Abstract

The emergence of virtual influencers presents a new form of female representation on social media because the bodies displayed are not biological, but are digitally produced and controlled. This study aimed to analyze the commodification of the virtual female body on the TikTok account @lentari.pagi through content commodification, audience commodification, and indications of economic value within the platform ecosystem. The study employed a qualitative approach with a critical paradigm. The research data consisted of eight TikTok posts selected through criterion-based purposive sampling, including videos, visual elements, captions, interaction metrics, and audience comments. The data were analyzed using Sara Mills's critical discourse analysis to examine the positions of the subject, object, and reader, and were subsequently linked to Vincent Mosco's theory of commodification. The results showed that Riri was constructed as a pseudo-subject who built intimacy through a digital persona and personal narratives, while her body was simultaneously positioned as a visual object that was displayed, judged, sexualized, and objectified. Content commodification occurred through the packaging of the virtual body as a flexible visual attraction for promotional content, entertainment, and popular issues. Audience commodification occurred when views, likes, comments, and shares became forms of digital labor that increased engagement and account visibility. The study concluded that the virtual female body on @lentari.pagi functioned as an attention commodity, in which the digital body generated attention, attention produced engagement, and engagement opened opportunities for potential commercial value.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, which is beginning to be integrated into the learning process, particularly in economics. The use of AI is expected to improve student motivation and learning outcomes through more interactive, adaptive, and efficient presentation of material. This study aims to examine the application of AI in economics learning, analyze its impact on student motivation and learning outcomes, and identify obstacles to its implementation. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, involving teachers and students at SMAN 8 Jambi City as data sources. Data were then analyzed using NVivo software through coding and theme development. The results show that the integration of AI in economics learning has a positive impact on student motivation, as indicated by increased activeness, enthusiasm, and independence in learning. Furthermore, the use of AI also contributes to improved student learning outcomes through easier understanding of the material and access to a wider range of learning resources. However, several obstacles remain, such as limited internet access and the need for teacher supervision to prevent dependency. Thus, the integration of artificial intelligence into economics learning can significantly improve student motivation and learning outcomes when used appropriately and in a targeted manner.

Abstract

Early childhood education, especially parents, plays a strategic role in shaping the character and Islamic values of young children. This study aims to identify and analyze the role of parents in instilling Islamic values in early childhood in Skouw Sae Village, a border region between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. This study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results show that parents play a significant role in instilling Islamic values, despite facing various challenges such as limited educational facilities, low literacy levels of some parents, and unfavorable socioeconomic conditions. Parents in Skouw Sae Village apply exemplary methods in their daily lives, family- and mosque-based education, and the integration of Islamic values with local traditions. They teach religious practices such as prayer, reading the Quran, and Islamic moral values, while introducing Islamic etiquette through daily prayers. These limitations encourage community solidarity to work together to support children's Islamic education, including utilizing the mosque as a center for Islamic learning. This research underscores the importance of parents as primary educators and role models for young children. Furthermore, it highlights the need for government policy support to improve access and quality of early childhood education in the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea border region

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the influence of parents' economic conditions on the IPAS learning outcomes of Grade VA students at SD Negeri Sikumana 2. The study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 20 Grade VA students, all of whom were selected as the research sample using the total sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure parents' economic conditions and documentation of students' IPAS learning outcomes. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25. The findings revealed that parents' economic conditions had a positive and significant effect on students' IPAS learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.030 (<0.05). The regression coefficient of 0.055 indicates that every improvement in parents' economic conditions is followed by an increase in students' learning outcomes. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.462 shows that parents' economic conditions contributed 46.2% to the students' IPAS learning outcomes, while the remaining 53.8% was influenced by other factors outside this study. Therefore, it can be concluded that parents' economic conditions significantly affect the IPAS learning outcomes of Grade VA students at SD Negeri Sikumana 2.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low accuracy of the use of personal pronouns in writing poetry by students, even though this element has an important role in building meaning, atmosphere, and emotional closeness in literary works. The purpose of this research is to improve the accuracy of the use of personal pronouns in writing poetry texts through the use of word cards media in Indonesian language learning. The method used is classroom action research with a qualitative and quantitative approach implemented in two cycles. Data were obtained through observation, tests, and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in students' abilities both qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitatively, students experienced an increase in creativity, activeness, and understanding in using personal pronouns in poetry. Quantitatively, students' average score increased from 50 in cycle I to 77 in cycle II. In addition, the use of word cards media has proven effective in increasing learning motivation, cooperation, and other language skills. Thus, word cards media can be an appropriate alternative in improving students' poetry writing skills, especially in the use of personal pronouns correctly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of the Educational Quality Assurance Agency (Balai Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan/BPMP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) in optimizing the utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM), as well as to identify its supporting factors, obstacles, and feature utilization. This research employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, focusing on the experiences of BPMP DIY officials and staff. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings indicate that BPMP DIY’s strategy is implemented through an operational approach that integrates PMM into direct assistance for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum (Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka/IKM) and data-based management to determine priority target schools. The main supporting factors include strong institutional policies and the culture of teacher literacy in DIY, while the obstacles identified include the low digital literacy of senior teachers, administrative workloads, and the perception of PMM as an additional reporting burden. The most dominantly utilized PMM features are Teaching Modules, Inspirational Videos, and Independent Training. Overall, BPMP DIY’s strategic management plays a key role in transforming the use of the platform from merely an administrative obligation into a need for continuous professional development.
