Abstract

Travel plays a crucial role in shaping and influencing the quality of life of emerging adulthood who explore their lives. The motivation for travel is a pivotal factor that determines their view about the influence of travel on quality of life. This study focused on individuals aged 18 to 25 who had traveled at least once in the six years (2018-2024). A total of 212 respondents answered the questionnaires distributed to collect data.. The collected data underwent rigorous analysis using various methods, including descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests, hierarchical cluster analysis, chi-square, and ANOVA. These analyses were conducted with the assistance of the SPSS Statistics version 23 program. The findings of this research indicated that travel has a significant effect on the quality of life of emerging adulthood. Applying cluster analysis to the survey data resulted in the identification of four distinct categories of respondents according to their views on the effects of travel. These categories are (1) the least affected cluster, (2) the cognitively affected cluster, (3) the socially affected cluster, and (4) the most affected cluster. The largest cluster, designated as "cluster 4," encompasses 100 respondents who reported the most significant influence of travel on their quality of life. This research may be utilized to inform the vital role of travel in improving the quality of life of the emerging adulthood segment, as well as to provide suggestions for tourist destinations or travel businesses.

Abstract

This study examines the tax revenue and administration system of the brave in Greater Tangerang in the context of low technology adoption despite the initiation of e-government and smart city programs. The study aims to analyze the factors that influence the revenue system using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. The method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research type, using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze the relationship between variables. Data were collected from 357 taxpayer respondents through a brave questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that perceived ease of use and perceived benefits have a significant effect on attitudes and actual use of the brave tax administration system. System complexity was found to have a negative impact on ease of use, while system compatibility increased the benefits perceived by users. These findings are in line with the TAM framework, which emphasizes the importance of user perception in determining technology acceptance. To increase acceptance of the brave tax system, the government needs to prioritize complexity and improve system compatibility through user education and technical support. The results of the study provide theoretical contributions by strengthening the TAM framework in the context of public digital services, as well as providing practical recommendations for optimizing the implementation of the brave tax administration system.

Abstract

Ecological disasters have resulted in environmental damage such as the sedimentation of the Lemau river estuary and abrasion on the coast of Central Bengkulu Regency. The increasingly critical environmental conditions have encouraged the women of Pondok Kelapa Village, who are housewives, to form the Lemau River Women's Group to participate together in efforts to save the environment. This research highlights the efforts made by the Lemau River Women's Group in responding to ecological disasters and environmental damage in Pondok Kelapa II Village, Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province. A qualitative research method with a descriptive approach was chosen to explain the efforts made by the Lemau River Women's Group in advocating for environmental protection as a response to influence public policy and save the village's coastal area. The research data were collected through non-participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and then the data analysis stage was carried out. The results showed that the efforts made by women's groups in responding to ecological disasters include: non-litigation environmental advocacy as an attempt to influence policies that are environmentally sound and gender-responsive are still being fought for by women's groups today, other initiatives are efforts to adapt and mitigate ecological disasters carried out by groups by switching jobs to find alternative sources of income or economy from the previous way of utilizing marine products, then some initiatives have been carried out by women's groups by planting mangroves which aim to be an ecosystem rehabilitation action for further response to mitigate disasters and save the village coastal area. This research concludes that environmentally conscious women have become a pressure group for public policies that are not ecologically sound and have an impact on the ecological, and socio-economic conditions of the community. Women's groups are also at the forefront of responding to ecological disasters and environmental damage through disaster adaptation and mitigation efforts.

Abstract

The financial management of waste banks plays a crucial role in ensuring their sustainability and accountability. However, many waste banks, including the Langenharjo Waste Bank, face challenges in implementing accounting systems that comply with financial reporting standards. This study aimed to describe the accounting system implementation in Langenharjo Waste Bank and its conformity with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK-EMKM), from its transaction recording system to the final financial statements. This qualitative research applied a case study design with research subjects involving the chairman, the treasurer, and two staff. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation; validated using source and method triangulation; and analyzed using interactive analysis. The results showed that the accounting system implementation in Langenharjo Waste Bank had been conducted regularly and manually in two ways: listing the garbages, the customers and their savings, and the particular journals; and reporting the profit and the loss. The results also indicated that the accounting system implementation at Langenharjo Waste Bank had not conformed with the SAK-EMKM. The main reason was the need for more accounting management knowledge. Some changes needed at the recording stage were making a general journal, completing the classification, and summarizing phases by making ledgers and trial balances. At the reporting stage, it was necessary to prepare the financial position report and notes on financial statements to improve the accounting system at Langenharjo Waste Bank.

