Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between school culture and academic achievement of fifth grade students at SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample consisted of all fifth grade students, totaling 21 respondents with saturated sampling technique. The research instruments were a school culture questionnaire with 24 Likert scale statements and documentation of student report card scores. Data analysis techniques used validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, and simple linear regression with JASP software. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between school culture and students' academic achievement with a significance value of 0.218 greater than 0.05. The coefficient of determination value of 0.079 or 7.9 percent indicates that school culture contributes 7.9 percent to students' academic achievement, while 92.1 percent is influenced by other factors. The regression equation obtained is Y = 92.62 – 0.054 X.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Fun Thinkers Book media based on Play-Based Learning on students’ storytelling skills using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (Nonequivalent Control Group Design). The sample consisted of 44 students, including 24 in the experimental class and 20 in the control class, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests (pretest–posttest) and observation, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with SPSS. The results showed an improvement in storytelling skills in the experimental class from 64.00 to 89.00 (mastery from 42% to 100%), while the control class improved from 56.00 to 71.00 (mastery from 25% to 60%). The t-test indicated a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 and t-count of 4.218 > t-table of 2.018, meaning that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Fun Thinkers Book media based on Play-Based Learning has a significant and positive effect on students’ storytelling skills, as well as increasing their activeness and engagement in learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the experimental method in improving students’ science process skills (SPS), particularly in elementary school science education on the topic of changes in the state of matter. The issue addressed is the low level of students’ scientific skills due to the dominance of conventional teaching methods that do not sufficiently engage students. This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining various national and international articles published between 2022 and 2026. Data collection was conducted through documentation, while data analysis was performed qualitatively by identifying patterns, trends, and research gaps. The results indicate that experiment-based learning consistently exerts a positive and significant influence on the improvement of students’ SPS, encompassing observation skills, classification, hypothesis formulation, experiment execution, and data analysis. Various approaches, such as inquiry-based learning, STEM, guided discovery, and project-based learning, also support the development of higher-order thinking skills and conceptual understanding. However, some studies still have limitations in their design and implementation, such as the absence of a control group and limited integration of technology. Overall, the experimental method has proven effective in developing scientific skills and fostering meaningful learning when supported by appropriate instructional design.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Akidah Akhlak teachers as motivators in building students' disciplinary character at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2, Jambi City, and to identify obstacles and solutions in its implementation. The study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive type through observation, interview, and documentation techniques involving the principal, teachers, and students of grade XI IPS 1 as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that the role of teachers as motivators is realized through providing advice and motivation, role models, habituation, assignments, and the application of educational punishments. These strategies are able to increase students' awareness, responsibility, and discipline, although not evenly distributed among all students. Obstacles faced include differences in family backgrounds, peer influence, and students' unstable emotional conditions. To overcome these problems, teachers apply a persuasive approach, strengthen motivation, and build intensive communication with students and parents. Thus, the role of Akidah Akhlak teachers as motivators has a significant contribution in shaping students' disciplinary character, although it still requires ongoing support and reinforcement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the intentions and functions of illocutionary speech acts in the lyrics of the song “Taruh” by Nadin Amizah. Language, as the primary medium of communication, does not merely function as a tool for conveying information but also serves as a means of performing communicative actions, which can be examined through a pragmatic perspective, particularly the concept of illocutionary speech acts proposed by John Langshaw Austin. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using pragmatic analysis. The data consist of utterances found in the song lyrics, obtained from official sources, and collected through the listening and note-taking technique.The data analysis is based on Austin’s classification of illocutionary speech acts, which includes verdictives, exercitives, commissives, behabitives, and expositives. The findings reveal that the lyrics of “Taruh” contain all five types of illocutionary speech acts with various communicative intentions and functions, namely expressing judgments, directing attitudes, affirming commitments, conveying emotions, and providing explanations. The diversity of these speech acts indicates an integrated meaning that reflects the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, trust, and the speaker’s emotional experiences. Therefore, this study confirms that song lyrics are not only aesthetic in nature but also possess communicative and reflective dimensions in representing human inner experiences.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the writing skills of second-grade students at SDN Semanan 05 Jakarta Barat by applying the Explicit Instruction learning model to write connected upright consonants (p, q, r, x, f). The subjects of this research are 32 students. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques involved observation, writing skills tests, and interviews, which were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The research results show an improvement in each cycle. In cycle I, the average student score was 72 with a learning completeness of 68.75%. In cycle II, the average score increased to 79 with a learning completeness of 90.63%. Additionally, teacher and student activity in cycle II reached 91.67% and 83.33%, respectively. Based on these results, the implementation of the Explicit Instruction model has proven to enhance students' cursive writing skills. This model can be used as an effective alternative for learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis sektor-sektor basis yang ada di Kabupaten Sidoarjo menggunakan metode Location Quotient (LQ) pada data Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) atas dasar harga konstan 2010 periode 2010-2024. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dan data sekunder dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Kabupaten Sidoarjo serta Provinsi Jawa Timur, analisis dilakukan terhadap 17 sektor ekonomi. Hasil analisis LQ menunjukkan bahwa tiga sektor secara konsisten mencatat nilai LQ di atas 1,0 sepanjang periode pengamatan: Sektor Industri Pengolahan (LQ rata-rata 1,71), Sektor Pengadaan Listrik dan Gas (LQ rata-rata 2,82), dan Sektor Transportasi dan Pergudangan (LQ rata-rata 2,58). Sektor Industri Pengolahan mendominasi dengan kontribusi mendekati 52% dari total PDRB pada tahun 2024. Sektor Pengadaan Listrik dan Gas memiliki keunggulan komparatif tertinggi di antara ketiganya, mencerminkan infrastruktur energi yang terkonsentrasi melayani kawasan metropolitan Gerbangkertosusilo. Sektor Transportasi dan Pergudangan ditopang oleh posisi geografis strategis Sidoarjo yang berbatasan dengan Surabaya serta keberadaan Bandara Internasional Juanda. Temuan ini mengonfirmasi teori basis ekonomi, di mana sektor basis berfungsi sebagai penggerak utama pertumbuhan ekonomi regional melalui orientasi ekspor dan efek pengganda pada sektor lainnya. Identifikasi sektor-sektor basis ini memberikan dasar empiris penting bagi pemerintah daerah untuk merumuskan kebijakan pembangunan yang lebih terarah.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes in Pancasila Education at SDN 20 Piai Padang are caused by teacher-centered learning and a lack of student collaboration. This study aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes through the Jigsaw cooperative model. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) follows the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles with four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through observation, tests, and non-tests. The results indicated that the quality of the teaching module increased from 83.3% (Cycle I) to 95.8% (Cycle II). Teacher activity improved from 81.2% to 87.5%, and student activity rose from 71.8% to 90.6%. The average student learning outcome significantly increased from 72.8 (Cycle I) to 88.5 (Cycle II). In conclusion, the Jigsaw model effectively enhances the quality of learning and students' academic achievement in elementary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keputusan Presiden dalam pemberian amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto tentang apakah mahasiswa PPKn 2023 FKIP Universitas Jambi melek akan kejadian hukum yang terjadi di tanah air. Penelitian ini bertujuan ingin mengetahui perspektif  mahasiswa mengenai supremasi hukum di Indonesia: studi kasus amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto. Tempat dilakukannya penelitian oleh penulis yaitu di Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan Universitas Jambi. Adapun yang menjadi informan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dosen Prodi PPKn, BPH Imadipwakra bidang riset dan teknologi  dan mahasiswa aktif Prodi PPKn angkatan 2023. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data dan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan sebagian besar informan dari mahasiswa PPKn  2023 melek akan kejadian hukum yang terjadi dan tidak setuju dengan keputusan tersebut. Kemudian ada beberapa dari mahasiswa PPKn yang mempunyai persepsi bahwa keputusan presiden dalam pemberian amnesti Hasto Kristiyanto tersebut seperti ada unsur politiknya. Faktor yang membuat mereka tidak setuju adalah karena dianggap keputusan tersebut seperti dipaksakan dengan komunikasi atau unsur politik. Penulis berharap kepada kepala negara adan lembaga legislatif (DPR) agar benar-benar menanamkan nilai-nilai bijaksana didalam setiap individunya dan semoga yang menjadi kepala negara adan lembaga legislatif (DPR) berikutnya memang benar-benar bersih dari hubungan lingkaran kekuasaan sehingga menjadi lembaga eksekutif lembaga yudikatif yang bersih dari intervensi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the differences in self-control based on gender among students of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Self-control refers to an individual’s ability to regulate behavior, emotions, and decision-making in accordance with prevailing norms, which plays an important role in adolescent development. This research employed a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The sample consisted of 63 students, including 28 males and 35 females. Data were collected using a self-control questionnaire based on a Likert scale covering behavioral control, cognitive control, and decision control aspects. The data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test with a significance level of 0.05, along with descriptive analysis. The results showed that there was no significant difference in self-control between male and female students, with a significance value of 0.505 (p > 0.05). Descriptively, male students had a slightly higher mean score than female students; however, the difference was not statistically significant. Therefore, gender does not influence the level of students’ self-control. This study suggests that future research should consider other factors such as family environment, education, and counseling interventions in influencing self-control. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kontrol diri berdasarkan jenis kelamin pada siswa SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Kontrol diri merupakan kemampuan individu dalam mengatur perilaku, emosi, dan pengambilan keputusan sesuai dengan norma yang berlaku, yang berperan penting dalam perkembangan remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain komparatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 63 siswa yang terdiri dari 28 laki-laki dan 35 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket kontrol diri berbasis skala Likert yang mencakup aspek kontrol perilaku, kontrol kognitif, dan kontrol keputusan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji independent samples t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 serta analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kontrol diri siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,505 (p > 0,05). Secara deskriptif, rata-rata kontrol diri siswa laki-laki sedikit lebih tinggi dibandingkan perempuan, namun perbedaan tersebut tidak bermakna secara statistik. Dengan demikian, jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat kontrol diri siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar penelitian selanjutnya mempertimbangkan faktor lain seperti lingkungan keluarga, pendidikan, dan intervensi bimbingan konseling dalam memengaruhi kontrol diri.
