Abstract

English learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah still faces various challenges, particularly related to limited media, teaching strategies, and students’ readiness to comprehend a foreign language. This study aims to describe the descriptive study strategies applied by the teacher in English learning for fifth-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Mataram Udik. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive study design. The subject of the study was the English teacher of grade V and several students as supporting informants, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles & Huberman consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the teacher implemented three main strategies: the use of simple visual media (pictures, flashcards, and interactive whiteboard), the application of communicative methods through simple conversations, and the provision of descriptive feedback to correct students’ errors constructively. The teacher stated that visual media helped students understand vocabulary more easily, while students admitted that they became more confident in speaking English through simple dialogue practices. Moreover, descriptive feedback encouraged students to correct their mistakes and increased their learning motivation. This study concludes that descriptive study strategies enable teachers to reflect on their teaching practices while improving the quality of English learning in madrasah. The findings contribute to enriching the literature on English teaching for young learners and serve as practical references for teachers in developing teaching strategies suitable for the characteristics of MI students.

Abstract

Educational background has the potential to influence learning outcomes due to differences in previous academic experiences. The number of madrasah graduates in the seventh grade of MTs Ma'had Al-Zaytun in the 2023/2024 academic year is higher than that of non-madrasah graduates. In theory, students with a madrasah educational background have an advantage in learning Arabic. However, there appears to be a lack of enthusiasm among students in attending classes, which has an impact on learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the differences in Arabic learning achievements between madrasah and non-madrasah graduates and to identify the factors that influence them. The research uses a mixed methods approach with an explanatory sequential pattern. The quantitative stage is carried out first and reinforced through qualitative analysis. The comparative quantitative approach uses probability sampling with a proportionate stratified random sampling type. The sample consisted of 80 students (53 madrasah graduates and 27 non-madrasah graduates). Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and interviews. Data analysis was performed using the T-test. A qualitative approach was conducted through interviews with teachers. The results of the study showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.703. Thus, the null hypothesis (H0) was accepted, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was rejected. It can be concluded that there is no significant difference in Arabic learning achievement between madrasah and non-madrasah graduates in grade VII MTs Ma'had Al-Zaytun. Qualitative analysis results reveal factors that influence learning achievement, namely students' initial abilities, learning methods, learning motivation, and academic readiness.

Abstract

The contemporary era is marked by a revolutionary shift in how individuals interact, search for, and process information, a phenomenon fundamentally reshaping the landscape of disseminating religious values and narratives. The methodology employed in this research is qualitative. The findings establish that the core strategy for optimizing digital dakwah (Islamic propagation) involves transitioning the mad'u (audience) from passive consumers to active contributors through the strategic leverage of interactive platform features. Specifically, the utilization of native tools like Q&A and polling serves as a real-time diagnostic mechanism for grasping audience concerns, while Utilizing Live Sessions and Real-Time Dialogues is vital for cultivating intimacy and trust. Furthermore, the User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy is identified as the most effective form of viral marketing, empowering the audience to act as mini-propagators by replicating the message in their own voice and format. For this to succeed, da'i (preachers) must devise Structured and Ethical UGC Campaigns to ensure the message's exponential reach. This optimization model is further strengthened by Closed Community Features such as Telegram or Discord, which function as a "digital classroom" for deep retention and tarbiyah (Islamic education), thereby fostering a strong sense of belonging and long-term loyalty. Overall, through a systematic combination of interactivity, driven UGC, and fortified closed communities, this model guarantees that dakwah in the digital domain achieves broad coverage via invaluable algorithmic signals from UGC, all while maintaining robust communal roots necessary for sustainable social-personal transformation.

Abstract

Basic education plays an important role in the formation of character, knowledge, and social skills of students. However, the learning of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) is often still conventional through lecture methods, making students passive in learning and less interactive with each other. This study aims to describe the applications of the Role Playing method in IPAS learning and to determine its impact on improving social interactions of fifth grade grade stundents of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma’had Al-Zaytun. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation , interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out interactively through reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions with triangulation of technical sources and time to ensure the validity of the data. The result of the study indicate that the application of the Role Playing method has strategic steps that are u seful for creating a fun learning process and are able to create an active and collaborative learning atmosphere. Student become more courageous in expressing opinions, working together, and showing empathy and social responsibility. The positive impact of the applications of the Role Playing method is seen in the establishment of cooperation, assimilation, accommodation and acculturation. Meanwhile on the other hand, negative impacts can be seen from the emergence of controversional competition and conflicts that do not lead to violence. This fosters social dynamics that color differences and learning to respect each other.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis web menggunakan platform Google Sites sebagai sarana pendukung dalam penyampaian materi senam lantai, khususnya teknik dasar gerakan guling depan (rol depan), yang ditujukan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini mengadaptasi model pengembangan instruksional ADDIE yang mencakup lima tahap, yaitu Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate, serta melibatkan dua tahap uji coba kelompok kecil dan kelompok besar. Proses validasi dilakukan oleh tiga pakar: ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli pembelajaran, yang memberikan skor validitas masing-masing sebesar 93%, 97%, dan 90%, tergolong dalam kategori sangat valid. Selanjutnya, hasil implementasi pada peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa media ini menujukan presentase yang valid, dengan perolehan skor rata-rata sebesar 86% pada uji coba kelompok kecil dan meningkat menjadi 95% pada uji coba kelompok besar. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan terbukti mudah diakses, menarik secara visual, serta menyajikan konten secara interaktif, sehingga mendukung proses pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan mendorong kemandirian belajar siswa. Meskipun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa hambatan seperti keterbatasan akses internet dan kemampuan teknologi digital yang beragam di kalangan siswa. Secara keseluruhan, media ini menunjukkan potensi besar sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran PJOK, khususnya materi senam lantai, serta memiliki peluang untuk diadaptasi lebih lanjut dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis web di mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

