Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to examine the implementation of transformational leadership by the principal in strengthening a culture of quality at SD Negeri 232 Tellesang. The study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, with research subjects including the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages, and tested for validity through source and technique triangulation. The results showed that transformational leadership, principals, quality culture, and elementary schools. The dimensions of inspirational motivation and intellectual stimulation were the most dominant aspects in encouraging learning innovation and increasing teacher participation. The implementation of transformational leadership had a positive impact on strengthening the school's culture of quality, which was demonstrated by increased teacher participation in learning communities, improved teacher performance, and the emergence of innovative literacy and digital-based programs. However, the aspect of individual consideration still needs to be improved through more structured mentoring and professional development programs for teachers. This study confirms that the transformational leadership of school principals has a strategic role in building a collaborative, innovative, and continuous improvement-oriented school quality culture.

This qualitative descriptive study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in shaping the character of early childhood at Tadika Al-Fiqh Orchard Taman Setia, Malaysia. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and parents, and documentation analysis. The results show that the teacher's role as a role model (uswah hasanah) and facilitator of Islamic habituation is the key factor directly influencing children's behavior. Parental support, manifested in trust in the institution, communication with teachers, and religious habituation at home, contributes significantly despite time limitations due to work commitments. The study also confirms that the quality of parental attention positively influences children's character development; children who receive adequate attention tend to exhibit more positive attitudes and behavior. Holistically, the synergy between teacher modeling at school and parental support at home albeit in different forms and intensities creates a consistent environment for instilling Islamic character. This research underscores the importance of integrated collaboration between educational institutions and families in effective character building through PAI.

This research aims to produce learning media in the form of interactive H5P-based learning videos with a problem-based learning model that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving mathematical problem-solving abilities on the topic of arithmetic sequences and series for grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Jongkong. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg and Gall development model ((1) Potential and Problems, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Design Validation, (5) Design Revision, (6) Product Trial, (7) Product Revision)). The subjects in this research consist of grade X students with a total of 26 students. The instruments used in this research include expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and posttests. The research results show that the developed learning media obtained an average validity percentage of 88.33% with very valid criteria. The practicality of the media based on teacher and student response questionnaires reached an average percentage of 82.84% with very practical criteria. Meanwhile, the posttest results show that the classical completeness of students reached 84%, which falls into the very effective category. Thus, the development of H5P-based learning media with problem-based learning content is feasible and effective for use in mathematics learning to improve students' problem-solving abilities. Development of instruments is an important step to ensure that the assessment process can be conducted objectively, fairly, and in accordance with educational goals. A good instrument not only measures students' learning outcomes but also assists educators in designing instruction, improving the quality of education, and shaping students' character and abilities in line with current demands. In the context of IPAS (Science and Environmental Studies) learning, especially on the topic of exploring the solar system, an appropriate assessment instrument is needed that can develop students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to analyze the need for developing a two-tier multiple choice assessment instrument on exploring the solar system for students, based on the Bamboozle platform. This research is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and questionnaires distributed to students to identify the need for developing a two-tier multiple choice instrument based on Bamboozle. The subjects of this study consisted of sixth-grade elementary school teachers and students in Toba Regency. Data obtained from interviews, observations, and questionnaires were analyzed descriptively. The results show that educators do not yet have a two-tier multiple choice assessment instrument on exploring the solar system for elementary students based on Bamboozle. Educators recognize the importance of developing a two-tier multiple choice assessment instrument but are still constrained by a lack of ability to develop it. Most students also acknowledge that this two-tier multiple choice assessment instrument is important to develop. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of a two-tier multiple choice assessment instrument on exploring the solar system for elementary students based on Bamboozle is important and needed.

This research aims to examine the efforts of teachers in internalizing Pancasila values to fifth-grade students at SDN 03 Bandar Buat, Padang City. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teachers implement four main efforts: (1) exemplary behavior in daily attitudes and actions, (2) routine habituation activities such as congregational prayers, classroom duties, and reading Juz 'Amma, (3) integration of Pancasila values across all subjects, and (4) individual and collective guidance. The obstacles faced include limited supporting facilities and infrastructure, lack of student awareness in consistently practicing Pancasila values, and external factors such as insufficient parental support and negative peer influences. Solutions implemented include optimizing existing facilities, consistent habituation with positive reinforcement, persuasive and gradual guidance, and intensive communication with parents through parent meetings and class communication groups. The success of internalizing Pancasila values requires continuous collaboration among schools, teachers, students, and parents.

Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) material on human respiratory organs in elementary school requires students to understand abstract concepts that are difficult to observe directly. The use of CapCut-based video media is expected to facilitate student understanding through interactive visualization and audio. The media was developed using the ADDIE model. The results of validation by media experts and subject matter experts were 91.25% and 85%, respectively, which is considered valid. Small, medium, and large group trials obtained acceptable scores of 80%, 89.5%, and 91.9%. Analysis of learning outcomes showed an increase in the average score from 88 (pre-test) to 97.2 (post-test). This media is effective and feasible to use to improve students' understanding interactively and contextually.

This study investigates the profound impact of cyberbullying on the mental health, specifically anxiety and depression levels, and academic performance of adolescents in Indonesian secondary schools. The rapid adoption of digital platforms has unfortunately turned cyberspace into a new arena for aggressive behavior, where the unique characteristics of anonymity, permanence, and broad reach intensify the psychological distress experienced by victims. Findings consistently reveal a significant correlation: victims of cyberbullying report substantially higher levels of anxiety and depression compared to their non-victimized peers. This emotional toll is mediated by factors such as chronic stress, fear of public humiliation, and feelings of helplessness, directly eroding self-esteem and overall psychological well-being. Furthermore, the internalizing disorders resulting from cyberbullying—anxiety and depression—act as crucial mediators, subsequently leading to a decline in academic outcomes, including reduced motivation, impaired concentration, and increased school absenteeism. The study underscores the urgency for holistic and integrated interventions that combine robust digital literacy programs, accessible mental health support within schools, and strengthened parental involvement to effectively mitigate the damaging effects of cyberbullying and safeguard the comprehensive well-being of adolescents.

This research is motivated by the problem of low fine motor skills in early childhood, which can be seen from the suboptimal development of these abilities. This condition occurs due to the limited and inconsistent stimulation provided. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of developmental play on the fine motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Nurul Iman Palembang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and applies a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population consists of all class B children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Nurul Iman, totaling 47 children, with a sample of 27 children. Data collection techniques include observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. The results indicate that developmental play has a significant effect on children's fine motor skills, as shown by the obtained t-count value of -1.939, which falls within the rejection area of Ho. Thus, Ha is accepted, meaning that developmental play positively influences the fine motor skills of children aged 5–6 years at TK IT Nurul Iman Palembang.

The phenomenon of brain rot, characterized by a decline in cognitive engagement due to excessive consumption of digital content, has become a concern in higher education as it potentially affects students’ learning motivation, reading interest, and critical thinking ability. This study aims to analyze the effects of brain rot, learning motivation, and reading interest on students’ critical thinking ability. This research employed a quantitative non-experimental approach with an ex post facto design. The population of the study consisted of students of the Mathematics Education Program at UIN Raden Intan Lampung, with a sample of 149 students selected through cluster random sampling. Data were collected through a critical thinking ability test and questionnaires on brain rot, learning motivation, and reading interest, and were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings indicate that brain rot, learning motivation, and reading interest simultaneously have a significant effect on students’ critical thinking ability, with brain rot having a negative effect, while learning motivation and reading interest have positive effects. These findings highlight the importance of managing digital content consumption wisely and strengthening learning motivation and reading interest as part of efforts to enhance the quality of students’ critical thinking in higher education.

Inclusive education grounded in multicultural values plays a crucial role in providing equitable, child-friendly, and diversity-responsive educational services. This study seeks to examine the role of nature-based schools in implementing inclusive education founded on multicultural values at Islamic Orbit School (iOS) Aceh Besar. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed in this research. The participants involved the school principal, teachers, inclusion facilitators, and students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data organization, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the data was ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings indicate that Islamic Orbit School plays a significant role in fostering inclusive education through the implementation of a curriculum based on the Qur’an and children’s innate potential (fitrah), the development of a child-friendly school environment, and the use of nature-based learning as an instructional approach. Multicultural values cultivated in the learning process include respect for diversity, tolerance, empathy, and collaboration among students, including those with special educational needs. This study concludes that nature-based schools have strong potential to serve as a contextual and meaningful model for integrating inclusive education with multicultural values.