Abstract

Communication evolves alongside technological advancements, shaping how individuals and businesses interact. One of the most widely adopted innovations in recent years is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has transformed various sectors, including customer service. This study examines the implementation of Veronika, an AI-powered virtual assistant in the MyTelkomsel application, as part of Telkomsel’s business communication strategy. The findings indicate that Veronika has significantly improved customer service efficiency, increasing response speed by up to 40% and reducing operational burdens on call centers. By integrating AI into digital platforms such as WhatsApp and MyTelkomsel, Telkomsel has enhanced accessibility and service flexibility for its customers. Additionally, Veronika’s adaptation of global AI technology to the local Indonesian context has created a more relevant and user-friendly experience, supporting changes in customer behavior as explained by Technological Determinism Theory. However, despite these advantages, challenges remain, particularly in service personalization and AI’s ability to understand complex queries, which affect user satisfaction. These limitations highlight the need for continuous technological improvements, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and customer interaction models. This research contributes to the ongoing discussion on AI-driven customer service, offering insights into its strategic benefits and limitations. By addressing existing challenges, companies can further refine AI applications to enhance digital engagement and customer loyalty. Future studies should focus on optimizing AI-human interaction to ensure a seamless, personalized customer service experience.

Abstract

Audience trust in news media is a crucial factor in building loyalty and credibility. The emergence of live streaming as a primary medium for news broadcasting has changed audience expectations, requiring news presenters to adopt effective communication styles that enhance trust and engagement. This study aims to analyze the communication styles employed by news presenters in establishing audience trust during live-streaming broadcasts on the Inewstv south sumatra website. Using a qualitative approach, this research employs in-depth interviews with news presenters and audience members, as well as direct observations of presenters' verbal and non-verbal communication styles during live broadcasts. Interpersonal communication theory and media image theory provide a framework for understanding how communication styles influence audience perception of credibility and trust. The findings reveal that an effective communication style characterized by clear language, expressive body language, appropriate tone modulation, and a balance between professionalism and relatability plays a significant role in shaping audience perception. Presenters who exhibit warmth, confidence, and interactivity are more trusted than those who appear rigid or overly formal. Integrating interactive elements in live streaming, such as real-time audience engagement, further enhances the perception of authenticity and transparency in news delivery. The implications of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for the broadcasting industry on improving communication quality and strengthening audience relationships through digital media. By understanding the role of communication style in fostering trust, news media can refine their strategies to deliver credible, engaging, and audience-centered content in an evolving digital landscape.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the identification of issues during the policy formulation process of law number 21 of 2023 concerning the national capital and to conduct a network analysis of policy formulation pertaining to the same law. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. The findings indicate several identified issues, including environmental sustainability, long-term financing, and governance efficiency. The government has implemented several improvements, such as ensuring legal certainty, long-term financing, flexible and responsive regulations to change, and the sustainability of national capital development. This process reflects the government's efforts to address shortcomings in previous policies, particularly regarding the strengthening of legal and socio-cultural positions. Nevertheless, in areas related to economic aspects, funding management, and environmental issues, there is limited public criticism or input accommodated. Furthermore, the interaction patterns among actors (policy networks) indicate an increase in public participation space, although the central government's dominance as an aggregator of interests still significantly influences other actors in the policy formulation process, leading to a closure in policy options. The policy formulation process of law number 21 of 2023 concerning the national capital has not achieved a balance among the stakeholders involved.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the largest archipelagic country in the world, relies heavily on maritime transportation, which is crucial for connecting its islands and facilitating trade. With its vast maritime territory, the country faces significant challenges in ensuring the safety and security of sea transport. The implementation of effective regulations and the integration of data related to maritime safety and security are vital for minimizing risks, particularly in busy ferry ports like Tanjung Uban. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a web-based data integration policy for maritime safety and security at the Tanjung Uban Ferry Port, focusing on the integration of safety data to improve public services. Using a qualitative research approach, the study gathered data through interviews with key stakeholders such as port officials, ASDP representatives, and relevant government agencies. Data was also collected through document reviews and observations. The findings indicate that the shift from manual data management to an integrated web-based system has significantly improved communication, efficiency, and access to safety-related information across involved agencies. The integration of this data not only facilitates smoother coordination but also enhances the ability to monitor and ensure the safety of passengers and vessels. The study concludes that the successful implementation of web-based data integration has the potential to improve the quality of maritime safety and security services, providing a model for other ports in Indonesia and enhancing the overall maritime infrastructure.
