Abstract

Science learning in the 21st century requires strategies that can foster active thinking, reflective ability, collaboration, and contextual application of concepts. This article conceptually reviews the MACCA (Mindful Analysis, Collaboration, Creation, and Application) learning model as a constructivist approach grounded in the macca cultural values of the Bugis people in South Sulawesi. The macca value reflects wisdom, prudence, and careful reasoning, which align with the reflective character emphasized in ecosystem learning. This study employs a literature review method by examining various works related to constructivist theory, reflective and collaborative learning, as well as the integration of local wisdom in science education. The findings indicate that MACCA adapts Vygotsky’s principles of social constructivism to a local cultural context through four interconnected stages: Mindful Analysis, Collaboration, Creation, and Application. These four syntaxes create a learning process that is reflective, creative, collaborative, and applicative, contributing to the development of students’ critical thinking, social responsibility, and ecological awareness. Thus, the MACCA model not only offers a culture-based pedagogical innovation but also strengthens the linkage between constructivist theory and contextual learning practices in supporting the Merdeka Curriculum and the advancement of sustainable scientific literacy.

Abstract

Differentiated learning (DL) is considered a strategic solution to address student diversity in learning readiness, interests, and learning profiles in elementary schools (SD). However, there are still some problems in implementing it, mainly because teachers believe that PB means creating completely different lesson plans for each student. Thus, this phenomenon creates a discrepancy between theory and practice. In this case, the inclusive approach actually adds to the teacher's burden rather than improving the learning process. The Merdeka Curriculum, which requires a customized approach, makes this issue even more important. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze inconsistencies in the implementation of PB in elementary schools, particularly regarding the differences between the ideal concept and the reality on the ground. The research also attempts to identify the main barriers stemming from perceptions and support structures. The research employed the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which involved bibliometric and thematic analysis of twenty scientific articles obtained from the Sinta database (2020–2025). After data was collected thru a systematic search using relevant keywords, a thorough analysis was conducted to identify key themes, supporting elements, and constraints. The results show that the main problem is not a lack of conceptual understanding, but how teachers perceive the complexity of PB, which leads to resistance. This condition is made worse by structural issues such as time constraints and administrative responsibilities. PB increases motivation and learning outcomes, but its implementation is often ineffective. This study provides novelty by identifying PB anomalies as a "burden" rather than a "liberation" and suggesting policy changes that focus more on institutional support

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran penting layanan orientasi dalam mendukung penyesuaian akademik peserta didik baru. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk memperoleh (1) Sasaran, manfaat dari orientasi, (2) Berbagai macam orientasi, (3) Proses dan kegiatan orientasi, serta (4) Evaluasi efektivitas program orientasi. Program pengenalan adalah suatu layanan yang terencana untuk mendukung siswa dalam menyesuaikan diri dengan suasana sekolah atau universitas yang baru. Proses adaptasi ini krusial bagi penyesuaian akademik, di mana siswa harus memahami kurikulum, metode pengajaran, dan ekspektasi akademik yang baru. Salah satu bentuk implementasi orientasi di tingkat sekolah adalah Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS), merupakan kegiatan wajib untuk memperkenalkan siswa pada sistem pendidikan, tata tertib, serta nilai-nilai yang dianut sekolah. Lebih dari sekadar pengenalan fisik, MPLS menjadi fondasi bagi siswa untuk memulai perjalanan akademik mereka dengan baik. Keberhasilan program orientasi seperti MPLS, yang diukur melalui evaluasi, menjadi kunci untuk memastikan siswa dapat berintegrasi secara optimal dan mencapai keberhasilan akademik di lingkungan pendidikan yang baru.

