Abstract

This research is based on the contribution of leg muscle strength to the results of volleyball smashes. So, it is necessary to increase strength through a training program to produce good smash results. This study aimed to determine the effect of burpee exercise variations on increasing leg muscle strength and volleyball smash results. This research method is a quasi-experimental research design experiment with a pretest-posttest. The subjects involved in this study were male volleyball players of North Sumatra Club, with purposive sampling and subject collection techniques, the total subjects involved amounted to 10 players. The instrument used in this study is leg muscle strength using the vertical jump test, which is usually done to determine the strength of the leg muscles or an athlete's explosive power while measuring smashing skills for fast and targeted target attacks using Lavage's smash skill test instructions. Analysis of research data Analysis of data using statistical formulas to prove whether the hypothesis data that has been proposed is accepted or rejected by the Liliefors test. Based on the results of the calculations, the hypothesis is that vertical jump = 6.026> 1.859, so burpee training variations significantly influence leg muscle strength. Smash results, hypothesis obtained count smash results = 8.664 ttable> 1.859, So there is a significant influence of burpee training variations on the smash. This study concludes that burpee variation exercises can be an alternative to increase leg muscle strength and volleyball smash results.

Abstract

Physical activity, sleep quality, and stress levels on physical fitness in adolescence can increase the positive value of adolescent students' development in doing all activities. At the same time, previous research has shown that physical activity, stress levels and sleep quality strongly influence each of these activities in the context of positive influences. Because adolescent activity is so high, the study examined this relationship in everyday life. The design and method used in this study were correlational, with 200 adolescent students involved in this study who selected purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are questionnaires, among which IPAQ is a questionnaire with a physical activity measurement scale. Sleep quality using PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index). Stress rating scale using DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scales). Physical fitness is measured using the Indonesian Physical Fitness Test for 16-19 years. Data analysis using Spearman's rho correlation test using SPSS application version 26. This study found that in physical activity with adolescent physical fitness, Sig. 0.714 > 0.05 was obtained, which shows a significant relationship between physical activity and physical fitness. Sleep quality with physical fitness in adolescents obtained Sig. Value 0.826 > 0.05, so there is a significant relationship between sleep quality and physical fitness in adolescents. At the level of stress related to physical fitness, they obtained Sig. Values of 0.000 < 0.05 mean that no significant relationship exists between adolescents' stress levels and physical fitness.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the intervention of hockey games in improving motor skills and physical fitness in adolescents. The research method used in this study was an experiment involving a control group. This research uses a pre-test-post-test randomized control group design, with a total sampling of 30 adolescents divided into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group, each comprising 15 people. The determination of group division is divided randomly, and all subjects involved are used. Instruments used Children's Psychomotricity and Aptitude Scales (MSCA, USA). Physical fitness using physical fitness test instruments, which have been adjusted to the characteristics of the research subjects. The results showed that the intervention for 12 weeks in indoor hockey activity, intervention, and gross motor intervention showed a significance value of 0.034. Because the significance value < 0.05, Ho was rejected, compared to the results of participants in the study who were given an independent intervention program. The physical fitness data shows that the pre-test standard deviation is 1.30440 compared to the post-test 1.61211, this means that there is an increase in adolescent physical fitness. Thus, indoor hockey intervention has a significant influence on the physical fitness of adolescents. These findings prove that interventions in the form of physically engaging activities focusing on floor hockey sports may be a viable option for improving Motor Proficiency and Physical Fitness in Adolescents.

Abstract

Physical training on improving court tennis service skills in adolescent athletes is one part of mastering skills for teenagers. However, not all exercises that have been done by teenagers can be successful in mastering tennis serve skills. The main objective of this study is to explain physical training to support service skills in tennis. This study follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) and Meta-analysis. Scientific articles are obtained from Elsevier, Pubmed, Science Direct, Web of Science, National Index, Google Scholar, and Journal of Sports Coaching. After following the exclusion criteria, only 8 articles remain. The review successfully showed that most research, and quantitative approaches are the methods and types of research used. One important aspect of physical training is support for service skills on the tennis court. The practice study program lasts 3 weeks to 12 weeks. They do one to > two days per week. Conclusion The findings suggest that physical exercise can increase the speed of tennis serves. Recommended physical exercises to improve tennis serve include Exercises, Core Legs, Stability, and Arms. Further research can be continued by mapping research analysis on this topic using other methods to explore various forms of exercises for mastering skills in sports. This literature review can also be continued by discussing other topics related to mastery of skills.

Abstract

The coaching program with outstanding achievements has indeed been implemented based on the objectives of the coaching itself and the critical factors contained in a program. Factors from an organizational system that is not good can also affect achievement results. With appropriate stages and fulfilling these factors, it is hoped that achievement will be more easily achieved. Looking at the introduction above, it is clear that Indonesian floorball still has many obstacles in its sports management system. Still needs to be developed in all regions of Indonesia. Besides that, Indonesian floorball athletes' performance is considered less able to match Asian countries. Hence, this study aims to evaluate the sports organization system and the implementation of floorball athletes in the Indonesian Floorball Association. The objects of this research include the Chairperson of Floorball at the central and regional levels, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Coach, and 96 athletes who competed in the big eight rounds of the national floorball championship in Jakarta. Data was collected using the mixed method by administering a CIPP questionnaire and giving physical test items to floorball athletes. The output of this research is an evaluation of the sports organization system in which policymakers can improve and create a good formula so that the future organization can be better so that floorball athletes' achievements can increase.

