Abstract

This study aimed to develop a bilingual children’s storybook (Sanggar–Indonesian) grounded in the local wisdom of Su’u Sawa’u Sia Sawale to enhance students’ basic literacy in the Sanggar language. The objectives were to examine the developmental process of the product using the R&D approach with the ADDIE model and to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the resulting product in improving Sanggar language literacy among students. The product was trialed to 15 students at SDN 2 Piong, Sanggar District, Bima Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Data collection employed questionnaires and pre–post tests. Validation was conducted by three experts: the material expert awarded a perfect score of 20/20 (100%), the media expert scored 18/20 (90%), and the third validator (a teacher and native speaker of Sanggar) gave 40/40 (100%), producing an average feasibility rate of 97% (Very High). During implementation, students’ Sanggar language literacy scores increased significantly from an average pretest score of 16.67 to a posttest average of 76.93, demonstrating that the developed product is both feasible and effective in improving students’ basic literacy in Sanggar language.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Canva-based information technology as an interactive learning medium to improve learning effectiveness in Vocational High Schools (SMK). The use of Canva allows teachers to design materials that are more visual, engaging, and easily understood by students. Interactive designs produced through this platform are believed to increase learning motivation, active student engagement, and strengthen conceptual understanding in various vocational subjects. This study uses a descriptive approach by reviewing the implementation of Canva in the learning process, including planning, implementation, and student responses to the media used. The results show that Canva makes a positive contribution to learning effectiveness by increasing learning interest, ease of access to materials, and flexibility in content presentation. Thus, the use of Canva is recommended as an alternative, innovative learning medium in vocational high schools to support a more effective and engaging educational process.

Abstract

This study is an Analytical study about students’ achievement in teaching and learning English through English texts. The object of this study is the second year students at MA Putra Al Islahuddiny Kediri in academic year 2025/2026. The total number of the population were more than 100 students, so that the writer reduced the population into sample then the writer got 72 students. The object of the study was teaching English through English texts. After being taught, the students then given some test. The result of the test given shown the average score: 6,125. It is conveniently to judge that the students' achievement in learning english through English text is good enough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of an Android application-based e-module on improving students' learning outcomes in cognitive and psychomotor aspects, as well as on their interest and motivation in learning about hairdressing graduation techniques at SMKN Surabaya. The background of this study is based on the low learning outcomes, interest, and motivation of students in participating in hairdressing practical learning. This study uses a Pre-Experimental Design method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design model. The study population includes all 105 students of grade XI Beauty Treatment at SMKN 8 Surabaya, with 33 students of grade XI KC 2 as samples determined using purposive sampling. The research instrument consists of a multiple-choice test to measure cognitive learning outcomes and a questionnaire to assess interest and motivation in learning. Data were analyzed through validity, reliability, difficulty level, discrimination power, normality test, and paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, with an average cognitive score of 88.9 and psychomotor score of 91.5. The t-test yielded a value of 14,446 with a significance of 0.000, which means there is a significant difference before and after the use of the e-module. In addition, students' learning interest reached 95% and learning motivation 88%, both of which are classified as very good. The conclusion is that the implementation of the Android-based e-module is effective in improving cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes, while also being able to foster students' interest and motivation in learning. This e-module is recommended as an alternative innovative learning media that supports practical learning in vocational schools, especially in the competency of graduation technical haircutting.

Abstract

This study examines the principal's managerial leadership in improving teacher quality at SMAN 1 Ambalawi and SMA Darul Husna Ambalawi through a structured and practical needs-based approach. This research is motivated by the importance of principal leadership in improving teacher quality to create quality education. This study aims to describe planning in improving teacher quality in principal leadership at SMAN 1 Ambalawi and SMA Darul Husna Ambalawi. This study uses a qualitative method with a multi-case study approach to describe the principal's managerial leadership in improving teacher quality at SMA Negeri 1 Ambalawi and SMA Darul Husna Ambalawi, Bima Regency. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analyzed using data condensation techniques, data display, and conclusions. Triangulation was used to validate the validity of the data. The results showed that principals focused on planning to improve teacher quality through needs identification, training, supervision, and the application of a collaborative approach. Training programs involving technology, creative methods, and professional workshops, as well as open communication and awards for outstanding teachers, contributed to the continuous improvement of teacher competence. The principal acts as a facilitator by providing motivation and constructive feedback, creating a work environment that supports innovation and learning. The leadership strategies implemented play a crucial role in building a productive and sustainable learning culture.

