<![CDATA[Huta Gabe Aeksorseang studio is a traditional art studio that helped preserve traditional culture, especially the Batak Toba. The presence of this art studio has stimulated creative economy activities within the region. The problems currently being faced by the Huta Gabe Aeksorseang studio have not been made optimal yet. Products that had been sold nationally but had not well known to many other Indonesian consumers due to there is no product brand. The daily activities of this art gallery cultivate traditional music. This community services is carried out with a focus on solving partner problems by providing appropriate science and technology for the local community, especially for the management of the Studio. The method of making traditional musical instruments is still not optimal so that the resulting sound quality is not correctly produced. Science and technology has been given to partners related to production and marketing techniques that have been carried out. We also provided online marketing strategies to assist the online marketing activities of the Huta Gabe Aeksorseang studio. Technical equipment is also provided to help partners improve product quality and product competitiveness with lower production costs. Heavy equipment such as welding machines in the area makes production costs high. With the help of the equipment provided, partners will be more efficient in production, thereby increasing partner competitiveness.]]>

<![CDATA[Communicable disease, COVID-19 easily spreads through the respiratory droplets. Therefore, WHO recommends the physical distancing policy to prevent the transmission. However, the transmission of SARS-CoV2 virus causing COVID-19 occurred not only by human interaction, but also the things that had been touched by the people suffered COVID-19 have potential as the media for the virus transmission. Then, it is necessary to anticipate the worries in the form of correct wash hand application or using hand sanitizer. The activities that had been done were giving an education about the communicable disease, COVID-19, how it is spread and how to prevent it; performing correct hand wash and preparation of alcohol based hand sanitizer in the form of gel to the society of Belawan I neighborhoods, Medan Belawan District, Medan City. The survey analysis results showed that the community service that had been conducted in Belawan I neighborhoods gave benefits and elevated approximately 49.5% the knowledge of the community regarding the COVID-19 and hand sanitizer preparation.]]>

<![CDATA[Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) was declared a pandemic (a disease whose spread has spread throughout the world) by WHO on March 9, 2020. This disease can be transmitted to everyone regardless of age and has a very detrimental impact both in the health and economic fields. Cempedak Lobang Village is one of the villages in Serdang Bedagai Regency which was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the precautions that can be taken to reduce the spread of Covid-19 is the application of physical distancing and maintaining hand hygiene through the use of a hand sanitizer. However, the availability of hand sanitizers has become scarce and very expensive so that it is difficult for the public to reach. In addition, there is a lack of compliance and public awareness of the importance of implementing physical distancing, using masks and maintaining personal hygiene, so it is feared that the spread of the virus will become more widespread. This community service is beneficial in providing one solution and alternative to the community of this village in solving health problems that are currently endemic. The team will disseminate and educate on how to prevent Covid-19 infection. Hand sanitizers provided with formulas according to WHO standards and prepared by the community services team as well as educating on how to use and manufacture them so that they can stimulate the community to make their hand sanitizers.]]>

<![CDATA[Having to stay at home and disconnected from their social world during the Covid-19 lockdown is stressful for many people, including students. The current paper reports the application of a deep breathing relaxation technique among students from the Faculty of Psychology Universitas Sumatera Utara, to regulate their stress levels at home. Twenty-five students participated in this intervention program. We trained them in a deep breathing relaxation technique and asked them to practice the technique twice a day, in the morning and the evening. We followed their progress for five consecutive days, in which participants filled a stress diary twice a day, in the morning and the evening. Based on the diary, a feedback by a psychologist was sent to each individual participant the next day. We assessed the effectiveness of the intervention program by comparing the students' perceived stress at the pre-intervention phase compared to their stress level at the post-intervention phase. The results showed a significant and meaningful impact of the intervention program, in which students reported lower perceived stress at the post-intervention compared to the pre-intervention phase.]]>