Abstract

This study aimed to the contribution of arm muscle power to the underhand carrier, coordination of hand-eye to the underhand carrier, and stability of the underhand carrier inside the volleyball sport in contributors of Senior High School Muhammadiyah three Palembang. The type of research is quantitative with a correlation design and uses a sampling technique changed into a sampling method. In contrast, all participants of the populace were used as samples, totaling fifty-eight, including 31 guys and 27 women. A push-up test measures instruments. Arm muscle strength and coordination are measured using eye and hand coordination instruments, balance is measured using a Dynamic balance test, and an underhand serve test is used to determine volleyball underhand serve. Data analysis techniques using simple and multiple correlation tests and correlation assessments at the SPSS Model 26 program. The research results show the correlation between arm muscle strength, hand-eye coordination, balance, and underhand serve from a significant value of 0.00, and the value of R = 0.921 is perfectly correlated. This study suggests the contribution of arm muscle power, eye-hand coordination, and stability to floor carrier in volleyball in students.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of online learning for basketball courses at STKIP PGRI Bangkalan compared to offline basketball courses. Employing a true experimental design with a posttest-only control setup, the research gathers data through pretest and posttest scores. The study ensures validity through expert validation and assesses reliability using product-moment correlation. Normality tests are performed with the one-sample Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, while differences are evaluated using an independent sample t-test. This research reveals significant differences between online and offline learning environments. The analysis highlights a decrease in performance during online courses with a mean difference of 9.29870, underscoring the challenges faced by students in adapting to online learning platforms. The study contributes valuable insights into the effectiveness of online learning in physical education, providing a basis for future educational strategies and interventions.

Abstract

Pencak silat is one of the martial arts that needs to be taught from an early age, especially to elementary school students. This study aims to determine the effect of pencak silat learning on improving students' motor skills and character. It will use a quasi-experimental research method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Samples were taken using purposive sampling with the criteria of children aged 10-12 years and routinely participating in training for 12 weeks, totaling 20 students. Data collection techniques used sit ups, V sit and reach, stork stand, and questionnaires to measure student character. The instrument was valid with a reliability value of 0.92. The data analysis technique used an independent sample t-test with the help of the SPSS 29 program, which compared the mean between the pretest and posttest results. The results found that before pencak silat learning, students' motor skills were dominantly in the moderate category. After applying pencak silat learning, the dominant motor skills are in a good category with a P-value for the motor component of 0.004 <0.05, indicating a significant difference between the motor component before and after participating in pencak silat learning. Likewise, the character value of students also experienced a significant increase after pencak silat learning with a P-value of 0.002 <0.05, which indicates that there is a significant difference between character values before and after participating in pencak silat learning.

Abstract

Many runners experience decreased performance and premature fatigue, influenced by various factors, including nutrition. The results of the observations show a high level of fatigue and a need for more performance among runners who are members of the running community in Makassar, especially beginner runners. This research aims to examine the effect of the carbohydrate loading method on improving the performance of the amateur runner community in Makassar. This research used an experimental design involving 60 runners from the amateur runner community in Makassar. Subjects were divided into two groups: an experimental group that applied the carbohydrate loading method and a control group that followed a normal eating pattern. Training to measure runner performance The multistage fitness test (MFT) is the instrument to measure runner performance. Data analysis techniques with t-test (paired sample t-test) to see differences using spss version 20. Data analysis showed significant improvements in performance improvement with the carbohydrate application method. The average performance value increased in the experimental group to 46.18 compared to the control group to 37.21. This increase can be seen from the calculated t-value of 13.75. So, the carbohydrate loading method influences performance. The carbohydrate loading method is an effective strategy for improving the performance of running athletes, especially in the Makassar runner community. With proper application, this method can help runners achieve peak performance, reduce fatigue, and increase efficiency during training and competition.

Abstract

The survey in North Sumatra was conducted by researchers in the areas of Medan, Tanah Karo, Tebing Tinggi, Asahan, Serdang Bedagai, Deli Serdang, Labuhan Batu, Tanjung Balai, Humbahas, and Binjai, many coaches and athletes still do not have adequate guidance in Indonesian. Most of the information is still in foreign languages, making it difficult to understand Sambo's techniques and rules. This study aims to develop a digital application-based sambo sports book. Method, in this research, uses the research and development (R&D) method. The research subjects consisted of 10 athletes, coaches, and sambo sports enthusiasts for the main field trial and 20 athletes, coaches, and sambo sports enthusiasts for the operational field trial. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with instruments in the form of feasibility assessment sheets from sambo sports experts, linguists, media experts, and user subjects. Data analysis was carried out using a percentage quantitative descriptive technique. The results showed that this digital application-based sambo sports book was very good and feasible. This book has great potential to improve the understanding of sambo techniques and rules among athletes, coaches, and sambo enthusiasts by providing easy-to-understand guidelines in Indonesian and emphasizing the importance of technology-based approaches in Sambo.
