Abstract

The quality of education in non-urban areas faces many challenges, such as limited resources and a shortage of competent instructors in their fields. However, student achievement in the Indonesian Madrasah Olympics (OMI) is an important focus in improving student competitiveness. This study aims to examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the OMI intensive guidance program and its impact on student achievement at MI Miftahul Ulum Sumber Jaya, a consistently high-achieving non-urban madrasah. This exploratory case study uses qualitative methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participatory observation, and document studies in the form of test questions, participant cards, certificates, and championship trophies. The unit of analysis was the implementation of guidance at the madrasah. The results showed that strict selection, structured material reinforcement, increased student motivation, and active collaboration between teachers and parents were the main supporting factors. Obstacles such as limited guidance time and a lack of competent mentors could be overcome through flexible scheduling. This program had a positive impact on increasing student motivation, discipline, and academic achievement in the OMI competition. These findings emphasize the importance of differentiated learning and school-family cooperation in improving the quality of education in non-urban madrasahs. This study provides practical contributions to the development of effective Olympic guidance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan bentukpematuhan maksim kesantunan berbahasa sertafungsi pragmatik kesantunan dalam komentarwarganet pada video TikTok @Dokterdetektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptifkualitatif dengan data berupa komentar warganet pada empat video viral akun @Dokterdetektif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, pencatatan, dan pembacaan komentar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pematuhanmaksim kesantunan meliputi enam maksim menurutLeech (1993), yaitu maksim kebijaksanaan, penghargaan, kemurahan, kerendahan hati, kecocokan, dan kesimpatian. Dari enam maksimtersebut, maksim penghargaan dan kesimpatian paling dominan digunakan oleh warganet. Fungsi pragmatikyang muncul meliputi fungsi ekspresif, direktif, representatif, dan komisif. Temuan ini memperlihatkanbahwa meskipun media sosial bersifat bebas, warganet tetap menunjukkan kesadaran berbahasasantun dalam konteks digital. Kata Kunci: kesantunan berbahasa, komentarwarganet, pragmatik, TikTok.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga pernapasan sederhana dalam model PJBL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi organ pernapasan pada manusia di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan model ADDIE dengan desain eksperimen kelompok kontrol pretes-postes digunakan dalam eksperimen lapangan. Tiga puluh siswa kelas lima SDIT Fadhilah Pekanbaru berpartisipasi dalam pengumpulan sampel eksperimen lapangan secara acak. Alat bantu pernapasan sederhana memiliki persyaratan yang sangat valid, sebagaimana dibuktikan oleh tingkat kelayakan validasi ahli media sebesar 85,00% dan validasi ahli materi sebesar 90,00%. Dengan kategori sangat valid, hasil uji coba terbatas menghasilkan persentase 80,25%. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar meningkat, menurut temuan uji coba lapangan. Hasil belajar rata-rata kelas eksperimen, yang awalnya 46,25 menjadi 80,45 dengan kenaikan 34,20, menunjukkan peningkatan ini. Pada kelas kontrol peningkatan hanya sebesar 20,03 semula 50,05 menjadi 70,08. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan keterampilan proses memperlihatkan 15,71 untik dikelas eksperimen dan 8,66 untuk dikelas kontrol, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pengembangan alat peraga pernapasan sederhana dalam model PJBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi organ pernapasan pada manusia di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of the tahfidzul Qur’an program in improving students’ memorization quality at MI Miftahul Jannah Duduksampeyan Gresik. The study emphasizes the importance of learning the Qur’an from an early age as an effort to shape a Qur’anic generation, although challenges remain, such as limited fluency in reading among some students. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, tahfidz teachers, and students. The findings indicate that the tahfidz program plays a significant role in fostering students’ religiosity, discipline, and memorization skills, with tahfidz teachers serving as guides, motivators, role models, and evaluators. Supporting factors include interest, talent, intelligence, and motivation, while inhibiting factors consist of weak mastery of makharijul huruf, lack of patience, and low commitment in memorization. This research contributes theoretically to the development of Islamic education management and provides empirical insights into the implementation of the tahfidzul Qur’an program in Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization efforts in utilizing the SISPENA-PDM application to support the school accreditation process in East Java Province. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the implementation of SISPENA-PDM contributes to enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and accountability in the school accreditation process. Nevertheless, its application still encounters several challenges, both technical, such as limited internet connectivity, and non-technical, including the low level of digital literacy among teachers and school operators. Optimization strategies include continuous training, infrastructure improvement, the development of more user-friendly application features, and intensive technical assistance. The study concludes that the optimal use of SISPENA-PDM can effectively and sustainably improve the quality of school accreditation in East Java.

