Abstract

Contemporary approaches to mathematics education play a vital role not only in assessing learning outcomes but also in uncovering the subjective meanings embedded in students’ learning processes. The interpretive paradigm provides a conceptual framework that emphasizes understanding social constructions, personal meanings, and the unique experiences of learners. This paradigm underpins qualitative research in education, particularly when the focus is on in-depth exploration of how students interpret and internalize mathematical concepts. This article aims to review recent literature that applies the interpretive paradigm within the field of mathematics education. Findings indicate that this approach is effective in revealing students’ perceptions of mathematics, their learning strategies, and the emotional and social challenges they encounter throughout the learning process. A literature review of publications from the past five years reveals that the interpretive paradigm enables researchers to gain deeper insights into students’ cognitive and affective domains areas often overlooked by quantitative methods. Predominant methodologies such as in-depth interviews, participatory observation, narrative reflection, and case studies facilitate a holistic and contextualized understanding of learning experiences. Furthermore, this paradigm repositions teachers not merely as transmitters of content, but as facilitators who are attuned to the social, cultural, and psychological backgrounds of their students. The findings from this review offer significant implications for the development of inclusive curricula, reflective and personalized instructional strategies, and more humane, context-sensitive assessment models. In this regard, the interpretive paradigm contributes to shaping a mathematics education system that is more empathetic, relevant, and meaningful for students from diverse backgrounds and with varied learning needs in the modern educational landscape.

