This research employs a quantitative approach, with primary data gathered through questionnaires distributed to salt farmers across various regencies/cities in East Java Province. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling-partial least squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software to address the study’s objectives. The study results indicate that institutions positively influence sustainable production, with blue technology as a significant mediator in the relationship. In addition, knowledge management has also been proven to have a positive effect on sustainable production, where blue technology again significantly mediates this relationship. Overall, blue technology has a positive impact on the sustainability of salt production in East Java Province. This study offers novelty by highlighting the role of blue technology as a mediator in the relationship between institutions and knowledge management with sustainable production. In addition, this study emphasizes the importance of blue technology in increasing efficiency, reducing environmental impacts, and strengthening the adoption of innovative production method technology, waste management, salt processing products, and the use of renewable energy in more environmentally friendly salt businesses, which have not been widely discussed before.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of prior knowledge and learning motivation on the learning outcomes of class VII students at SMP IT Al Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa. Carried out in May-June 2024 with a population of 126 students, the research used a total sampling method. Data analysis includes validity, reliability, normality, correlation, regression and hypothesis tests. The research results showed that all measurement instruments for initial knowledge and learning motivation were declared valid and reliable. The normality test shows that the data is normally distributed. The correlation test revealed a significant relationship between prior knowledge (r = 0.601) and learning motivation (r = 0.486) on learning outcomes. Multiple linear regression analysis produces the equation Y = 32.638 + 0.393X1 + 0.259X2, which shows that both prior knowledge and learning motivation have a significant positive influence on student learning outcomes. Hypothesis testing shows that the t-values for prior knowledge and learning motivation are 6.017 and 3.172 respectively, with a significance of 0.000 and 0.002, both of which are smaller than 0.05. The F test shows that the simultaneous influence of the two independent variables on learning outcomes is also significant, with an F-calculated value of 42.662. These results emphasize the importance of prior knowledge and motivation in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of sanctions for problematic students at the Darul Hikmah Islamic Boarding School, Taman Pendidikan Islam Medan. As an Islamic educational institution, Islamic boarding schools have an important role in shaping the character and morals of students. However, it is not uncommon to find students involved in violating existing rules. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the understanding of the implementation of sanctions applied in the Islamic boarding school. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with Islamic boarding school administrators, teachers, and students involved, as well as direct observation of the process of implementing sanctions. The results of the study show that the Darul Hikmah Islamic boarding school implements various types of sanctions, ranging from verbal sanctions to physical sanctions that aim to educate and improve student behavior. However, the implementation of these sanctions still faces several challenges, such as differences in perception of the fairness of sanctions and the psychological impact on students. This study suggests the need for periodic evaluation of the sanction system implemented to be more effective in educating students and creating an environment conducive to their spiritual and moral development.