Abstract

Language is a medium and means of communication used to convey information to the other person, enabling a smooth conversation. The purpose of this study was to understand the basic understanding of language in children and to explain various theories of child language development. The method used was a descriptive qualitative approach, incorporating a literature review. This approach was used to analyze existing theories in depth based on relevant written materials. The results of the study indicate that children's language is the primary means of communication that develops from birth and goes through various stages of development, from pre-language expression to the ability to master complex language structures. Understanding the nature and theories of child language development is crucial for teachers and parents so they can provide appropriate support at the child's developmental stage. This supports the optimal maturity of children's language skills.

Abstract

The importance of diagnostic assessment as a basis for designing adaptive learning in elementary schools. Although the Independent Curriculum emphasizes diagnostic assessment, its implementation in the field still faces obstacles, particularly related to teacher understanding, instrument development, and implementation of non-cognitive assessments. This study aims to describe the implementation of diagnostic assessment as a basis for learning implementation at SD Negeri 55/I Sridadi. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested using triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The results showed that teachers had routinely implemented non-cognitive diagnostic assessments at the beginning of the lesson and throughout the learning process through behavioral observations, simple questionnaires, and interviews. The assessment results were used to map students' motivations, interests, attitudes, and learning barriers, which became the basis for adjusting learning strategies, student grouping, and providing mentoring. Obstacles encountered included limited time, teachers' ability to develop instruments, and administrative burdens. This study confirms that diagnostic assessment plays a strategic role in realizing more personalized, inclusive, and effective learning in elementary schools

Abstract

Reading is a major aspect of language skills, especially in the world of education. Early reading activities have been introduced from the elementary education level starting from grade I, but there are still many students who are not fluent in reading. Therefore, a study was conducted aimed at determining the reading ability of grade I students, and the effectiveness of using fiction story books on students' reading abilities at SDN Padarek III. This study used a qualitative analysis method with observation and interview techniques. The results of the study showed that many of the reading abilities of grade I students at SDN Padarek III were still not fluent in reading, but after using fiction story books, students became enthusiastic in learning. This proves that fiction story books are effective in learning to improve early reading abilities in grade I students and have a positive impact on students.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter merupakan upaya strategis untuk membentuk etika siswa dengan menanamkan nilai-nilai moral seperti tanggung jawab, kejujuran, dan empati, serta membekali mereka dengan keterampilan berpikir moral yang matang dan mandiri. Tujuannya adalah potensi afektif siswa sebagai individu yang berkembang tidak hanya cerdas secara intelektual tetapi juga bermoral dan bertanggung jawab sebagai warga negara yang peduli terhadap masyarakat dan lingkungan. Studi literatur ini mengkaji karakter peran pendidikan dalam membentuk etika siswa, faktor pendukung seperti teladan guru, budaya sekolah yang positif, dan kolaborasi dengan keluarga, serta tantangan yang dihadapi, termasuk pengaruh negatif media digital dan ketidaksistenan program. Dengan pendekatan holistik dan integratif, karakter pendidikan dapat membentuk siswa yang berintegritas dan mampu bertindak etis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari serta menghadapi tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks.

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires students to master Digital Literacy and Critical Thinking Skills, which are very important in learning Economics. This research aims to examine the influence of the Utilization of the Blooket Game Fishing Frenzy Mode and Digital Literacy, both partially and simultaneously, on the Critical Thinking Skills of Class X students at SMAN 3 Samarinda, who face the problem of conventional learning. This research, using a quantitative approach and associative research type, was conducted at SMAN 3 Samarinda, involving 68 Class X students as a sample determined through simple random sampling. Data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression, F-test, t-test, and the Coefficient of Determination (R2) with the aid of SPSS. The results of the research indicate that both the Utilization of Blooket and Digital Literacy have a significant partial influence on Critical Thinking Skills. Simultaneously, the two variables also have a significant influence on the dependent variable. It is concluded that the integration of Blooket as a gamification medium and the strengthening of Digital Literacy are proven to be effective and relevant in improving students' Critical Thinking Skills as an essential 21st-century competence.
