Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sustainability level of horticultural farmers in Kampung Delima Village, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province based on economic, social, environmental, and institutional dimensions. The background of this research is based on the high dependence of the community on the horticultural sector and various challenges such as limited capital, climate change, price fluctuations, and suboptimal institutional support that affect the sustainability of farming activities. This study employed a descriptive quantitative method using a modified RAPFISH (Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries) approach with Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) technique. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation involving 25 respondents consisting of horticultural farmers and representatives of farmer groups. The results show that the sustainability level of horticultural farming is categorized as moderately sustainable, with variations across each dimension, where economic and social dimensions are relatively stronger than environmental and institutional dimensions, which still require improvement. The leverage analysis indicates that the most influential factors include access to capital, price stability, environmentally friendly input use, participation in farmer groups, and support from extension services and government policies. Therefore, the sustainability of horticultural farmers requires integrated efforts through institutional strengthening, capacity building of farmers, and the implementation of sustainable agricultural practices to achieve a resilient and sustainable farming system.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the profitability of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period is influenced by Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Non-Performing Loans (NPL). The importance of profitability as an indicator of bank soundness in managing economic risks, particularly following financial credit relaxation policies, serves as the background of this research. Financial ratio theory and banking management are employed to assess operational effectiveness. Using purposive sampling combined with a descriptive quantitative research approach, this study selected six banks as samples with a total of thirty observations. Secondary data were collected through documentation and literature review from official annual financial reports. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests with SPSS software. The results show that CAR, LDR, and NPL simultaneously have a significant effect on Return on Assets (ROA). Partially, CAR has a positive and significant effect on ROA, while NPL has a significant negative effect. In contrast, LDR does not have a significant effect on profitability in this model. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.695 indicates that the independent variables explain 69.5% of the variation in profitability. Strengthening capital and controlling non-performing loans are essential to maintaining bank financial performance.

Abstract

The research problem focuses on the fluctuations of the Indonesia Composite Index (IHSG) during the 2020–2024 period, which are influenced by macroeconomic indicators such as BI interest rates, exchange rates, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The main issue lies in the presence of contradictory phenomena and the impact of the pandemic on capital market stability. This study aims to analyze and empirically examine the partial and simultaneous effects of these variables on IHSG movements. This research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verificative method. The data used are secondary data, including monthly BI interest rates, USD/IDR exchange rates, inflation rates, and GDP from 2020 to 2024. Data analysis techniques include classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS to evaluate the influence of independent variables on IHSG both partially and simultaneously. The results indicate that the exchange rate and GDP have a significant effect on IHSG movements during the 2020–2024 period. In contrast, BI interest rates and inflation do not show a significant partial effect in this study. Simultaneously, all macroeconomic variables have a significant influence on IHSG. GDP growth serves as a key positive signal that strengthens investor confidence and drives stock price increases. This study concludes that GDP and exchange rates are the dominant factors affecting IHSG during the observed period. It is recommended that investors carefully integrate economic growth indicators and currency stability when making investment decisions. The government should maintain GDP momentum and monetary stability, while future researchers are encouraged to include additional variables such as commodity prices to broaden the analysis of capital market dynamics.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading ability of first-grade students at Tarbiyatul Islam Elementary School, especially in the aspects of letter recognition, pronunciation, reading fluency, and comprehension of simple reading content. This problem is influenced by students' low interest in reading, differences in individual abilities, and the use of conventional learning methods and the lack of utilization of interesting learning media. This condition causes students to be less active and less motivated in participating in reading lessons. Therefore, innovation is needed in the learning process, one of which is through the use of audio-visual media that can combine sound and image elements simultaneously. This study aims to describe the implementation of audio-visual media in reading learning and to determine students' reading abilities after the implementation of the media. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and data validity is tested through triangulation. The results show that the implementation of audio-visual media is carried out through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The use of audio-visual media can increase students' interest, attention, and motivation to learn. Furthermore, students' reading skills improve, as evidenced by increased reading fluency, pronunciation accuracy, appropriate intonation, and increased comprehension of the reading content. Therefore, audio-visual media is an effective alternative learning tool for improving students' reading skills in Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study examines the governance and implementation of Islamic education within Indonesia’s decentralized education system, focusing on West Sumatra, particularly the cities of Padang and Padang Panjang. The transition from a centralized to a decentralized governance structure in 1999 granted local governments greater authority over educational management, enabling them to adapt policies to local socio-religious contexts. This research explores the role of local governments in managing Islamic education across different types of institutions, including public schools, Islamic boarding schools, and pesantren. Adopting a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders such as education officials, school principals, and teachers—as well as through document analysis of relevant government and institutional policies. The findings reveal varied approaches to the implementation of Islamic education across institutional types, reflecting differences in governance structures, curricular integration, and religious orientation. The study also identifies key challenges faced by local authorities, particularly in balancing national curriculum requirements with local Islamic values and institutional autonomy. Despite these challenges, educational institutions demonstrate considerable flexibility and adaptability in responding to decentralization policies. This research highlights the dynamic interaction between policy, local governance, and religious values in shaping the practice of Islamic education in West Sumatra.