Abstract

This research was motivated by the low Critical Thinking Ability of students in class V of SDN 001 Bangkinang. One solution to overcome this problem is to use the Talking stick Type Cooperative model. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles consisting of two meetings and four stages, namely implementation planning, observation and reflection. When this research was carried out in October 2024. The subjects of this research were class V students at SDN 001 Bangkinang. Consisting of 12 students, there are 5 male students and 7 female students. Data collection methods use observation techniques and documentation techniques. The research results show that using the Talking stick Type Cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking abilities. This is shown by the observation results obtained in each cycle I meeting I from 12 students, it is known that the critical thinking skills of students included in the complete category reached 4 people or 34% and cycle I meeting II there were 5 people or 41%. Then in cycle II, meeting I, there were 7 people or 58% who had completed it and in cycle II, meeting II increased to 10 people or 83%. Through the application of the Talking stick Type Cooperative learning model to improve the critical thinking skills of class V students at SDN 001 Bangkinang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low initial reading skills of students. One of the efforts offered to improve students' initial reading skills is to use Pop up book learning media facilities. This study aims to determine the effect of Pop up book- based learning media on the initial reading skills of students in class 1 Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection techniques for this study were in the form of observation, tests, and documentation. The experimental class was class 1 Banat and the control class was class 1 Banin Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir. The data analysis technique to test the hypothesis used the t-test formula which was preceded by a normality test and homogeneity of variance. The results of this study indicate that the ability to read beginning using Pop up book media is higher than the ability to read beginning using the conventional model. With the results of the t-test at a significance level of 5%, the sig value (2-tailed) (0.00) <a (0.05) was obtained. This shows that the influence of interactive media based on pop-up books is more effective than conventional learning models. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of pop-up book-based learning media on the initial reading ability of grade 1 Salafiyah Ula Ibnu Jarir students.

Abstract

This research aims to overcome various kinds of problems experienced by santri by developing local cultural values originating from the East Kalimantan area, namely belian betuah which researchers will later develop through modules that can be used as a reference in overcoming these problems. The specific aim of this research is so that students at PPA Ibnu Katsir can overcome boredom by using local cultural values which will be developed by researchers, and can be used as a means for development in further research. Burnout is an emotional condition when someone feels tired and fed up both mentally and physically due to work demands related to rote memorization, this often happens in Islamic boarding school environments, especially in Islamic boarding school environments, therefore this must be eradicated, by means of the need for guidance - guidance and motivation that can raise the enthusiasm of students in carrying out their mandate as students memorizing the Koran at PPA Ibnu Katsir 2 Jember. Therefore, researchers will distribute questionnaires, make observations and interviews. Researchers conducted research by developing local cultural values which can be useful for overcoming problems in the santri environment, namely in the process of memorizing the Al'Quran by developing local cultural values, namely belian betulah which originates from the Kalimantan area.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of character education values in the animated film Riko The Series and to explain the internalization process of these values among fifth-grade students at SDN Gemah Semarang. The research is based on the importance of strengthening character education in primary schools through contextual, engaging, and easily understood media. Local animated films rich in moral messages are considered potential alternatives to support character-based learning.The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Sources of data include selected episodes of Riko The Series (episodes 3–5, Season 5), classroom teachers, and students. Data were analyzed inductively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings indicate that the film represents character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, cooperation, empathy, social care, and religiosity through narratives and visuals that are relatable to children’s experiences. The internalization process occurs through film viewing sessions followed by classroom discussions, reflective activities, and teacher-led reinforcement. Students demonstrated good understanding and positive responses toward the use of visual media in learning.In conclusion, the representation of values in this film makes it an effective medium for character education, particularly in elementary school settings. The internalization process becomes more optimal when supported by continuous teacher guidance. Recommendations are addressed to teachers, students, and schools to better integrate educational films into character education strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) menganalisis pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV MIS Al-Fatah Singkawang. 2 ) mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV MIS Al-Fatah Singkawang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksperimen dengan desain Pre Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas IV MIS AL Fatah Singkawang dan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Purposive Sampling sebanyak 34 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah tes dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes dan lembar dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan wilcoxon signed rank test. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) Terdapat pengaruh model problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas IV MIS AL-Fatah Singkawang. Uji wilcoxon signed rank test diperoleh nilai Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari taraf signifikasi α= 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikasi antara hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya model problem based learning berbantaun media audio visual. Dengan demikian, hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak, dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima, yang berarti bahwa model pembelajaran ini berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa 2. Model problem based learning berbantuan media audio visual berpengaruh besar terhadap hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas IV MIS AL-Fatah Singkawang. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan perhitungan Effect Size diperoleh 1,35.

