 students. Based on the results of the scientific work ability assessment rubric, it was found that students' abilities were in the good category with an average scientific work ability score of 75.35. Indicators of scientific work ability that developed very well after the practicum were observation, implementation of the practicum, and presentation of results. However, aspects of data analysis and evaluation still need to be improved because the scores were lower than other indicators.

Abstract

The growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including education. ElevenLabs Generative Voice AI is an AI technology capable of generating high-quality synthetic speech from written text, which especially can be used for auditory learning materials in schools. Hence, this community service aims to introduce the use of ElevenLabs technology as a tool for creating innovative media for elementary school teachers. Approximately twelve (12) teachers at SDN Pucangsongo, Malang regency, participated in a training program that allowed them to learn how to create AI-based educational media. Evaluation results also showed that the teacher's ability to understand how to create learning media using ElevenLabs improved significantly. The average evaluation score rose from 63.9 – 80, and most participants showed positive attitude towards the training program. Through this activity, the teachers now recognize that generative voice AI technology can offer a practical solution to address the limited audio resources in elementary schools.
