Abstract

This research aims to investigate teachers' efforts in enhancing students' memorization of the Qur'an at Rabbani Bandung Elementary School. The type of research conducted is qualitative research with a case study approach, where data collection is carried out using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that teachers' efforts in improving students' Qur'an memorization at Rabbani Bandung Elementary School include grouping students based on their memorization abilities, managing the time for Tahfidz Program implementation, employing the Talaqqi method, and providing motivation for Qur'an memorization. In this study, it can be concluded that the teachers at Rabbani Elementary School in Bandung have implemented several effective efforts to enhance students' memorization of the Qur'an. Key efforts include grouping students according to their memorization abilities, effective time management, using the Talaqqi method, conducting muroja'ah, and offering motivation. This approach helps create a supportive learning environment to achieve the set memorization targets, emphasizing comprehension and appreciation of the Qur'an while fostering strong intention and motivation among students.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning models that are adaptive to the cognitive development of elementary school students. Through literature analysis, this research seeks to discover effective teaching strategies for integrating HOTS into the elementary school curriculum. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data used consists of various HOTS learning models that are adaptive to the cognitive development of elementary school students, obtained through articles and scientific journals. Data collection techniques include literature studies, while data analysis techniques involve reading, observing, and noting. The validity of the data is ensured through theoretical triangulation. The results show that learning models such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Project-Based Learning (PjBL), and Discovery Learning are effective in integrating HOTS for elementary school students. PBL emphasizes problem-solving, enhancing students' ability to apply concepts to real-world problems, and developing independent and collaborative learning skills. PjBL focuses on project or product-based outcomes relevant to the teaching material, encouraging students to be active, creative, and innovative. Discovery Learning helps students develop critical and analytical thinking skills through a series of learning stages.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how to optimize elementary school children's learning through understanding Jean Piaget's cognitive development theory. The research employs a literature review approach and qualitative analysis of relevant literature. The main focus is on the concrete and formal operational stages that influence children's understanding of learning. Data analysis is conducted descriptively to identify the implications of Piaget's theory in designing teaching strategies appropriate to children's cognitive development stages. This study formulates a conceptual framework to support educators in optimizing classroom teaching and learning processes, considering individual differences in thinking and information processing abilities. The findings indicate that optimizing learning through understanding Piaget's theory involves using strategies and methods that align with children's cognitive development stages. The methods used include contextual learning, outdoor learning, group discussions, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and constructivist models, which help children develop critical and logical thinking skills.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is one of the problems that arises in the school environment so that prevention and handling efforts are needed. This research aims to describe bullying behavior, find out the causes of bullying behavior, and describe teachers' efforts to prevent and handle bullying behavior among students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala. The approach used in this research is descriptive quantitative with a survey type. The population in this study were students in grades IV, V, VI UPT SPF SD Inpres Manggala, with a total sample of 139 students selected using random sampling techniques. The instrument used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses descriptive statistics (Percentage). The results of this study show that (1) there are four forms of bullying behavior: verbal, non-verbal, cyberbullying and relational bullying. Verbal bullying is the most dominant form with an average percentage of 47.57. (2) The most dominant cause of bullying behavior is lack of teacher supervision with a percentage of 37.41%. (3) The most dominant prevention efforts taken by teachers are active supervision in the school environment with a percentage of 79.67%, while the dominant handling efforts taken by teachers are mediation efforts with an average percentage of 69.78%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that active supervision by teachers is a key factor in reducing bullying incidents in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to produce canva-based learning video media and test the validity and practicality of canva-based learning videos in grade III elementary schools. With the ADDIE model development method which includes analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation is used as the development procedure of this research. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the validation level of media experts is 90%, also using high criteria; and 92% validation by material experts, indicating a very valid level of validity. In addition, in the practicality assessment questionnaire score which was considered very well applied by both teachers and students, with an assessment of 92% from teachers and 85.6% from students so that the criteria were obtained with a very practical level of practicality. The findings of this study indicate that learning videos using the Canva application in grade III elementary school science subjects on the material of changes in the form of objects are declared valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum can enhance students' digital literacy skills and foster strong and positive character development. The research employs a literature review method to examine the role of the Merdeka Curriculum in developing digital literacy and student character. Literature review is a research method designed to collect, review, and analyze data or information from various sources, such as journals, books, articles, research reports, and other relevant documents. The study indicates that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum positively contributes to optimizing digital literacy and character development among students. The use of New Media Theory highlights that digital literacy is an essential skill that students must master in the digital age. The Merdeka Curriculum effectively accommodates the ongoing advancements in information and communication technology, enabling students to keep pace with global developments.