The problem of this research was the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students due to the teacher's lack of use of varied learning models and media in the teaching process. This study aimed to analyze and describe the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model assisted by Powtoon media on students' learning outcomes in IPAS (Science and Social Sciences) subjects. This research used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design. The population and sample of the study were fifth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Banding Agung, totaling 46 students. Data collection techniques included tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The hypothesis was tested using simple linear regression with the result Fcount ≥ Ftable (39.559 ≥ 4.30). Therefore, it could be concluded that there was a significant effect of the problem-based learning model assisted by Powtoon media on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Banding Agung.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the use of the surrounding environment as a learning resource for Science Education among upper-grade elementary school students. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research analyzed various scientific publications released between 2015 and 2025 that explored the implementation of environmental-based learning. The analysis revealed that integrating the surrounding environment into science learning significantly enhances students’ learning outcomes, motivation, engagement, and conceptual understanding. The environment serves as a natural laboratory, providing concrete and contextual learning experiences aligned with students’ concrete operational development stage. Several teaching strategies, including Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), and Outdoor Study, were found effective in bridging theory and practice while fostering environmental awareness. However, some challenges persist, such as limited time, inadequate facilities, and teachers’ insufficient ability to design environmental-based learning. Beyond academic advantages, this approach contributes to character building and supports the strengthening of the Pancasila Student Profile. Therefore, this study recommends continuous teacher training and supportive school policies to optimize the implementation of environmental-based science learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The importance of developing science literacy in elementary schools to increase the student’s problem solving abilities. By strenghtening science literacy, students are better to understand complex concepts an apply logical reasoning to fine efective solutions. This research made is to analyze the influence of PBL on science literacy skills, creative thingking skills on science literacy competence, and the interaction between PBL, creative thingking skills dan science literacy. This research involved fourth grade students from SDN 137 Cijerokaso Kota Bandung, divided into a experimental and control group. Using a quasi-experimental research design, an instrument to get a creativity is a open-ended task while science literacy was measured using mulyiple choice test. Two-way ANOVA results showed that PBL alone did not significantly affect science literacy skills (sig = 0.726). However, creative thingking skills had a significant impact (sig = 0.008), and there was a significant interaction effect between PBL and creative thingking skills on science literacy (sig = 0.021). These findings indicate that while PBL by itself may not directly enhance science literacy, its combination with student creative thingking skills contributes meaningfully to improving students’ science literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to further explore effective efforts to enhance students’ literacy motivation, particularly in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level. This research employed a systematic literature review method, analyzing national accredited (Sinta-indexed) and international scholarly publications published between 2021 and 2025. The analysis involved identifying, evaluating, and interpreting relevant studies to construct a comprehensive synthesis of current literacy practices. The findings reveal five major strategic approaches: (1) strengthening daily literacy programs through reflective and follow-up activities; (2) implementing project-based and collaborative literacy learning; (3) integrating local cultural content to build emotional relevance and character values; (4) utilizing interactive digital media such as digital storytelling and pop-up books; and (5) fostering collaboration among schools, families, and literacy communities. Within the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum, these strategies align with the development of the Pancasila Student Profile, emphasizing independence, creativity, and critical reasoning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity and effectiveness of the interactive learning media Articulate Storyline 3 on international trade material. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation & Evaluation). The data collection technique was carried out by testing the validity of learning media experts and material experts, as well as conducting a media feasibility test on 8th grade junior high school students. From the results of the media validation, it was obtained that this interactive learning media had an average value of 4.35 and could be interpreted as very feasible, and the results of the material validation had a range of X values ​​> 4.6 with a very feasible category. The results of the feasibility test by students had a score of 93% with a very feasible category. Based on the results of the data processing, it can be concluded that the interactive learning media based on Articullate Storyline 3 on international trade material is categorized as very feasible to use.
