Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kinerja dosen berdasarkan persepsi mahasiswa pada Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris Universitas HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar dengan mengadaptasi lima dimensi kualitas layanan (SERVQUAL), yaitu reliability, assurance, responsiveness, empathy, dan tangibles. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain survei, melibatkan 42 mahasiswa sebagai responden yang dipilih dari kelompok mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti perkuliahan dengan dosen-dosen yang dinilai; data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket tertutup skala Likert lima poin yang memuat item-item kinerja dosen yang telah dipetakan ke dalam lima dimensi SERVQUAL. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui perhitungan rata-rata (mean) dan persentase tiap dimensi, kemudian diturunkan menjadi Respondent Achievement Level (RAL) dan Customer/Student Satisfaction Index (CSI) untuk menggambarkan tingkat pencapaian dan kepuasan mahasiswa terhadap kinerja dosen pada masing-masing dimensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh dimensi SERVQUAL berada pada kategori kepuasan tinggi hingga sangat tinggi, dengan nilai mean di atas 4,0 (skala 1–5) dan CSI di atas 85% untuk semua dimensi; reliability memiliki CSI tertinggi (≈90,6%), diikuti assurance dan empathy (≈88%), responsiveness (≈87,2%), dan tangibles (≈86%). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keandalan dosen dalam menyiapkan dan melaksanakan perkuliahan serta jaminan mutu akademik (penguasaan materi dan keadilan evaluasi) merupakan kekuatan utama persepsi mahasiswa, sementara daya tanggap, empati, dan pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran juga dipersepsikan sangat baik namun tetap menyimpan ruang untuk perbaikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar program studi mempertahankan praktik pengajaran yang telah dinilai sangat baik, sekaligus memperkuat kebijakan dan program pengembangan dosen pada aspek disiplin waktu, intensitas komunikasi dan bimbingan akademik, serta optimalisasi penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, sehingga kualitas layanan akademik dan kepuasan mahasiswa dapat terus ditingkatkan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of discovery learning integration assisted by interactive PPT on science process skills in elementary school students. The approach used in this study is quantitative with the Quasi-Experimental Design method. The research design uses Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all grade VI at SDN 1 Sukadana Baru, totaling 46 students. The sampling technique used saturated sampling. Data collection techniques used tests in the form of essay questions and non-tests in the form of observation sheets. The prerequisite test for data analysis used normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing, namely simple linear regression tests. The results showed that F count = 17.405 with a significance of 0.001, which means 0.001 <0.05 so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, it can be concluded that there is an effect of discovery learning integration assisted by interactive PPT on science process skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas dinamika Islam Asia Tenggara kontemporer abad ke-21 melalui studi pendidikan sejarah atas konflik bernuansa agama di Thailand Selatan yang berakar pada pluralitas etnis, agama, dan relasi kuasa negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis konflik Patani sebagai produk sejarah panjang marginalisasi dan kebijakan nasionalisme homogen, serta menempatkannya sebagai materi reflektif dalam pembelajaran sejarah Islam Asia Tenggara. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kepustakaan (library research) dan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis, melalui penelusuran literatur historis, kebijakan negara, dan kajian kontemporer menggunakan reflexive thematic analysis. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa konflik di Thailand Selatan tidak dapat direduksi sebagai isu radikalisme semata, melainkan berkaitan erat dengan hilangnya kedaulatan Kesultanan Patani, kebijakan asimilasi budaya dan pendidikan, serta marginalisasi struktural terhadap masyarakat Melayu Muslim Patani. Temuan penelitian menegaskan bahwa Islam berfungsi sebagai identitas sosial, memori kolektif, dan simbol resistensi terhadap dominasi negara, sementara pendidikan baik sebagai instrumen negara maupun ruang resistensi kultural memegang peran kunci dalam pembentukan konflik. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan pentingnya pendekatan pendidikan sejarah yang kritis, multiperspektif, dan empatik untuk membangun kesadaran historis, memperkuat pemahaman multikultural, serta mendorong narasi perdamaian dalam kajian Islam Asia Tenggara kontemporer.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of locus of control and self-regulation on moral disengagement in first-year students at Al-Azhar Indonesia University (UAI). Moral disengagement is a psychological mechanism that allows individuals to abdicate moral responsibility for harmful actions. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design and purposive sampling. The instrument consisted of valid and reliable locus of control, self-regulation, and moral disengagement scales. Multiple linear regression analysis showed that locus of control and self-regulation simultaneously had a significant effect on moral disengagement. However, partially, only self-regulation had a significant negative effect, while locus of control had no significant effect. The findings indicate that self-regulation is the dominant factor in suppressing moral disengagement in first-year students. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed for the development of psychologically based interventions in higher education.

Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of journalistic language use in the online media Batamnews. The research data source comes from news published in the June edition of Batamnews. The data studied are words and sentences contained in the news. Data collection techniques used include documentation and hermeneutics. The data analysis technique applied is content analysis, which is carried out through the stages of reading, analyzing, describing, and concluding the forms of journalistic language use in the online media Batamnews. This study aims to describe how journalistic language is used in the media. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, in which the researcher acts as the main instrument, assisted by a data analysis guideline table. The results show that there are 21 news items in the June edition that do not fully comply with journalistic language rules. This nonconformity is found in the aspect of the use of short and concise language, straightforward, clear, and populist.

