Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in strengthening social skills based on Islamic values ​​from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali in grade 1 students of MI Hasyimiyah Sukolilo Tuban in the 2025/2026 academic year. Elementary school students' social skills are an important aspect in supporting the process of adaptation and interaction in the school environment, especially in developing cooperation, empathy, and positive social interactions. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation of class teachers and several grade 1 students out of 20 students as research subjects. The results of the study indicate that students' social adaptation skills since the beginning of school are classified as good and develop gradually through the habituation of Islamic values ​​such as mutual assistance (ta'awun), compassion (rahmah), and mutual respect instilled by teachers through advice methods, role models, and direct practice in daily learning activities. Teachers act as educators, guides, motivators, facilitators, and role models in instilling Islamic values ​​so as to strengthen students' ability to cooperate, empathize, and interact socially in a sustainable manner in accordance with Imam Al-Ghazali's educational perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing the formation of disciplined character among street vendors in complying with Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2016 after the enforcement actions at Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City, as well as to analyze the government’s efforts in fostering disciplined character as a manifestation of legal awareness among street vendors. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from local government documents, enforcement archives, official reports, activity photographs, and previous studies related to street vendors. The informants in this study were divided into three categories: primary informants (street vendors), key informants (the Legal Division of the Regional Secretariat of Jambi City or members of the Jambi City Regional House of Representatives involved in drafting Regional Regulation Number 12 of 2016), and additional informants (community members around Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City). The collected data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested through source, technique, and time triangulation.The results of the study indicate that the disciplined character of street vendors at Talang Banjar Market, Jambi City, after the enforcement actions is still low due to economic factors, long-standing trading habits, and the low internalization of legal values. Meanwhile, government efforts through socialization, relocation, business facilities, and enforcement actions have not been fully effective because they still focus on physical control measures and have not optimally built legal awareness and a sustainable culture of discipline among street vendors.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Wayground media in increasing social studies learning interest among eighth-grade students at MTs Salafiyah. This research employed a qualitative method using a library research approach. The research data were obtained from various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and other documents related to game-based learning media, learning interest, and social studies learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation studies and literature analysis, while data analysis used content analysis techniques. The results showed that Wayground media plays an important role in creating a more interactive, engaging, and enjoyable social studies learning process. The use of game-based learning media can increase student involvement in learning activities, foster enthusiasm, and reduce boredom toward theoretical social studies materials. In addition, Wayground media helps teachers create more innovative learning environments and encourages students to be more active in discussions and classroom activities. Students’ responses to the use of Wayground media indicated an increase in attention, participation, and learning interest during the learning process. Therefore, Wayground media can be used as an effective alternative learning medium to improve social studies learning interest among eighth-grade students at MTs Salafiyah.

Abstract

The increasing number of motor vehicles each year has led to a growing demand for fuel at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU). This condition causes long queues, especially when the service capacity is not balanced with the rate of vehicle arrivals. This study aims to analyze the efficiency of the SPBU service system using a multi-channel queueing model (M/M/c) combined with Monte Carlo simulation to estimate vehicle waiting times stochastically. Data were obtained through direct observation, including arrival times, service times, and the number of active service channels. Modeling and simulation were carried out using Python with the NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib libraries. The results show that the actual average waiting time was 81.92 minutes, while the Monte Carlo simulation produced an average of 87.94 minutes, with a difference of only 7.35%, indicating a high level of accuracy. The system utilization value (ρ) of 1.05 indicates an overloaded condition that leads to increased customer waiting times. The simulation results also show that adding one service channel can reduce the average waiting time by up to 30%. Thus, the combination of the M/M/c model and Monte Carlo simulation proves effective in describing the stochastic behavior of the queueing system at SPBUs and can serve as a basis for improving service efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the representation of power structuration and symbolic violence in Khalil Gibran’s short story collection Spirits Rebellious (Jiwa-Jiwa Pemberontak) using Pierre Bourdieu’s theoretical framework. Through descriptive qualitative analysis, this research identifies how Bourdieu’s four forms of capital (economic, social, cultural, and symbolic) are distributed among agents in the represented social arena, how the rebellious habitus is formed as a response to symbolic domination, and how symbolic violence is exercised through mechanisms of euphemism and censorship. The findings show that Spirits Rebellious not only represents the structuration of power in traditional Lebanese society but also offers the possibility of heterodoxy through symbolic resistance practices carried out by its rebellious characters. The novelty of this research lies in the systematic application of Bourdieu’s perspective to Gibran’s early work, which has been underexplored in Indonesian literary criticism, as well as its contribution to enriching the sociology of literature through the Bourdieusian approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character formation of elementary school students through the implementation of Christian values, with a particular focus on Christian school culture as the primary pedagogical medium. Employing a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design, the research was conducted at SD Daniel Creative School Semarang. