Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pemikiran Nidhal Guessoum mengenai integrasi agama dan sains serta kritiknya terhadap paradigma I'jaz Ilmi Al-Qur’an. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perdebatan panjang mengenai hubungan agama dan sains, khususnya dalam pemikiran Islam kontemporer. Sebagian kalangan memandang agama dan sains sebagai dua hal yang bertentangan, sedangkan sebagian lainnya berupaya membangun hubungan yang harmonis antara keduanya. Nidhal Guessoum hadir sebagai salah satu pemikir Muslim modern yang menawarkan jalan tengah melalui pendekatan rasional, kritis, dan tetap berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitis melalui penelaahan karya-karya Guessoum dan literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guessoum memandang agama dan sains sebagai dua bidang yang dapat saling melengkapi. Menurutnya, sains berfungsi memahami alam semesta melalui metode ilmiah, sedangkan agama memberikan nilai moral dan spiritual bagi kehidupan manusia. Guessoum juga mengkritik paradigma I'jaz Ilmi yang cenderung memaksakan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an agar sesuai dengan teori-teori sains modern. Menurutnya, pendekatan tersebut memiliki kelemahan metodologis dan berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahpahaman terhadap fungsi Al-Qur’an maupun hakikat sains. Sebagai alternatif, ia menawarkan dialog yang seimbang antara wahyu dan akal tanpa saling mendominasi. Dengan demikian, pemikiran Guessoum relevan sebagai dasar pengembangan hubungan harmonis antara agama dan sains di era modern.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the limited attention to students’ wellbeing in Islamic boarding schools, which tend to emphasize cognitive and spiritual aspects, while academic pressure, social dynamics, and environmental adaptation often lead to psychological challenges among students. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the CURHAT counseling technique in improving student wellbeing in the Al-Mawaddah area of Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School. The study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that the CURHAT counseling technique, implemented through structured stages including chemistry, case disclosure, empathic response, solution formulation, alternative solutions, and follow-up, significantly enhances students’ emotional openness, self-regulation, and learning motivation. Furthermore, the responsive and humanistic counseling approach creates a safe space for students to express their concerns honestly and actively participate in problem-solving. The implications of this study indicate that the CURHAT counseling technique can serve as an effective, adaptive, and contextual counseling model to promote psychological wellbeing among students in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This research was driven by the low understanding of science (IPAS) concepts among fourth-grade elementary school students due to the dominance of conventional learning models. The study aimed to analyze the effect of the Buzz Group learning model based on Catur Pramana on the understanding of science concepts. This research was a quasi-experimental study using a Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population of this study consisted of fourth-grade students in Cluster II, Busungbiu District. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique, resulting in 28 students in the experimental group and 21 students in the control group. Data on students' understanding of science concepts were collected through an essay test consisting of 20 validated items. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Independent Sample T-test). The results showed that the t-count (14.201) was greater than the t-table (2.013) at a significance level of 0.05. Furthermore, the average N-gain score for the experimental group was 0.72 (High category), while the control group was 0.31 (Medium category). It can be concluded that the Buzz Group learning model based on Catur Pramana has a significant effect on the understanding of science concepts among fourth-grade students. This model provides an innovative alternative for teachers to enhance student participation and conceptual mastery through systematic stages of observation and logical reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the deep learning approach in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in sixth-grade elementary school. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subject was a sixth-grade elementary school teacher. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation and interviews to obtain information regarding the implementation of deep learning in IPAS instruction. The findings revealed that the teacher had implemented deep learning through various active learning methods, such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), discussions, demonstrations, inquiry, and experiments. The learning process was connected to students’ daily lives, enabling students to become more active, enthusiastic, confident in asking questions, and better able to understand the learning materials. The use of instructional media, including learning videos, teaching aids, books, and interactive television, also contributed to improving students’ understanding. However, the implementation of deep learning still encountered several challenges, including limited instructional time and limited supporting learning media.Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the deep learning approach is capable of creating more active and meaningful IPAS learning and enhancing student engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