Abstract

This research was conducted because it was motivated by the lack of honesty character of students in schools, one of the efforts to minimize the problem is the habit of responsibility in schools. The formulation of the problem contained in this study is whether the habit of responsibility affects the honesty character of class XI students of State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine whether the habit of responsibility affects the honesty character of class XI students of State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. The benefit of this study is expected to be a school guide to the habit of responsibility and honesty character of students. Then it becomes a reference material regarding the influence of the habit of responsibility on the honesty character of students. The research method used is a quantitative method through the results of the coefficient of determination test analysis obtained that the influence of the habit of responsibility on the honesty character of class XI is 28.7% and the rest is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

This study uses a descriptive qualitative method that aims to determine how the use of the Fun Teaching method in mathematics learning in class II SDN Penjaringan 03 North Jakarta. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation of teachers and students involved in the learning process. The research process begins with observation of mathematics learning activities in the classroom, then interviews are conducted to obtain more in-depth information about the views of teachers and students on the application of the Fun Teaching method in the classroom. In this method, teachers use various interesting activities such as educational s, singing, guessing words and storytelling to create a fun learning atmosphere and make students more interested in learning. The results of the study show that the Fun Teaching method can increase students' interest in learning and understanding of mathematics material, especially in spatial geometry material. Students become more active, their enthusiasm for learning increases, and the classroom atmosphere becomes more lively. The use of the Fun Teaching method has a positive impact on the mathematics learning process. Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade XI F4 students in Sociology at Adabiah 2 High School, Padang. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes using the Teaching at the Right Level (TARL) learning approach. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) formulated by Ari Kunto, which consists of four components: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection, using a mixed methods approach. The research data consisted of information about the results of the actions obtained from observations of teacher activities and student learning outcome tests. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle of research showed that the average student learning outcome score remained around 70.6, with only 39.5% completing tasks and 59.9% not completing tasks. In the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased to an average of 84.8, with 83.5% completing tasks and a decrease of 16.6% not completing tasks. This indicates an improvement in learning outcomes, as seen in the second cycle, with an increase in average student scores. This demonstrates that learning outcomes improve with the use of the TaRL approach in sociology.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and measure the level of readability of the Proficient Indonesian language textbook for class VIII SMP using the Fry graph. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection uses documentation techniques which are collected systematically and in stages. The steps used in this research are (1) selecting discourse in reading activities in the Proficient Indonesian language textbook for the samples analyzed for each chapter, (2) counting the number of sentences out of one hundred words and the number of syllables in one hundred words contained in the sample discourse, (3) finding the readability level of students' discourse in the Proficient Indonesian language book and the number per sentence and number of syllables per 100 words from the text taken in each chapter, (4) grouping the results of the analysis and discussing them. The research results showed that 14 of the 25 discourses analyzed were appropriate to the readability level, 5 discourses were appropriate to the grade level and 7 discourses were not appropriate to the grade level. Of the 7 discourses that are not appropriate to grade level, 5 discourses are classified as very easy and 2 discourses are classified as very difficult.

junior high school level. However, in practice, it often leads to misconceptions among students. One of the main contributing factors is the way the material is presented in textbooks, which serve as the primary reference for both teachers and students. This study aims to analyze the potential misconceptions found in two mathematics textbooks, namely Matematika SMP/MTs Kelas VII Semester 1 published by BS Press (2017) and Persamaan dan Pertidaksamaan Linear Satu Variabel written by Winie Ananda (2022). This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using content analysis. The instrument focused on three aspects: (1) the rule of reversing inequality signs when multiplying or dividing by negative numbers, (2) the conceptual differences between linear equations in one variable (PLSV) and linear inequalities in one variable (PtLSV), and (3) the representation of solution sets on the number line. Thefindings indicate that both textbooks still contain potential sources of misconceptions. The use of the term “root of PtLSV” is conceptually inaccurate, the rule of sign reversal is presented only procedurally, the distinction between PLSV and PtLSV is insufficiently emphasized, and the graphical representation on the number line is not adequately explained. These results highlight the need to improve the presentation of PtLSV materials in textbooks and encourage teachers to provide stronger conceptual explanations to foster meaningful learning.
