Abstract

Eco-enzyme is an environmentally friendly product made from fruit peels, vegetables, and sugar, which are fermented with water for three months. It can be used for cleaning, deodorizing, pest control, soil improvement, and water conservation. Eco-enzyme has various benefits, particularly in the production of disinfectants. It can also serve as an alternative to chemical substances that are harmful to the environment and human health. The raw materials for eco-enzyme come from organic waste that is no longer utilized and is often considered useless. Organic materials such as fruit peels or vegetable scraps can be used as raw materials in the production of eco-enzyme. The practice of producing and utilizing eco-enzyme in Islamic boarding schools, particularly at Ma’had Tafaqquh, is still not widely known or thoroughly studied. Therefore, this community service project aims to empower students by organizing training or workshops on the process of making eco-enzyme as a natural disinfectant. This community service activity is expected to contribute to the greenery and cleanliness of the pesantren environment while educating students about environmental awareness programs in society, particularly within Islamic boarding schools. Following the implementation of the community service activity, it was observed that the students were highly enthusiastic about participating in the training and workshop. Ma’had Tafaqquh is committed to maintaining a green and clean pesantren environment through proper waste management.

Abstract

Pendidikan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) memerlukan pendekatan inovatif, terutama dalam pemanfaatan teknologi untuk mendukung proses belajar-mengajar. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan adalah penggunaan aplikasi Alfabeth, sebuah platform edukatif yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca, menulis, dan berkomunikasi bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan dan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru serta tenaga pendidik di SLB mengenai penggunaan aplikasi Alfabeth dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini mencakup tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, serta evaluasi terhadap efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi dalam mendukung pembelajaran. Sosialisasi dilakukan melalui seminar dan diskusi interaktif untuk mengenalkan fitur serta manfaat aplikasi. Pelatihan praktik diberikan dalam bentuk demonstrasi penggunaan serta simulasi langsung oleh para peserta. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan umpan balik dari peserta serta mengamati perubahan dalam metode pengajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Alfabeth mampu meningkatkan interaksi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam belajar. Guru merasa terbantu dalam menyampaikan materi dengan lebih menarik dan interaktif. Selain itu, siswa lebih termotivasi dalam mengenal huruf dasar. Dengan adanya pelatihan ini, diharapkan para pendidik dapat lebih optimal dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mendukung perkembangan akademik dan sosial siswa berkebutuhan khusus di SLB.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in Indonesia’s economy but continue to face various challenges, particularly in accessing digital markets. This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance MSME capacity through the Digital Market Ecosystem strategy, with a case study on the Social Forestry Business Group (KUPS) Mulyasari. The method employed is a service learning approach based on experiential learning, involving needs analysis, socialization, training, mentoring, and program evaluation. The results indicate an increased understanding of digital market ecosystem concepts, digital marketing strategies, and digital financial systems among participants. Specifically, 80% of participants were able to explain the key components of the Digital Market Ecosystem, 90% understood its benefits, and 70% could select suitable digital platforms for their products. Furthermore, 90% of participants had active accounts on marketplaces or business social media, and 85% could utilize digital payment applications. The implementation of digital marketing positively impacted MSME visibility and operational efficiency. This program demonstrates that digital transformation can enhance MSME competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic business ecosystem.

Abstract

Waste-related environmental pollution can affect health and needs to be addressed seriously.   These days, the majority of organic waste is turned into eco-enzymes and fertilizer.   In addition, insects can be used as bioconversion agents to control organic waste in homes.   The Black Soldier Fly, or BSF fly, is the insect.   The ladies of the Aisyiyah Branch in Medan Denai, North Sumatra Province, are the partners of the Muhammadiyah Development Partnership Program (PKPM) in this project.  By using maggots as a bioconversion agent and teaching Aisyiyah mothers about the use of maggots as fish and poultry feed, the program aims to turn household trash into a product of economic value, which should raise household income.  The technique employed in this activity began with socialization followed by maggot cultivation training for mothers. Direct interviews were conducted as a way to evaluate activities for Aisyiyah mothers. The results achieved were an increase in knowledge about maggots by around 75% and 25% of Aisyiyah mothers understood maggot cultivation.

Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing teaching materials at SMA and SMK Syakhyakirti Palembang provides convenience and introduces new innovations in the field of education. AI is a technology with tremendous potential to improve the quality of education by offering interactive, engaging, and relevant teaching materials tailored to students' needs. In this study, data was collected through interviews with teachers, observations of the learning process, and analysis of teaching materials created with the assistance of AI technology. The results of the study show that AI can enhance efficiency in the creation of teaching materials, provide a broader range of content, and enable customization of materials based on students' abilities and interests. Additionally, AI supports teachers in monitoring students' learning progress through more accurate and structured data analysis. By implementing this technology, the learning process at SMA and SMK Syakhyakirti Palembang has become more effective, modern, and innovative. This study also provides important recommendations, including training for teachers in the use of AI, the development of supportive technological infrastructure, and strategies for integrating AI into teaching practices. These efforts are expected to be adopted by other educational institutions to foster sustainable improvements in the quality of education.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of a web-based information system for Karang Taruna Parangloe, a youth organization in Kelurahan Lanna, Parangloe District. The initiative was driven by the need to improve information dissemination, which previously relied on traditional methods like WhatsApp groups. While convenient, this approach had limitations in reaching a broader audience and effectively promoting organizational activities. To address these challenges, a Community Partnership Program (PKM) was carried out in four key stages: observation, socialization and training, technology implementation, and evaluation. During the observation phase, it became clear that the organization lacked an official platform for sharing updates and announcements. This was followed by socialization and training sessions, aimed at improving digital literacy among members, equipping them with the skills needed to manage and utilize a web-based system.The technology implementation phase focused on developing and launching the organization's official website, https://karangtarunaparangloe.com. Designed as a comprehensive information hub, the website includes a user guide to help administrators manage content effectively. The evaluation phase showed significant improvements in members' understanding and technical skills, with average post-test scores rising from 62 to 85. More than just a tool for sharing information, the website has helped enhance the organization's image and boost community engagement. This initiative demonstrates the power of digital transformation in empowering youth organizations and strengthening communication within communities. It also serves as an inspiring example for other organizations looking to adopt digital solutions to streamline operations and enhance their outreach efforts.

Abstract

Resun Village, Lingga Regency, is a coastal area with preserved mangrove forest potential, but the utilization of mangrove fruits such as Sonneratia caseolaris (pedada) is still limited. This activity aims to empower the community through processing pedada fruit into dodol as a local food product with economic and ecological value. The methods used include socialization, dodol making training, organoleptic testing, proximate analysis, and product packaging design. Dodol is made from pedada fruit juice which is boiled and mixed with additional ingredients such as sugar, coconut milk, and glutinous rice flour, then cooked for more than 3 hours. Organoleptic tests by 59 panelists showed the highest level of preference for aroma (2.90) and taste (2.34), while texture received the lowest score (1.68). The results of the proximate test showed that dodol met the quality standards of SNI 01-2986-1992 with a water content of 2.84%, fat 2.84%, protein 2.32%, ash 0.44%, and carbohydrate 68.34%. This activity also succeeded in increasing public awareness of mangrove conservation and forming local business groups based on non-timber forest products.   Keywords: Proximate analysis, Resun Village, Mangrove dodol, Community empowerment, Sonneratia caseolaris, Organoleptic test

Abstract

Masyarakat Dusun I Pasir Rambah, Rokan Hulu, Riau menghadapi keterbatasan akses terhadap tempat ibadah karena lokasi mushola sebelumnya jauh dari permukiman. Hal ini menjadi masalah utama dalam mendukung kegiatan ibadah harian warga. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk merencanakan pembangunan mushola baru yang lebih strategis dan mudah dijangkau serta berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi survei lokasi, diskusi dengan warga setempat, penyusunan desain mushola, dan sosialisasi rencana pembangunan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah berupa dokumen perencanaan lengkap, gambar perspektif musholla, analisis struktur dan spesifikasi teknis. Perencanaan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman bagi masyarakat dalam mewujudkan pembangunan mushola yang nyaman, kokoh, dan fungsional sesuai kebutuhan lingkungan sekitar.

Abstract

Politeness in language and appreciation of literature are important aspects in the formation of the character of the younger generation, especially in the era of globalization that is vulnerable to the degradation of cultural values. This community service aims to increase the awareness of students of SMA Negeri 3 Gowa Regency of the importance of polite speech and understanding of cultural values ​​through literary works. The methods used include interactive training, group discussions, and analysis of literary texts based on local wisdom. The results show a significant increase in students' ability to appreciate literature and the application of politeness in language in everyday interactions. This activity proves that the literary and cultural approach is effective in instilling noble values ​​in the younger generation. Thus, this program is not only relevant for character education but also supports the preservation of local culture among students.

Abstract

This community service implements the Memorandum of Understanding between Amikom Purwokerto University and Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU), Thailand. This community service initiative emphasises the importance of learning the Indonesian culture and language. This topic is important because HCU English study program students interact and communicate with students from other countries, including Indonesia. The training materials cover Indonesian culture, including knowledge of Indonesian traditions, customs, habits, traditional cuisine, traditional clothing, and the Indonesian language. In addition, this training also explains the position and role of English in Indonesia. During the training, participants learn and practice simple Indonesian language to communicate lightly with Indonesians in person and via social media. After completing the training, based on the evaluation provided via Google Forms, participants gain more knowledge and understanding of Indonesian culture and language.