The results of the 2022 Program for International Student Assessment (PISA)indicate that students` numeracy literacy skills in Indonesia remain low. Thissituation was also observed among fourth-grade students at SDN Sukun 2, whostruggled to solve word problems in mathematics. This study aims to improvestudents’ numeracy literacy skills through the implementation of a Problem-BasedLearning (PBL) model supported by a Mystery Box medium for mathematics wordproblems. The study employed the Classroom Action Research method based onthe Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles with five sessions.The research subjects consisted of 27 fourth grade students at SDN Sukun 2 inMalang City. Data collection techniques included observation, testing, anddocumentation. The results showed that the percentage of students meeting thestandard increased from 40,74% to 96,30%, while the average student score rosefrom 68,44 to 84,51. The implementation of the PBL model supported by the MysteryBox media was effective in improving the numeracy literacy skills of elementaryschool students.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education requires elementary schools to manage academic, financial, infrastructure, and communication data effectively. This study aims to analyze the needs of a cloud-based Education Management Information System (EMIS) at SD Negeri Cilibur 01. The research employed a qualitative descriptive case study approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings indicate that data management is still conducted manually, leading to delays, duplication, and limited transparency. The needs analysis identified five essential modules: academic, staffing, finance, infrastructure, and communication. The proposed cloud-based EMIS blueprint consists of three stages: digitization, integration, and analytic portal. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance efficiency, accountability, and the quality of educational services. The study recommends teacher and staff training, local government policy support, and integration with the national education system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Realistic MathematicsEducation (RME) approach in enhancing students' ability to represent mathematics,which remains low in conventional learning. Employing PRISMA 2020-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR), literature search was conducted onGoogle Scholar (2013-2025) using keywords RME and mathematicalrepresentation, yielding 14 high-quality empirical articles (quasi-experiments,classroom action research) from 420 initial records. Thematic-content analysisand meta-descriptive synthesis demonstrate RME consistently improves verbal,visual, and symbolic representation abilities (effect size 0,65-1,2 SD), outperformingconventional/STAD approaches across elementary-secondary levels. Superiority isevident through real-world contexts and concrete media utilization. These findingsconfirm RME as an effective pedagogical solution for mathematical literacy teachertraining, and RME-based module development is recommended.

Abstract

Mathematics instruction in elementary schools continues to encounter numerous challenges, particularly in enabling students to grasp abstract arithmetic concepts. This often hinders the optimal development of students’ cognitive skills. This study focused on fourth-grade students at MI Khoiriyatussibyan during the 2025/2026 academic year, aiming to examine the impact of integrating the Direct Instruction model with Intelligent Stick media on students’ cognitive development in mathematics. The research involved 20 students and followed a structured process: an initial pre-test, implementation of lessons using the specified instructional model and media, and a post-test upon completion. In addition to testing, data were gathered through classroom observations and documentation. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 23, incorporating normality tests, Paired Sample T-Tests, and N-Gain calculations. Findings revealed a notable improvement in student performance, with average scores rising from 4.80 on the pre-test to 8.95 on the post-test. Statistical analysis yielded a significance value of 0.002 well below the 0.05 threshold indicating a strong effect, while the N-Gain score of 0.79 fell within the high improvement category. These results demonstrate that the Direct Instruction model, when supported by Intelligent Stick media, effectively enhances students’ understanding of mathematical concepts and positively influences their cognitive growth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran jigsaw terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV sekoloah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV di SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03 sebanyak 64 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen berupa soal esai yang telah divalidasi ahli sebelum digunakan. Hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji independen sample t-test memperoleh nilai signifikansi sig (2-tailed) sebesar (0,001 < 0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Jigsaw berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa IPA kelas IV SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03. Model ini dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of professional ethics in fostering a work ethic among teachers amid the increasingly complex challenges of modern education. The decline in discipline and professional responsibility, as well as the weak commitment of some educators to the quality of learning, highlights the need to strengthen teachers’ professional ethics. This study aims to analyze the concept of teachers’ professional ethics and its implications for the development of a work ethic in the field of education. The study employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from various scholarly sources, including national journals, books, and educational regulations relevant to professional ethics and teachers’ work ethic. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to identify conceptual relationships between professional ethics and teachers’ work ethic. The results of the study indicate that professional ethics have a significant influence on the formation of teachers’ work ethic, particularly in terms of responsibility, discipline, integrity, professional loyalty, and commitment to improving the quality of education. Teachers who possess a good understanding and application of professional ethics tend to demonstrate a higher work ethic in carrying out their educational duties. This study confirms that strengthening professional ethics must be an integral part of teacher competency development in order to continuously improve the quality of education.