Abstract

The development of a Student Worksheet (LKPD) based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) was motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of fourth-grade elementary school students in the topic of plane figures. Learning activities that remain teacher-centered, the lack of varied teaching methods, and limited learning media have made it difficult for students to relate mathematical concepts to real life situations. The purpose of this study was to develop a CTL-based LKPD that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the mathematical communication skills of fourth-grade elementary school students.This research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) proposed by Thiagarajan. The research subjects included material experts, media experts, classroom teachers, and fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Glagah. Data collection techniques involved observation, interviews, expert validation, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests through pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed descriptively both qualitatively and quantitatively with the help of SPSS using the Paired Sample t-Test and N-Gain Score calculation.The results showed that the CTL-based LKPD obtained a material expert validation score of 86.6% and a media expert validation score of 86%, both categorized as very feasible. The student response reached 86.5% and the teacher response 95%, indicating that the LKPD was highly practical. The effectiveness test showed a significant improvement (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.089 < 0.05), which means there was a significant difference in students’ learning outcomes. The average N-Gain Score of 0.69 was categorized as high. Therefore, the CTL-based LKPD was declared valid, practical, and effective in improving fourth-grade students’ mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the language variation based on social stratification in Mabbiring Village, Sibulue District, Bone Regency, viewed from the economic level. Data were obtained from 81 daily conversations divided into three economic categories: low, middle, and high. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with participatory observation, interview, documentation, and recording techniques. The results show differences in language variation in four main aspects: lexical choice, sentence structure, speech style, and formality level. The low economic group tends to use local and concrete vocabulary, simple sentence structures, and casual speech styles. The middle economic group uses more varied forms both lexically and syntactically with a moderate level of formality, while the high economic group demonstrates a more formal, structured, and symbolic variety. Factors influencing language variation include education level, occupation, social environment, language habits, and cross-strata interaction intensity. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Seven Habits of Great Indonesian Children (7KAIH)program in madrasahs across East Kalimantan by examining four key dimensions: political, economic, social, and cultural. The program is designed to cultivate students’ superior character, independence, and social awareness, aligning with Indonesia’s human resource development agenda to enhance global competitiveness. The research employed a quantitative-descriptive evaluative approach using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model. Data were collected from teachers, principals, and parents in five madrasahs: MIN 1 Samarinda, MIN 2 Balikpapan, MTsN 1 Tenggarong, MAN 2 Bontang, and MAN IC Paser. The findings indicate that the overall implementation level of the program falls under the “good” category, with an average score of 83.6%. The social and cultural dimensions achieved the highest score (86.4%), followed by the economic (82.7%) and political (81.8%) dimensions. Policy implications emphasize strengthening the role of madrasahs as agents of national character formation, integrating character education into regional policies, and providing sustained economic and social support to ensure long-term program implementation.

