Abstract

This community service activity takes the form of education on the introduction of financial investment instruments aimed at providing knowledge and insight to the residents of Air Joman village regarding various financial investment instruments. Research results show that on average Indonesian people carry out savings and investment activities using only 13% of their income. This can be concluded that Indonesian people still have low awareness regarding the importance of investing. The target audience for this community service activity was the villagers in Air Joman village, with approximately 14 people attending. Education regarding the introduction of financial investment instruments is carried out using lecture and question and answer methods. The lecture method is used to explain introductory concepts of financial investment. Meanwhile, the question and answer method provides participants with the opportunity to discuss further the material that has been presented.

Abstract

This research was conducted in the city of Binjai, East Binjai District, precisely in the Sumber Mulyorejo sub-district with the aim of directing the use of social media to develop family businesses so that in the future they can increase the sales of family businesses. Housewives (IRT) can play an active role and empower all their abilities to help the family economy, one of which is through MSME activities. but there are still those who are not very active in promoting the products they produce, so they have not increased their sales turnover too much. Meanwhile, in the era of globalization, communication has used technology via the internet, one of which is through social media, even social media has been used in the business world as a fast and inexpensive sales promotion tool. MSME actors, especially family businesses in this area, need guidance on the use of social media, so they can utilize social media in promotional activities for the products they produce, so that they can help increase family business income in Sumber Mulyorejo Village, East Binjai District in the future. Family business actors responded well, a large number of them asked questions regarding the use of social media in promotional activities

Abstract

The utilization of land by a party in need can be achieved through the transfer of land rights, either through buying and selling or the release of land rights by the holder, with compensation provided by the party in need. Land acquisition involves obtaining land rights by parties in need from the owner. The method employed in the Sepaku River Flood Handling Project involves Pre-Inventory and Location Determination (Penlok) Socialization. The purpose of socialization is to provide understanding to the community about the land to be used in the embankment project and to compensate landowners affected by land clearance. After the socialization, the community eventually agrees to land acquisition due to its positive impact on the surrounding community.

Abstract

The development of technology has led to a transformation in the field of learning into a smart learning environment. However, the unpreparedness of institutions, such as facilities and infrastructure, as well as the lack of digital pedagogy among teachers, such as low technology literacy, a lack of creativity, and confidence in implementing digital-based learning, poses significant challenges. The solution to these problems involves conducting training and utilizing microlearning and microcontent for differentiated learning within the independent curriculum through workshop activities. The method of community service involves the active participation of partners, namely the Geography Teachers' Association of Batu City, in workshop activities. The purpose of this community service is to train in the application of microlearning and microcontent in differentiated Geography learning within the Independent Curriculum. In its evaluation, the workshop activities have had a positive impact on the participants, received support from various parties, and there is follow-up to ensure that the activities are carried out continuously.

Abstract

Lelede village is a village where many people make their living as livestock breeders. So a lot of livestock waste is not utilized and has an impact on the surrounding environment. This service activity aims to provide education and outreach as well as practice making vermicompost. The targets for implementing this service activity are farmer groups, women farmer groups and the Lelede Village community. This vermicompost is made with the help of earthworms (Eudrillus eugeniae). Making vermicompost using worms can reduce pollution from organic waste, one of which is animal waste. The more worms you add, the faster the process of decomposing organic material. The method used in this activity is counseling and training as well as conducting evaluations in the form of pretests and posttests with the result that 100% of participants understand the material provided and participants play an active role in the continuity of the program and are interested in carrying out training activities.

Abstract

Andongsari Village Ambulu District is located in the southern part of Jember, Andongsari village itself is a target village for UNEJ LP2M KKN which is under development into a Prosperous Tourism and Entrepreneurial Village. The majority of people in Andongsari Village work as farmers and agricultural laborers and for general commodities there are rice, corn, cabbage, cauliflower, tobacco and for the main commodity is large chili. Based on the observations of our team, farmers there have been well coordinated through active farmer groups, not only male farmer groups there are also female farmer groups that are also equally active. In addition, farmers there have also known an integrated pest management system by combining chemical, mechanical and biological control systems along with implementing a natural enemy conservation system by planting refugia plants, this is shown by the development of many refugia in each cultivated land. Further search results, the attack of plant disturbing organisms, especially pests in large chili plantations is very high even though the application of synthetic pesticides is high. Excessive application of synthetic pesticides is suspected to be one of the main factors of pest resistance and at the same time the malfunction of refugia technology that has been applied in the field. On the other hand, the application of synthetic pesticides becomes one of the main and largest expenses of large chili production costs. Therefore, to be able to solve these problems, the solutions offered are the first to provide insight into how to identify pests in large peppers and their forms of prevention, the second optimization and arrangement of refugia plant design in cultivated land, the third training and assistance in propagation and conservation of natural enemies (useful insects) as a form of correlation with the refugia system and the last to support the integrated pest management system that has been There is training and assistance in making insecticides and vegetable functions by utilizing vegetable sources from the environment in Andongsari village. So that the farmer group in Andongsari village is able to independently produce refugia, mass multiply natural enemies and produce organic pesticides sustainably and can become an economic business unit for these farmer groups.

