Abstract

In elementary school music education, particularly concerning concepts of pitch, rhythm, and melody, there is often a lack of structured teaching materials that align with students' cognitive development. This limitation negatively impacts the learning process, leading to difficulties in understanding and applying basic musical concepts. This study aims to develop a digital music media in the form of a video, with a duration of 17 minutes and 43 seconds, utilizing platforms such as Canva, Flaticon, YouTube, Adobe Express, and Sibelius. The media was designed based on Edwin Gordon's Auditory Theory, Jean Piaget's Constructivism, and Sweller's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) with a qualitative approach. The needs analysis phase revealed a shortage of structured teaching materials at SDN Cibunigeulis 2, where content from YouTube did not fully meet the requirements of the Merdeka Curriculum. The developed digital music media was designed to meet ACTION criteria (Access, Cost, Technology, Interactivity, Organization, Novelty) and was evaluated by experts in content, presentation, graphics, and language. Validation results indicate that the media is deemed suitable with an overall score of 90%, categorized as very suitable in graphics and language aspects, and partially suitable in content and presentation. Implementation in the second-grade classroom demonstrated that the media effectively enhanced the quality of music education, and teacher evaluations revealed that it not only met but exceeded the established suitability standards. This study is expected to contribute significantly to the development of effective digital teaching materials for elementary school music education.

Abstract

In the modern digital era, managing image file sizes is crucial, particularly for devices with limited storage capacity. Images typically have large file sizes due to the extensive amount of color and detail information they contain, which can complicate storage and transmission. To address this issue, data compression techniques are essential for reducing file sizes without significantly sacrificing image quality, especially for images captured by DSLR cameras. This study compares two compression algorithms, Goldbach Codes and Shanon-Fano, to evaluate their effectiveness in compressing *.JPG images. Analysis using Measurement of Performance Expressional (MPE) reveals that Goldbach Codes has a higher priority decision value (7.976) compared to Shanon-Fano (7.868). This indicates that Goldbach Codes is more efficient in image compression, providing a better compression ratio and smaller space savings. In other words, Goldbach Codes proves to be superior in reducing image file sizes with greater speed and effectiveness compared to Shanon-Fano. These findings are significant for applications requiring high-quality image compression in a more efficient and space-saving format.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) create monopoly media for scientific literacy based on differentiated learning to raise elementary school students' critical reasoning dimensions; (2) assess the viability of using monopoly media for science literacy based on differentiated learning to raise elementary school students' critical reasoning dimensions; and (3) assess the efficacy of using monopoly media for science literacy based on differentiated learning to raise elementary school students' critical reasoning dimensions. This research and development using the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques in this research include questionnaires, interviews, observations, and tests. This research uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded: (1) the final product has elements such as a board game-style media that is intended to be visually appealing, vibrant, and long-lasting; it includes digitally and non-digitally accessible literacy materials; it is based on differentiated learning, which includes a variety of activities and materials, and it is developed to increase students' critical reasoning dimensions; (2) the product feasibility results meet the very feasible category with an average of 97.18%; and (3) effectiveness results show that the scientific literacy monopoly media developed has good effectiveness in improving students' critical reasoning. The percentage of limited trial results obtained by the critical reasoning dimension showed a score of 88.88%. The percentage of extensive trial results shows a score of 90.06%, so there is an increase in results from limited trials and is in the very critical reasoning qualification. The critical reasoning dimension is also supported by the results of a limited trial gain value of 0.62 in the medium category and a broad trial gain value of 0.63 in the medium category.

Abstract

Increasing the motivation to learn Pancasila Education for class VIII E students at SMP Negeri 39 Surabaya by using the Game Teams Tournament is the aim of this research. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out through several cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The subjects of this research were class VIII E students at SMPN 39 Surabaya. The variables for this research are the independent variable, namely the teams tournament game learning model and the related variable, namely the motivation to learn Pancasila Education. Observation technique is the technique used for data collection in this research. The data analysis technique carried out in this research uses percentages taken from students' Pancasila Education learning motivation contained in the pre-cycle, cycle I, cycle II. This research can conclude that learning using the Game Teams Tournament learning model through learning outside the classroom has succeeded in increasing students' learning motivation in Pancasila Education lessons. This is based on the results obtained from this research, namely that the percentage increase in the pre-cycle to cycle two experienced a significant increase, namely in the indicators of interest and enthusiasm by 31.27%, effort and perseverance by 27.61%, initiative in learning by 33.68%. %, level of concentration is 36.14%, response to feedback is 27.89 %. Based on the results of this research, to increase learning motivation students can use learning methods Game Teams Tournament through learning outside the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) An overview of the tolerance value between grade IV students of SDN 52 Singkawang in the subject of Science; 2) supporting factors and inhibiting factors faced by teachers in instilling the tolerance value of grade IV (A) SDN 52 Singkawang students in subjects (IPAS). The type of research used is qualitative research. This research was conducted at SDN 51 Singkawang. The subject of this research is the main informant is a grade IV student of SDN 51 Singkawang and the second informant is a grade IV homeroom teacher of SDN 51 Singkawang. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that (1) The tolerance value of students at SDN 51 Singkawang has been well embedded. Where the homeroom teacher of class IV has carried out his duties as a homeroom teacher well. The homeroom teacher always tries to give the best for his students in the classroom and outside the classroom; (2) The supporting factor is that the homeroom teacher applies a nationalism attitude in the child and the inhibiting factor is that there are introverted students. This has also been overcome by the homeroom teacher by rolling the seats for introverted students every day.

