Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study examines the theology of inclusivism of Karl Rahner, which is rooted in the understanding of God’s grace as universal, yet remains centered on Christ as the culmination of divine revelation. This study aims to analyze how Rahner’s inclusivism interprets salvation in the context of religious pluralism and its implications for the transformation of Christian life and the development of faith education. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, using descriptive-critical analysis of Rahner’s works, interreligious theological literature, and studies on the praxis of Church life. Theological literature in Indonesia remains limited in addressing Rahner, particularly regarding the implementation of inclusivism in Church practices and faith education; therefore, this study seeks to fill this gap. The findings of this study indicate that Rahner’s understanding of universal grace enables the Church to maintain its Christological identity while fostering a dialogical attitude in a pluralistic society. This perspective provides a theological foundation for the transformation of Church praxis and faith education, which emphasizes not only the transmission of doctrine but also the formation of an openness of faith toward human experience and the reality of religious pluralism.

This study examines the partnership between SDN Pelambuan 4 Banjarmasin and PT Trakindo Utama in supporting educational planning at the elementary school level. School–industry partnerships are increasingly recognized as an important strategy to strengthen educational quality through collaboration with external stakeholders. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal, teachers, and related parties involved in the partnership program at SDN Pelambuan 4 Banjarmasin. The findings indicate that the partnership with PT Trakindo Utama has contributed significantly to educational planning through several activities, including teacher training, facilitation of school program development, and provision of infrastructure support through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. The partnership also involves facilitators and external partners who assist schools in developing innovative programs, such as literacy programs, project-based learning, child-friendly school initiatives, and mental health awareness programs. In addition, the collaboration encourages participatory planning processes involving school stakeholders through workshops, brainstorming sessions, and program evaluations. Overall, the partnership has strengthened school programs, improved teachers’ professional capacity, supported educational facilities, and stimulated innovative programs within the school. Therefore, school–industry partnerships can be considered an effective strategy to support educational planning and improve the quality of education at the elementary school level.

This study aims to investigate and describe the pedagogical strategies employed by teachers to enhance students' learning motivation in mathematics within the lower-grade classes of SD Islam Sabilillah Cukir. The primary problem addressed in this research is the common perception among early-grade students that mathematics is a difficult and intimidating subject, which often leads to low engagement, anxiety, and a lack of interest in numerical concepts. To address this issue, a qualitative research methodology with a case study approach was utilized. Data were collected through structured observations, semi-structured interviews with classroom teachers, and extensive documentation of learning activities. The results of the research indicate that teachers implement a multifaceted strategy involving the use of concrete manipulative media, the integration of Islamic values into mathematical contexts, and a consistent reward-and-praise system to build students' confidence. Furthermore, the findings reveal that creating a joyful learning atmosphere through "ice-breaking" activities and game-based learning significantly reduces students' math anxiety and fosters a proactive learning attitude. These strategies not only improve students' focus during lessons but also build a strong foundational interest in mathematics. In conclusion, the teacher's role as a creative facilitator is crucial in transforming abstract mathematical concepts into relatable, enjoyable, and motivating experiences for lower-grade students at SD Islam Sabilillah Cukir.

Public speaking is an essential skill in foreign language learning at the university level. However, many students experience anxiety when they are required to speak or deliver presentations in front of an audience. This anxiety often hinders students’ classroom participation, reduces self-confidence, and negatively affects their speaking performance. This study aims to explore students’ experiences of public speaking anxiety, identify the factors contributing to it, and examine the strategies used by students to cope with this anxiety. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The participants consisted of ten university students who were purposively selected and actively enrolled in speaking courses. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that public speaking anxiety is commonly experienced by students and is mainly caused by limited vocabulary, fear of making grammatical and pronunciation errors, low self-confidence, and concern about negative evaluation from lecturers and peers. The anxiety affects students’ speaking performance, resulting in forgetting content, trembling voices, and loss of focus during speaking activities. To cope with anxiety, students employed various strategies, particularly thorough preparation and repeated practice before speaking, emotional regulation strategies, and the use of supportive learning environments. This study concludes that public speaking anxiety cannot be completely eliminated, but it can be effectively managed through appropriate strategies and supportive classroom conditions.