Abstract

Science is an essential subject in elementary school, as it plays a significant role in developing scientific thinking, curiosity, and students' ability to understand natural phenomena logically and systematically. However, in practice, many students face difficulties in grasping scientific concepts. The aim of this study is to examine the effectiveness of implementing STEM and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) models in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and learning motivation. The research method employed is a systematic literature review of various relevant previous studies. The findings indicate that the application of STEM and PjBL learning models can improve elementary students’ understanding of science concepts, creativity, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Environmental and Cultural Education Jakarta is a local content subject specialized in schools in the Jakarta area. The assumption that PLBJ is a local content and not a core subject causes a lack of attention from teachers & schools to the achievement of this subject. One form of this is the lack of use of interactive learning media in PLBJ learning process at SDN Karet 04 Pagi. This study aims to identify the extent to which interactive learning media is needed in PLBJ Learning MaterialHistorical Tourist Attractions in Jakarta. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN Karet 04 Pagi. The research method used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results showed that both teachers and grade IV students need interactive media in PLBJ Learning.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the activities of the Pancasila student profile strengthening project in the independent curriculum in class IV of SD Negeri 9 Rantau Panjang. This study is a qualitative study with a case study approach with descriptive data types. The focus of this study is on P5 activities in the independent curriculum of class IV of SD Negeri 9 Rantau Panjang and the sub-focus of this study is how to utilize P5 through collaboration between students in completing the ecobrick project. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The previous P5 results were market day then the researcher continued by making ecobricks. In making ecobricks, measuring creative students. Based on the results of observations that the criteria for student creativity in P5 activities are very good.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum development in technology-based learning at the elementary school level. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes principles such as flexibility, relevance, efficiency, continuity, and active student participation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through interviews with teachers and literature studies. The results show that teachers have the freedom to design learning activities according to local context and student characteristics, and they can utilize technology adaptively despite limited facilities. Collaborative and creative strategies are applied to overcome infrastructure challenges. Technology-based learning enhances student engagement through independent information exploration, discussions, and presentations. Thus, the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum can be effectively implemented in elementary schools through the support of adaptive and innovative teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of diorama media can improve students' learning outcomes on the material "My Residence Plan" in grade III of elementary school. The focus of this study was to evaluate students' understanding through the use of diorama media. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation/testing, and reflection. The subjects of the study consisted of 20 grade III students, with data obtained through observation and testing, which were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that in cycle I, the level of student learning completion only reached 45% (9 students), while 55% (11 students) had not met the Learning Objective Completion Criteria (KKTP). After improvements were made in cycle II, there was a significant increase, with learning completion reaching 80% (16 students) and 20% (4 students) declared incomplete. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of diorama media improves students' learning outcomes on the material.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia berbasis comic voice bermuatan dialog interakif. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian R&D dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi 5 tahap: 1) tahap analisis siswa dan analisis kebutuhan; 2) tahap desain meliputi perancangan media; 3) tahap pengembangan meliputi validasi ahli materi dan ahli media; 4) tahap implementasi melibatkan guru dan 20 siswa kelas 4 SDN 1 Beleka; dan 5) tahap evaluasi merupakan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas media comic voice mendapatkan nilai 89,28% dengan kategori sangat valid dari ahli media, dan mendapatkan nilai 90,62% dengan kategori sangat valid dari ahli materi. Selanjutnya berdasarkan nilai kepraktisan media dari guru dan siswa mendapatkan nilai 93,33% dan 88,33% dengan kategori sangat praktis.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the role of the exemplary role of the kiai in shaping the disciplined character of students at the Salafiyah Daaruttoolibiin Garut Islamic Boarding School. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the kiai plays a central role in the process of internalizing disciplinary values ​​through exemplary attitudes, spiritual supervision, and providing positive habits. The strategies implemented include the implementation of a strict schedule, educational punishments, and a reward system for students who demonstrate disciplined behavior. Supporting factors for the success of this guidance include support from the pesantren environment and involvement of the surrounding community, while obstacles arise from the lack of internal awareness of students and weak family support for non-resident students. The students' responses show a transformation in behavior towards a more disciplined direction along with the consistent exemplary role of the kiai. This study provides an important contribution to the development of pesantren-based character education that focuses on the figure of the kiai as an agent of moral change.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode least square dalam prediksi penerimaan peserta didik baru di SD Negeri Wiropaten Surakarta Tahun 2025-2029. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan restrospektif. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah keseluruhan dari populasi yaitu data peserta didik baru tahun 2020-2024 di SD Negeri Wiropaten Surakarta. teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara kepada kepala sekolah dan petugas operator SD Negeri Wiropaten Surakarta. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Metode perhitungan yang digunakan adalah metode least square atau metode kuadrat terkecil, dan metode perhitungan kesalahan menggunakan metode MAPE. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan perhitungan data yang dilakukan menggunakan metode least quare mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya sebesar 0,1. Metode perhitungan kesalahan menghasilkan nilai kesalahan sebesar 7,39% atau tingkat akurasi sebesar 92,61% sesuai dengan kriteria nilai MAPE <10% memberikan hasil yang akurat dan signifikan sehingga H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode Least square dalam penerimaan peserta didik baru yang mempengaruhi dampak pada sekolah berupa mutu dan kualitas sekolah sebagai bahan pertimbangan dalam pengambilan keputusan serta kebijakan dimasa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Kemahiran mendengar merupakan salah satu aspek fundamental dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab, khususnya bagi penutur non-asli. Namun, pelaksanaan tes kemahiran mendengar sering kali menghadapi berbagai problematika yang menghambat efektivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi problematika tes kemahiran mendengar berdasarkan Kitab Ma’ayir Maharat Al-Lughah Al-Arabiyah Lin Nathiqin bi Ghairiha dan menawarkan solusi strategis untuk mengatasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif, memanfaatkan kajian pustaka dari artikel, jurnal, dan buku terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problematika dalam tes kemahiran mendengar terbagi menjadi dua dimensi utama, yaitu problem bahasa (minimnya kosakata, kesulitan membedakan bentuk kata kerja, dan tantangan fonetik) serta problem psikologis (kurangnya fokus dan adaptasi terhadap kecepatan audio). Untuk mengatasi problematika ini, penelitian merekomendasikan peningkatan penguasaan kosakata, latihan fonetik yang terstruktur, simulasi tes, serta penyesuaian kecepatan audio dalam pembelajaran. Implementasi solusi ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran dan efektivitas evaluasi kemahiran mendengar dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab.