Abstract

Pakuan Village is one of the villages in Narmada Sub-district, West Lombok Regency where banana production is very abundant but has not been maximally utilized by the vilagers. Generally, bananas are only sold fresh or banana chips and banana sale. Bananas have the potential to become raw materials for various food products. The limited knowledge of the villagers regarding banana processing technology causes a lack of innovation in producing processed banana products. The purpose of this service activity is to increase villagers knowledge related to banana processing technology to support the strengthening of the capacity of MSMEs in Pakuan Village. This activity involved around 12 MSMEs groups. Activities were carried out in 3 stages, namely preliminary studies, socialization and training, and evaluation. The approach method used was a participatory approach. Through this activity, the villagers succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills needed in processing bananas into jelly candy and fostering community interest in innovating to develop other food products made from bananas. The diversification of banana products can be one way to improve the economy and welfare of the community.

Abstract

Saat ini pengembangan sektor pertanian di masyarakat Desa Kuta masih terbatas pada pertanian berbasis lahan, dan belum banyak mengembangkan pertanian berbasis pekarangan rumah. Pertanian berbasis pekarangan merupakan upaya pemanfaatan tanah kosong di halaman rumah untuk mengembangkan komoditas – komoditas sederhana guna memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari.Salah satu komoditas potensial untuk pertanian berbasis pekarangan adalah jamur tiram, karena tanaman ini cukup adaptif dikembangkan pada berbagai kondisi wilayah, praktis dan relatif mudah diterapkan. Jamur tiram telah banyak dibudidayakan di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia dan umumnya dikembangkan dengan menggunakan media tanam (substrat) serbuk gergaji (baglog), namun terkadang di wilayah perkotaan ataupun di desa yang maju seperti Desa Kuta Kabupaten Lombok Tengah serbuk gergaji sulit untuk dicari dan tidak tersedia dengan bebas di pasaran sehingga serbuk geraji perlu dicari penggantinya dengan bahan yang lebih mudah diperoleh. Salah satu solusi dari permasalahan ini adalah penggunaan kardus bekas. Kardus bekas merupakan salah satu pilihan media yang tepat untuk menggantikan serbuk gergaji karena sifat materialnya yang cukup serupa, kardus bekas mampu menahan kelembaban selain itu penggunaan kardus bekas akan mengurangi timbunan sampah di masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dalam rangka pelaksanaan KKN Universias Mataram yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada masyarakat Desa Kuta agar dapat meningkatkan penghasilan keluarga dengan budidaya jamur tiram skala rumah tangga menggnakan media kardus yang telas melaului pemrosesan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode FGD dalam penyuluhannya diikuti serangkaian pertemuan pelatihan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah peserta memperolah pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang teknik pengembangan jamur tiram menggunakan media tanam kardus bekas mulai dari tahap budidaya hingga pemasarannya.

Abstract

East Lepak Village is one of the large cayenne pepper producing areas in East Lombok Regency. Cayenne pepper is a commodity that is the choice of farmers in East Lepak Village because the demand is quite high, but at harvest time the selling price of cayenne pepper becomes very low and has the potential to harm farmers. In such conditions, one solution that can be offered is to carry out agro-industrial activities (processing) of cayenne pepper into shredded. The purpose of this service activity is to foster farmers to be more skilled in processing cayenne pepper into shredded cayenne pepper, and to increase farmers' insight into entrepreneurship. Shredded cayenne pepper is a processed chili product in the form of dry, ready to serve, has a high shelf life, is practical to carry and store and has a high selling value. The implementation of the activity was carried out in the form of lectures, discussions, and practice of making shredded cayenne pepper. The material for implementing the activity was delivered directly by the implementation team who was also the resource person, so that the activity could run effectively. The results of the service showed that the participants showed a fairly good response, and participated actively in following the entire series of service activities. There was an increase not only in the cognitive and affective aspects but also in the psychomotor aspects, where there was an increase in the knowledge of the participants, where the participants were able to make and package shredded cayenne pepper ready for market. This success is expected to be able to increase the added value of the cayenne pepper commodity and become a source of additional income for family farmers in East Lepak Village.