<![CDATA[One of pandemic effect is that people being afraid to have their regular dental treatment and tends to have their own medication. Dentist and dental nurses as workerin public health provider also afraid on doing dental treatment on a reason highly contamination and transmission of the virus. Delaying aerosol generating procedures is found as the only choice, except for emergency case. However, the uncertainty of pandemic era and dental treatment needs, urge the health workers to have innovation in dental treatment service.  Using mobile dental clinic Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Langkat di Puskesmas Sambirejo is a solution. The implementation of service activities in mobile dental clinic are mainly in self Protection equipment, SOP in Standart Precaution, sterlisation and aseption and also patients admision flow in pandemic era for health care providers as a way to improve their knowledge in handling patient in pandemic era. The delay of action in dental procedur can be solved by facilitating mobile dental clinic according to standard health protocol. Instead of only reaching rural area, this mobile dental clinic can also be used in narrow building with limited space. The SOP protocol can also be used by dentis and dental nurses to control infection in mobile dental clinic. This article tries to support government in raising the degree of mouth and dental health services in pandemic era.]]>

<![CDATA[Tourism is an effort by the Karo Regency Government to increase the potential of a region that is experiencing very rapid development. The development of tourism will have an influence on the life of the local community, that is, it can affect various aspects of life, be it social, economic, cultural, religious, language and also the environment. The extent of the influence of tourism development on aspects of life can be studied independently. In addition, tourism also plays a major role in expanding employment opportunities, encouraging activities of supporting industries, introducing natural and cultural beauty that is inseparable from a sense of increasing brotherhood in the national and international environment. This is because tourism itself creates multiple economic impacts, namely direct, indirect, secondary impacts, which provide opportunities for business growth and the role of local communities in the tourism sector. This research will discuss about determining the shortest route of tourist attractions in Karo Regency. The result achieved is the optimization of travel routes on tourist objects in Karo district so that the Karo Regency tourism office can provide more information regarding the location of tourist objects that will be traversed by local and foreign tourists.]]>

<![CDATA[Community Service Activities carried out by the Service Team are intended to achieve the output target of reducing the spread of covid-19 in the people of Laut Dendang Village. The community service team conducts outreach regarding improving the quality of health and education in this village, in this case the Village Head, Hamlet Head, and PKK women become participants in this outreach, so that further all participants can socialize the issue of the importance of preventing Covid-19 and how to do it. prevention. It is hoped that the improvement of the quality of health in this village can be a lesson for the village community to understand and implement all knowledge or rules in reducing or stopping the spread of this deadly virus. <![CDATA[The Covid-19 pandemic that occurred in Indonesia, especially in Medan City, made people lose their jobs and had to survive to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. On average, residents who live close to infection-prone areas flock to buy masks and hand sanitizers. The supplies of hand sanitizers at various pharmacies has run out, even though the prices have gone up even ten times. This activity aims to socialize and train the making of hand sanitizers from Eucalyptus citriodora plants as an economic opportunity in the New Normal Era. The solution method is carried out by providing preparation training, extraction, and economic analysis of the availability of raw materials and the feasibility of Hand sanitizer products to the community in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village, Medan Denai District, Medan City. The results that have been achieved are hand sanitizer products made by the community and have high entrepreneurial skills in this New Normal Era. This activity is beneficial for the community, especially in terms of increasing knowledge and skills in making Hand sanitizers that can be applied to improve the economy during the Covid-19 Pandemic.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on SEARO (South-East Asia Region) data in 2013, shows that around 70-95% of dental caries occurs in school-age children. This shows the importance of knowledge of dental and oral health to make efforts to prevent dental and oral diseases. The knowledge of parents and teachers has an important role in influencing children's attitudes and behavior in maintaining oral and dental hygiene. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of parents, teachers, and students of SD Tunas Harapan Islam Medan about oral health. This study used a pretest questionnaire for initial data collection, then counseling on dental and oral health to parents and teachers and for final data collection a postest questionnaire was used. The results of the dependent T test showed that there was a difference in the average results of the questionnaire before and after counseling for parents and teachers (p = 0.0001) and students (p = 0.0001). So it can be concluded that there is an effect of doing counseling on the level of knowledge of parents, teachers and students about oral health. Counseling on oral health at SD Tunas Harapan Islam Medan can provide an understanding of the importance of maintaining oral health and of course it can be passed on to families and the surrounding environment so that the environment of SD Tunas Harapan Islam Medan can be free from dental and oral diseases.]]>