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, students, and parents, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that character formation becomes more effective when Christian values such as love, discipline, integrity, responsibility, and service are internalized through the school’s vision, institutional culture, hidden curriculum, learning practices, teacher exemplarity, and family involvement. Christian school culture functions as a transformative space in which Christian values are embodied as students’ lived practices. This study concludes that the effectiveness of character education in Christian elementary schools depends on the consistent, contextual, and holistic integration of Christian values into school culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Picture and Picture learning model on the sentence-making skills of second grade students at SDN 12 Gu, Central Buton Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. This research was motivated by the low ability of students in constructing sentences in Indonesian language learning and the lack of variation in learning models used by teachers. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental research type employing a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The sample of this study consisted of 20 students from class II C. Data collection techniques were conducted through pretest and posttest instruments. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics through the t-test with the help of SPSS application. The results showed that the average pretest score of students was 58.2 and increased significantly after the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model. The results of the Independent Samples t-Test showed a significance value of < 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. Thus, there was a significant effect of the use of the Picture and Picture learning model on students’ sentence-making skills. The Picture and Picture learning model proved to be effective in improving students’ activeness, creativity, and ability to arrange sentences logically and systematically. Therefore, this learning model can be used as an alternative learning strategy in Indonesian language learning, especially in improving sentence-making skills for elementary school students.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Sistem pendidikan kontemporer seringkali menekankan metrik kinerja kognitif sambil mengabaikan dimensi emosional dan relasional dalam pembelajaran. Ketidakseimbangan ini berkontribusi pada hasil pembelajaran yang dangkal dan menurunnya kesejahteraan siswa. Tinjauan literatur integratif ini mengkaji konvergensi antara Pedagogi Berbasis Cinta dan Pembelajaran Mendalam sebagai kerangka kerja komprehensif untuk pengembangan kurikulum holistik. Studi ini menggunakan analisis sistematis terhadap artikel, buku, dan laporan pendidikan yang telah ditinjau oleh rekan sejawat yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2014-2024 dari basis data termasuk Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar, dan Sinta. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Pedagogi Berbasis Cinta, yang berlandaskan etika kepedulian dan pedagogi relasional, menciptakan keamanan psikologis yang diperlukan agar Pembelajaran Mendalam dapat berkembang. Konvergensi tersebut terwujud melalui tiga dimensi: keamanan emosional yang memungkinkan pengambilan risiko kognitif, hubungan yang bermakna yang mendorong motivasi intrinsik, dan lingkungan yang penuh perhatian yang mendukung refleksi metakognitif. Makalah ini mengusulkan kerangka kurikulum terintegrasi yang menyelaraskan domain afektif dan kognitif, menunjukkan bahwa cinta dalam pendidikan bukanlah sesuatu yang bertentangan dengan ketelitian akademis, melainkan fondasi esensialnya. Implikasi bagi pendidikan guru, desain kurikulum, dan kebijakan pendidikan dibahas. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa Pedagogi Berbasis Cinta, yang diterapkan pada etika kepedulian dan pedagogi relasional, menciptakan keamanan psikologis yang diperlukan bagi Deep Learning untuk berkembang. Konvergensi termanifestasi melalui tiga dimensi: keamanan emosional yang memungkinkan pengambilan risiko kognitif, hubungan bermakna yang mendorong motivasi intrinsik, dan lingkungan yang peduli yang mendukung refleksi metakognitif. Makalah ini mengusulkan kerangka kurikulum terintegrasi yang mengharmonisasikan domain afektif dan kognitif, menyarankan bahwa cinta dalam pendidikan tidak bertentangan dengan ketelitian akademik kecuali fondasi esensialnya. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model assisted by flashcard media on elementary school students’ learning activeness. The background of this research is based on the low level of student activeness caused by teacher-centered learning and limited use of learning media. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri Bergas Lor 01 and SD Negeri Bergas Lor 02. The instrument used was an observation sheet of students’ learning activeness. Data were analyzed using inferential statistical tests. The results indicate that there is a significant difference in learning activeness between students taught using the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning model assisted by flashcards and those taught using the Jigsaw model without flashcards. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw-type Cooperative Learning model assisted by flashcard media has a significant effect on students’ learning activeness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of social studiesteachers in shaping students’ disciplinary character atSMP Tunas Persada Malangbong Garut, the obstaclesfaced, and the efforts made to overcome theseobstacles. This study used a qualitative researchmethod with a literature study approach. Data were obtained from various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, research articles, and otherdocuments related to the research topic. Data collection techniques were carried out through contentanalysis of various sources related to the role of socialstudies teachers and the formation of students’ disciplinary character. The results of the study indicatethat social studies teachers have an important role in shaping students’ disciplinary character throughmotivation, disciplinary habituation, role modeling, andthe enforcement of rules in the learning process. Social studies teachers also play a role in instillingresponsibility, obedience to rules, and mutual respectamong students. However, there are several obstaclesin its implementation, such as students’ low awarenessof the importance of discipline, peer environmentalinfluences, lack of family attention, and excessivegadget use. To overcome these obstacles, socialstudies teachers make various efforts, such as providing advice and motivation, implementingdisciplinary habituation, giving good examples, andcollaborating with students’ parents. Therefore, theformation of students’ disciplinary character requirescooperation between teachers, families, and theschool environment in order to run optimally.