Abstract

The effectiveness of education in schools is highly dependent on student engagement and the utilization of appropriate pedagogical frameworks. Learning models play an important role in the teaching and learning process because they have the ability to capture students' attention, stimulate their interest, and foster their active participation. Cooperative learning in the Teams Games Tournament format is a pedagogical approach that is easy to implement, involves students as peer educators, and incorporates game elements. This study used Classroom Action Research (CAR) as a strategy to overcome the challenges faced. The data collection procedures used included observation, testing, and documentation. The test was given in the form of a post-test, consisting of multiple-choice questions. The data analysis methodology used included qualitative and quantitative data analysis. During cycle I, out of 33 students in class VIII-F of SMP Negeri 18 Surabaya, 14 students were classified as complete, accounting for 42.42% of the total, while 19 students were classified as incomplete, accounting for 57.57%. In cycle II of 33 students, 26 students, covering 78.78% of the total, were classified in the complete category because they successfully completed the Learning Target Achievement Criteria (KKTP) with a score of ≥78. A total of 7 students, covering 21.21% of the group, were classified as incomplete because they failed to achieve the Learning Target Achievement Criteria (KKTP), which requires a score of ≤78. Therefore, this study shows that the use of the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning paradigm can improve student.

Abstract

This research is motivated by finger painting activities. Finger painting is a painting technique that uses children's fingers to apply color to blank paper. The purpose is to see the development of children's creativity and train children's fine motor skills. The type of this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of 33 students of class II-A at SDN 004 Samarinda Ulu. Data collection techniques included by observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments included observation sheets of learner and educator activities, interview sheets, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study include: (1) Finger painting technique planning is carried out for 2 days by making teaching modules and preparing tools and materials, (2) The implementation of the finger painting technique was carried out for 2 days in the classroom and students showed an increase in the creativity category and experienced development in the fine motor category, (3) Evaluation of the finger painting technique is seen from the results of students' drawings and changes in the media used, namely from HVS paper to watercolor paper. Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of self-confidence on student learning outcomes. The subjects of this research were class V of State Elementary School 01 Kertayasa, Sindangagung District, Kuningan Regency, Academic Year 2024/2025 with a sample size of 30 respondents. Research data was obtained using a questionnaire for the self-confidence variable and multiple choice test questions for the Indonesian language learning outcome variable. The results of the research show a correlation equation of 0.60 and a coefficient of determination of 0.366 and the tcount of 5.98 is greater than the ttable of 2.00 with a real level of 0.05 which means it is significant. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that there is an influence between self-confidence on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of class V students.

Abstract

The lack of variation in approaches, methods and even media used by educators in the learning process means that learning activities tend to be conventional and teacher-centered. This research uses classroom action research (PTK) which is carried out in 3 cycles consisting of 4 stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Learning in this research was carried out using the TaRL approach, and the subjects of this research were class II students, totaling 27 children. Data collection techniques in research are observation and tests. The results of this study showed an increase at the start of pre-action. The percentage of participation and motivation to learn was 42.62% in cycle 1 of the first meeting after implementing the action. The percentage increased to 49.35% byimplementing the TaRL approach. Increased to 54.48% in cycle 1 session two, increased to 60.89% in cycle II session one, increased to 68.26% in cycle 2 session two, and increased to 73.07% in cycle 3 session 1, cycle 3 sessions two increased 80.12%. And the results of the action on student participation and learning motivation before the action showed that the percentage of student completion was 15.38%. However, after taking action in Cycle I, participation and motivation to learn increased by 34.61%. In cycle II the completion rate increased to 53.84%, and in cycle III it increased further with a completion rate of 80.76%. Based on the research results, it appears that implementing learning using the TaRL approach can increase student participation and learning motivation in Pancasila Education learning.

Abstract

This research is based on an empirical and literature review that showed that at SDN Mintorahayu 02 in Pati Regency, which found several grade I students had low reading skills. These students had difficulty recognizing letters, stringing syllables, spelling and reading sentences fluently. In addition, there has been no literacy research related to students' reading ability at this school, even though reading ability is very important for students' academic success. The purpose of this study is to describe students' beginning reading skills and analyze the inhibiting factors that affect students' beginning reading skills in grade 1 at SDN Mintorahayu 02 in Pati district. This study used a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods involving teachers and grade 1 students. The results showed that out of 9 students, 4 students (44%) were able to read fluently and correctly, while 5 students (56%) were not able to read well. Students with low reading skills show difficulty in recognizing and distinguishing letters, reading syllables, and spelling words and sentences. This is due to 2 influencing factors, namely internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include lack of confidence, low enthusiasm and motivation to learn, and lack of reading habits. While external factors such as a less supportive school environment such as less than optimal library management and parental support in learning. Based on the results of this study, suggestions that can be conveyed are that teachers emphasize the use of varied and interesting teaching methods by teachers, as well as intensive guidance for students who have difficulty reading. Parents are expected to provide support and motivation by reading with students at home and schools are advised to optimally manage the library.