Abstract

Pendidikan Al-Qur'an menuntut kualitas bacaan (tahsin) yang tinggi (Tartīl, QS. Al-Muzzammil: 4), sementara kebutuhan akan metode pembelajaran massal yang efektif melahirkan Metode Ummi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan merekonstruksi koherensi langkah-langkah metodologis Metode Ummi dengan prinsip Tartīl dan model pengajaran Nabi Muhammad (Ta'līm Nabawi). Penelitian ini merupakan Kajian Kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif analitis. Data dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Isi Kualitatif terhadap Buku Pedoman Ummi, Al-Qur'an, dan Kutub As-Sunnah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran Ummi yang dibangun di atas tiga pilar (Mutu Metode, Mutu Guru, dan Mutu Sistem) sepenuhnya berkoherensi dengan landasan teologi pedagogis Islam. Mutu Metode yang menerapkan talaqqi-musyafahah secara bertahap (tadarruj) adalah implementasi otentik perintah Tartīl untuk menuntaskan hak-hak huruf. Prinsip "mudah dan menyenangkan" (joyful learning) dalam metode ini merupakan representasi nyata dari prinsip Taysīr (kemudahan) dalam Ta'līm Nabawi (HR. Bukhari no. 69). Selanjutnya, Mutu Guru (melalui sertifikasi) dan Mutu Sistem (melalui Munaqasyah) mencerminkan tuntutan Itqān (ketuntasan) dan Muhāsabah (akuntabilitas) keilmuan, yang merupakan ciri khas Ta'līm Nabawi. Kesimpulannya, Metode Ummi tidak hanya efektif secara hasil, tetapi juga memiliki justifikasi syar'i yang kuat. Disarankan adanya penguatan aspek Tarbiyah dan Tadabbur serta studi longitudinal mengenai daya tahan Itqān lulusan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of literacy trees and outdoor study on elementary school students' scientific literacy. This type of research is an experimental study with a quantitative approach. The research design used is a one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all grade V students of Al-Qudwah Integrated Elementary School, Lebak Regency, totaling 90 people who were divided into four classes, namely: 23 students in the control class (regular) in class V-B, 21 students in the experimental class-1 (literacy tree) in class V-A, 24 students in the experimental class-2 (outdoor study) in class V-C, and 22 students in the experimental class-3 (literacy tree and outdoor study) in class V-D. Determination of samples for each class was carried out using a saturated sampling method. The selection of experimental and control classes was carried out randomly. This study used a written test data collection technique in the form of a science literacy test sheet for science learning. The test sheet consisted of a pre-test and a post-test. Data analysis used t-test and ANOVA. The results of the study showed that there was an influence of literacy trees, outdoor study, and the interaction of literacy trees with outdoor study on scientific literacy in Grade V students of Al-Qudwah Integrated Elementary School. Of the four groups, the interaction of literacy trees and outdoor study provided a better influence, as shown by the results of the Games-Howel analysis with the Post Hoc test that the overall p-value was less than 0.05. The implication of this study is that through the use of appropriate media and learning methods, it will have a positive effect on students' scientific literacy abilities at school.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concepts and theories of curriculum and curriculum planning for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools and madrasas in the context of implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing various relevant scientific sources. Data were collected through a review of 25 scientific articles from SINTA and DOAJ indexed journals published between 2015-2023, curriculum documents, and related books. The results show that the PAI curriculum in schools and madrasas is developed based on the same national curriculum foundation but with different emphasis and contextual approaches. In madrasas, the PAI curriculum is more intensive, comprehensive, and integrative with general subjects, while in schools, PAI tends to be a separate subject with limited hours. Curriculum planning for PAI must consider aspects of needs analysis, clear objectives, relevant content, appropriate methods, and comprehensive evaluation. The success of PAI curriculum planning is highly dependent on the competence of educators, availability of learning resources, and support from the school or madrasah environment. This research implies the need for a holistic and contextual approach in PAI curriculum planning to improve the quality of religious education in Indonesia

Abstract

The digital transformation era presents both challenges and opportunities for art and cultural education institutions in Indonesia. Leadership in this context requires not only administrative and managerial capabilities but also the ability to integrate digital innovation with local cultural values. This study aims to analyze the model of digital leadership in cultural education institutions and to identify effective strategies for maintaining the balance between technological innovation and cultural preservation. This research employed a qualitative approach using a multiple case study design across three Indonesian art and cultural institutions: the Indonesian Institute of the Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta, the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ), and the Nusantara Academy of Arts and Culture (AKSBN). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and institutional document analysis. Thematic analysis was conducted using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña framework. The findings reveal five key dimensions of culturally rooted digital leadership: (1) digital vision grounded in local cultural values; (2) pedagogical innovation in art education through technology; (3) intercultural collaboration and global networking; (4) strengthening institutional digital identity; and (5) ethical and spiritual awareness in digital transformation processes. The proposed Cultural–Digital Leadership Model emphasizes that the success of digital transformation in art institutions is not measured by the level of technology adoption, but by how effectively technology reinforces cultural identity, ethics, and national character. This study contributes theoretically to the development of a culturally grounded educational leadership model and practically provides guidance for policymakers and institutional leaders in designing sustainable and culturally conscious digital transformation strategies for art and cultural education.