Abstract

This study analyzes the phenomenon of "double fatherless" as a manifestation of unconscious gender bias in the Indonesian education system, focusing on the absence of male figures in both family and school contexts. Through literature review, analysis of training documents (INOVASI), and examination of empirical cases, the research identifies that unconscious bias against men results in stigmatization of male teachers in early childhood education while simultaneously creating a double burden for women who bear both domestic and public roles. This study connects this global phenomenon to local Indonesian context, particularly the nyentana practice in Tabanan Bali which displays gender ambivalence: strengthening women's position as heirs while multiplying their social responsibilities. Using frameworks of relational justice (Nancy Fraser and John Rawls) and critical education theory (Paulo Freire, John Dewey), the research proposes a reorientation of education that accommodates not only gender equality in a narrow sense, but also recognition of male vulnerability and complexity of gender relations in multiethnic Indonesian contexts. Research findings indicate the need for teacher training based on critical awareness of symmetrical gender bias, gender-sensitive curriculum accommodating non-mainstream families, and inclusive policies that position men in caregiving roles without stigma. Practical implications include redesigned teacher training, reform of recruitment policies, research on student resilience in gender-responsive family and school contexts, and important implications for early grade reading literacy development.

Abstract

This research discusses the Implementation of Communication Principles in the Public Relations Strategy of DP3A Bogor City in Disseminating Information on Instagram. The study aims to explain how communication principles are applied in DP3A’s public relations strategy and to identify the challenges faced in disseminating information through Instagram. The findings show that the DP3A Public Relations team implements the principles of communication based on the Theory of Strategic Communication, which include credibility, context, content, clarity, continuity and consistency, channel, and audience capability. These principles are reflected through various communication strategies such as creating informative and interactive content (reels, feeds, stories), utilizing Instagram features (direct messages, comments, story games), and managing audience engagement based on demographic and behavioral analytics. DP3A’s PR also maintains consistency through scheduled campaigns addressing women’s and children’s issues. Overall, the implementation of strategic communication principles strengthens the effectiveness of information dissemination and supports DP3A’s goal of building a positive public image through digital platforms

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the integration of a Large Language Model (LLM)-based AI chatbot named ‘GURU DIGITAL’ in improving the numeracy literacy of elementary school students in the Frontier, Outermost, and Disadvantaged (3T) areas. Addressing the challenges of educational disparities and low numeracy achievement in the 3T areas, ‘GURU DIGITAL’ is designed with an adaptive learning module that integrates local Sasak content, creating a personalized and culturally relevant learning experience. The research method uses a mixed method approach that combines Research and Development (R&D) with Participatory Action Research. The results show that ‘GURU DIGITAL’ was successfully developed with high NLP accuracy and an engaging adaptive module. Implementation in the field showed enthusiasm from students and teachers. A quantitative impact evaluation revealed a significant increase in students’ numeracy literacy in the experimental group (p < 0.001) compared to the control group, as measured by the Numeracy AKM. The proportion of students in the experimental group achieving the “Proficient” and “Advanced” categories increased drastically from 18% to 65%. Qualitatively, students and teachers reported high levels of satisfaction with ‘GURU DIGITAL’ due to its ability to provide easy-to-understand explanations, a fun learning environment, and personalized learning support. This study concludes that the integration of the ‘GURU DIGITAL’ LLM-based AI chatbot is a highly effective and potentially transformative innovation in improving numeracy literacy among elementary school students in the 3T (third-to-third) regions, while simultaneously leveraging local cultural contexts in the learning process. Recommendations include the replication and scalability of this model to ensure equitable access to quality education across the 3T (third-to-third) regions.

Abstract

This study examines the use of Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) in enhancing the quality of live streaming content on YouTube from a communication science perspective. The rapid development of digital technology has shifted conventional broadcasting into interactive and real-time live streaming. The key challenge is not only ensuring smooth technical performance but also strengthening audience engagement, communication effectiveness, and two-way interaction. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with an interpretative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three gaming content creators on YouTube, direct observation, and literature review. The analysis process followed open coding, axial coding, and selective coding stages. Findings reveal that OBS functions not merely as a technical tool but also as an interactive communication medium. Features such as integrated chat boxes, custom overlays, and donation notifications significantly enhance audience engagement. Communication effectiveness is improved through scene transitions, overlay texts, and visual layouts that make messages clearer and more appealing. Moreover, real-time interaction is facilitated by low latency and seamless integration with YouTube, creating a sense of closeness between streamer and viewers. The high-quality audio-visual output provided by OBS further ensures viewer comfort and fosters the development of an active digital community. In conclusion, OBS improves both the technical and communicative aspects of live streaming by enhancing engagement, communication effectiveness, and real-time interaction. These findings align with the Uses and Gratification theory, which positions audiences as active participants in evaluating content satisfaction.

Abstract

Mathematics learning on the topic BRSL, particularly the determination of surface area, is often hampered by the abstract nature of the concept and the lack of adequate visual representation. This condition has the potential to hinder students' conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning abilities. We often find that students' understanding and learning outcomes are low on this material. This luper borubung teaching aid is based on the urgency of developing learning aids that can bridge the gap between theory and visual reality. The results of the application of the luper borubung teaching aid show that 71% of students' learning outcomes are in the good category, creating a more enjoyable and meaningful learning atmosphere because they construct knowledge together in groups. The results of the attitude assessment show a percentage of cooperative attitudes, a responsible attitude , a self-confident attitude, and a meticulous attitude