This study addresses the limited effectiveness of conventional assessment practices in measuring elementary students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in the context of 21st-century learning demands. The research aims to analyze the effectiveness of multiliteracy-based rubrics in assessing and improving students’ critical thinking skills, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of elementary school students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through critical thinking tests and analyzed using the N-Gain formula to determine the level of improvement. The results indicated a significant increase across all indicators: interpretation (N-Gain = 0.7), analysis (0.716), evaluation (0.695), and inference (1.455). These findings demonstrate that multiliteracy rubrics are effective not only as assessment tools but also as instruments to enhance higher-order thinking skills. However, the unusually high N-Gain in inference suggests the need for further validation of scoring procedures. Overall, the integration of multiliteracy rubrics contributes positively to structured, authentic, and meaningful assessment practices in elementary education.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya efektivitas pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di MAN 1 Palembang yang masih didominasi metode konvensional sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan dan variasi hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi Duolingo dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas X. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain eksperimen semu, melibatkan kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Duolingo dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui pre-test dan post-test yang dianalisis menggunakan uji t, sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar yang lebih signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Penggunaan Duolingo juga meningkatkan motivasi, keaktifan, dan kepercayaan diri siswa dalam berlatih kosakata dan keterampilan berbahasa. Dengan demikian, aplikasi Duolingo terbukti efektif sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Arab berbasis digital di lingkungan sekolah.

This study aimed to synthesize and characterize the complex compound tetraamminecopper(II) sulfate [Cu(NH₃)₄]SO₄ based on coordination chemistry principles. The research was conducted using a laboratory experimental method with a simple experimental design. The synthesis was carried out by reacting copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate with concentrated ammonia, followed by the addition of ethanol to induce crystallization and cooling using an ice bath. The resulting crystals were filtered, washed, and dried before further characterization. Data were collected through direct observation of color changes, crystal formation, and solubility behavior, as well as mass measurement to determine the yield. The results showed that the synthesis produced dark blue crystals with a mass of 1.21 g and a yield of 53.1%. The formation of the complex was indicated by a color change from light blue to deep blue due to ligand substitution from water to ammonia. Solubility tests revealed that the compound was soluble in polar solvents (H₂O and NH₄OH) and insoluble in nonpolar solvents (CHCl₃ and ethanol), confirming its ionic and polar nature. These findings were consistent with coordination chemistry theory, indicating that the synthesized compound possessed the expected structural and physicochemical properties.

This study aims to develop a Tri Hita Karana-based digital comic that is feasible, practical, and effective for improving the reading literacy skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D), with a development model that includes needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques included observation, questionnaires, and reading literacy skills tests. The research instruments included validation sheets from material experts and media experts, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the Tri Hita Karana-based digital comic achieved a very good level of feasibility, with validation percentages from material experts of 88% and from media experts of 88%, and a practicality level of 88%. The use of digital comics in learning also demonstrated an improvement in the reading literacy skills of fourth-grade elementary school students. Thus, the Tri Hita Karana-based digital comic is deemed suitable for use as a learning medium to improve students' reading literacy skills.

This study examines the phenomenon of ambiguity in classical Arabic poetry, focusing on the analysis of the phrase “tob tob tobitob” found in the 15th verse of Sawt Safiri Al-Bulbuli by Al-Asma’i. Ambiguity is a linguistic phenomenon that allows for multiple interpretations of a word or phrase, whether semantically or phonologically. Through stylistic and semantic analysis, this research identifies five potential interpretations of the phrase: (1) the sound of an oud (Arabic lute), (2) the beat of a tambourine, (3) the creaking of a roof, (4) the rhythm of a joyful dance, and (5) the cooing of a dove. Each interpretation is explored contextually by analyzing the preceding and following verses, supported by lexical references from Al-Munawwir Dictionary and classical Arabic literary symbolism. The results reveal that the ambiguity in this phrase is not a linguistic flaw, but a deliberate stylistic device employed by the poet to enhance the aesthetic depth and interpretive richness of the poem. Through rhythmic and onomatopoeic sounds, the poet constructs a multilayered space for interpretation that not only stimulates artistic imagination but also reflects the cultural depth and emotional expression of Arabic poetic tradition

This study aims to analyze the transformation of teachers’ teaching practices through the implementation of an active learning approach and its implications for the quality of classroom learning. The background of this study is based on the continued dominance of teacher-centered learning practices, resulting in suboptimal student engagement in the learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design. The research subjects consist of one teacher and 30 secondary school students selected purposively. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis uses an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of active learning is able to encourage changes in teaching practices from being teacher-centered to becoming more participatory. This is marked by increased student engagement in learning, including through discussions, group work, and the ability to express opinions. However, the transformation process does not occur instantly and faces various challenges, such as limited teacher understanding, students’ passive learning habits, and limited instructional time. Nevertheless, reflection and teacher commitment are key factors in supporting the success of this transformation. This study concludes that active learning functions not only as a teaching strategy but also as an approach that promotes a paradigm shift in teaching practices. Therefore, continuous support from both teachers and educational institutions is necessary to improve the overall quality of learning.