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Al-‘Ashr theology in empowering young women's economy through APUNA Nasyiatul Aisyiyah. The background of this research is based on the importance of integrating theological values into economic activities to strengthen independence and work ethic among young women. Previous studies have discussed women’s economic empowerment; however, studies linking Al-‘Ashr theology with economic practices within Islamic women’s organizations remain limited. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method, using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The results indicate that the values of Al-‘Ashr theology, including faith, righteous deeds, mutual encouragement in truth, and patience, are internalized in the economic activities of APUNA members. These values contribute to enhancing economic independence, strengthening social solidarity, and shaping the struggle ethos of young women in facing economic challenges.   Keywords: Al-‘Ashr theology, women’s economic empowerment, young women, APUNA, Nasyiatul ‘Aisyiyah   ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi teologi Al-‘Ashr dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi perempuan muda melalui APUNA Nasyiatul Aisyiyah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms of verbal abuse committed by the character Walid in the film Bid'ah and examine the psychological and social impacts it causes on the representation of the victim, viewed from the perspective of Islamic Religious Education. This study employs a qualitative content analysis approach, closely examining the dialogues, scenes, and narrative elements that depict the verbal communication practices of the character Walid in the film Bid’ah. The findings reveal that verbal abuse takes many forms, including intimidation, psychological manipulation, humiliation, the silencing of dissent, the distortion of religious language, and the normalization of symbolic violence. These patterns of behavior do not simply pass as fleeting harm; they settle into the psychological fabric of the victims, shaping a fragile sense of self marked by insecurity, lingering fear, sustained anxiety, and a quiet but persistent burden of guilt. In a broader social sense, they encourage silence, distance individuals from one another, and slowly construct an atmosphere where fear replaces openness within religious learning spaces. From the standpoint of Islamic Religious Education, Walid’s actions reveal a serious departure from the ethical discipline of communication taught in Islam, including hifz al-lisan (restraint of speech), qaulan sadidan (truthful articulation), qaulan ma’rufan (respectful expression), and qaulan layyinan (gentle delivery). Rather than aligning with the purpose of Islamic education—which is to cultivate moral integrity and inner calm—such conduct disrupts and weakens it. In this light, the study argues that language within religious education must be reclaimed as a medium for ethical formation and personal freedom, not reduced to an instrument of control or intimidation.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the 21st century requires innovation in Indonesian language learning, especially in writing skills. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Scramble learning model integrated with Camtasia media on the procedural text writing skills of 7th-grade students at UPT SMPN 27 Medan. The methodology employed was a quantitative experiment using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with a sample of 29 students. Data were collected through essay tests and analyzed using t-test statistics. The results indicated a significant improvement: the pretest average was 49 (poor category), increasing to 66 (good category) in the posttest. Statistical analysis yielded a thitung = 5.57, exceeding ttabel = 2.048 (df=28, α=0.05). These findings confirm that the Scramble model combined with Camtasia media significantly enhances students' ability to organize procedural steps and apply linguistic rules, providing a more interactive and structured learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using seashells as a learning medium in improving the ability of fifth-grade students to create visual art at SDN 24 Dungingi, Gorontalo City. The main problem addressed in this research is the low level of students’ creativity and skills in producing art works. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and creativity tests. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SDN 24 Dungingi. The results of the study indicate a significant improvement in students’ ability to create visual art after the implementation of seashell-based learning media. In the first cycle, 11 students achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM), representing 59%. In the second cycle, the number increased to 18 students, equivalent to 95%. These findings suggest that the use of natural materials such as seashells provides contextual learning experiences, enhances students’ creativity, and encourages active participation in the learning process. Therefore, the use of seashells as a learning medium is proven to be effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in visual arts.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the implementation of Pancasila Education in elementary schools, which is still dominated by conventional methods with limited media use, resulting in less interactive learning that does not accommodate students’ characteristics, who tend to be active and interested in technology-based media. This study aimed to develop an Articulate Storyline 3-based learning media on the topic of mutual cooperation for fourth-grade elementary students that is valid, practical, and effective. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research subjects included expert validators, teachers, and fourth-grade students from three elementary schools, totaling 75 students. The instruments used were validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results showed that the developed media had a very high level of validity, with material validation at 97.1%, language validation at 90.6%, and media validation at 93%. The practicality results based on teacher responses were 95.83% at SDN 13 Batu Gadang, 100% at SD Semen Padang, and 95.83% at SDN 20 Indarung. Student responses were 91.30%, 93.67%, and 95% respectively. The effectiveness of the media was indicated by N-Gain scores of 0.797877847 at SDN 13 Batu Gadang, 0.847663139 at SD Semen Padang, and 0.80152381 at SDN 20 Indarung, all categorized as high. Therefore, the Articulate Storyline 3-based learning media is considered feasible for use in Pancasila Education on the topic of mutual cooperation in fourth-grade elementary schools