Abstract

The low problem-solving ability of elementary school students remains a major issue in mathematics learning, mainly due to teacher-centered instruction and limited use of innovative learning media. This study aims to examine the effect of the inquiry learning model assisted by Lupika media on fourth-grade students’ problem-solving ability. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group. The participants were fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Karangjati 04, divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through problem-solving ability tests, student response questionnaires, and observation sheets of learning implementation. The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test and simple linear regression analysis. The results indicate a significant difference in problem-solving ability between students taught using the inquiry learning model assisted by Lupika media and those taught using conventional learning. Furthermore, the inquiry learning model assisted by Lupika media has a positive and significant effect on students’ problem-solving ability. These findings suggest that integrating inquiry-based learning with educational game media enhances student engagement, conceptual understanding, and logical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems. Therefore, the inquiry learning model assisted by Lupika media is effective and can be used as an alternative learning strategy to improve elementary students’ mathematical problem-solving ability.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang. This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and improvement of learning outcomes in measuring the perimeter and area of plane figures using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach at SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using qualitative and quantitative approaches, conducted in 2 cycles with procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques included observation analysis, tests, and non-tests. The research subjects were the classroom teacher and 28 fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang. The results indicate that: First, the teaching module in cycle I obtained an average percentage score of 87 (Good), increasing to 100 (Very Good) in cycle II. Second, learning implementation from the teacher aspect in cycle I achieved 79 (Sufficient), improving to 95 (Very Good) in cycle II. Third, learning implementation from the student aspect in cycle I scored 79 (Sufficient), rising to 95 (Very Good) in cycle II. Fourth, student learning outcomes in cycle I averaged 76.1 (Poor), increasing to 83.6 (Sufficient) in cycle II. Thus, it can be concluded that the Realistic Mathematics Learning (PMRI) approach can improve student learning outcomes in measuring the perimeter and area of plane figures in fifth grade at SD Negeri 28 Air Tawar Timur Kota Padang.

Abstract

The difficulty of third-grade elementary school students in understanding the arithmetic operations of whole numbers remains a challenge in mathematics learning. Low learning outcomes and conventional learning approaches characterize this. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using multiplication bag media and the jarimatic method in improving elementary school students' learning outcomes. This study was conducted in the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year with a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design, with the type of design used being a nonequivalent control group. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that received treatment in the form of the application of multiplication bag media and jarimatic method, and the control class that used picture media and memorization methods. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. Data analysis used normality tests and homogeneity tests as prerequisite tests, as well as paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests for hypothesis testing. The results showed that the significance value in the independent sample t-test was <0.001, which indicated a difference in mathematics learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. Furthermore, a paired sample t-test showed significant improvements in both classes, with the experimental class's average pretest score of 53.80 increasing to 60.95 on the posttest, while the control class also experienced an increase from a pretest average of 58.16 to 75.86 on the posttest. These findings demonstrate that the integration of multiplication bags and the Jarimatic method is effective

Abstract

The problem in this study was the low learning outcomes of fourth-grade studentsat SD Negeri 1 Mataram. This research aims to investigate the impact ofinteractive PowerPoint media on students' learning outcomes. The researchmethod employs a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control groupdesign. The sample consists of 30 students from class IVA as the control groupand 29 students from class IVB as the experimental group; the sample emergesfrom non-probability sampling via saturated sampling technique. Data collectiontechniques include tests and non-tests. Data analysis employs simple linearregression testing, revealing a 77% effect size for the variable. The results show apositive and significant influence from the application of interactive PowerPointmedia on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in class IVBat SD Negeri 1 Mataram for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the gap between the mandate of Child-Friendly Schools (CFS), which emphasizes holistic well-being, and the implementation of Guidance and Counseling (GC) services in elementary schools, which often remains limited to disciplinary and curative functions. The research aims to analyze the actual role of GC services in enhancing students' psychological well-being at SDN 1 Bujur Tengah Pamekasan, explore multi-stakeholder perceptions, and formulate an integrated model. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with GC teachers, principals, classroom teachers, and students, participant observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal three critical points: first, a dichotomy exists between the ideal GC program structure and daily practices dominated by reactive case handling, thereby neglecting developmental services for all students. Second, perceptions of GC remain fragmented and stigmatized; teachers view its impact casuistically, while student access is limited and often associated with rule-breaking. Third, collaboration between GC teachers and subject teachers occurs incidentally without institutionalized systemic support. The study concludes that GC has not yet functioned optimally as an architect of students' psychological well-being and recommends a Networked GC Model within the CFS Ecosystem. This model emphasizes restructuring programs toward promotive-preventive approaches, strengthening collaboration through formal forums and instruments, and building partnerships with parents to create cohesive systemic support for the well-being of the entire school community.