Abstract

Teaching materials can be interpreted as components that are closely related to the content of each subject and must be relevant to the learning objectives, characteristics of students, and strategies used in learning. However, in reality, sometimes teaching materials are used continuously without evaluation and development. However, developing teaching materials is very important because it can improve the quality of learning. The purpose of this research is to find out what and how the procedures for teaching materials are as a guide for conducting learning. This research uses a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis methods. The type of data in this research is qualitative data using content analysis. The research results found that there are four main steps that need to be taken in the procedure for developing teaching materials. Namely analysis, planning, development and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of nationalist and independent characters in school culture. Nationalist and independent characters are two important aspects in developing students who are responsible, have integrity and are ready to face global challenges. This research used a qualitative method which is depcriptive. The results show that the implementation of nationalist character is reflected through activities such as flag ceremonies, commemoration of national days, and integration of national values in the curriculum. Meanwhile, independent character is developed through programs that encourage students to take initiative, think critically and manage time effectively, such as independent projects and extracurricular activities that demand individual responsibility. These two characters, when applied consistently and integrated into the school culture, have been proven to form students who are not only academically smart, but also have a strong personality and love for the country. This implementation requires cooperation from all school parties, including teachers, principals and parents, to create an environment conducive to character development. This research makes an important contribution to the development of character education theory and implementation practices in schools. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for policy makers and education practitioners in developing more effective programs to shape students' character.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of variety in learning media, as well as the lack of use of technology in learning media innovation. This research aims to develop motion graphic learning media using Powtoon in science and science learning in class V elementary schools that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is development research (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data collection uses validation sheets, response questionnaires, and evaluation sheets. The test subjects in this research were class V students at SDN 12 Padang Besi and SDN 21 Bandar Buat. The results of this research showed that learning media had an average validation percentage level of 94.99% in the very valid category. The results of the practicality of teacher responses at SDN 12 Padang Besi and SDN 21 Bandar Buat obtained an overall average of 94.63% in the very practical category. Practicality Results of Student Responses at SDN 12 Padang Besi obtained a percentage of 91.25% and SDN 21 Bandar Buat obtained a percentage of 93.48% with the second category being very practical. The results of the effectiveness of learning media in class V at SDN 12 Padang Besi obtained a percentage increase in student learning outcomes of 90% with 80% completeness at the first meeting and 95% with 85% completeness at the second meeting. Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness of learning media in class V at SDN 21 Bandar for the first meeting obtained a percentage of 93.75% with 87.5% completeness and at the second meeting it was 87.5% with 81.25% completeness. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this media has proven to be valid, practical and effective for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for innovation in the world of education that utilizes technology to support learning in schools. Even though the existing facilities are sufficient to create learning media. This research aims to develop digital flipbook media using heyzine in science and science learning in class V elementary school that is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE model including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Data from this research were obtained from validation results, practicality questionnaires, pre-test and post-test questions. The validation sheet is filled in by material, language and media experts. Then a trial was carried out at SDN 21 Bandar Buat, Padang city by 16 people, consisting of 8 boys and 8 girls in class V. The results of this research obtained learning media in the form of digital flipbooks which were valid, practical and effective. The overall validation results obtained a percentage of 94.73% in the "Very Valid" category. The practicality results from the teacher response questionnaire were 92.85% in the "Very Practical" category and 90.36 for students in the "Very Practical" category. Meanwhile, the results of the effectiveness of the pre-test and post-test questions have increased. Thus, the use of digital flipbook media using the heyzine application in science and science learning in class V elementary school is declared valid, practical and effective in use.
