The growth and development of children are influenced by whether proper nutrition is provided. Stunting is one type of nutritional disorder or malnutrition which is still a problem that occurs in our society. Educational activities are one way to help prevent stunting by providing adequate information to mothers about stunting and its prevention. A community service activity was carried out in Punggur Kecil Village by involving women and cadres through health education activities. This educational activity included the provision of materials on stunting, its prevention, and the treatment of stunting. The participants who are mothers attended to receive health education preceded by the spelling of the pre-test questions. After education, participants were also asked to answer post-test questions. There is a real difference between the results of the pre-test and post-test. This shows the importance of education given to mothers to increase understanding of stunting and its prevention. The role of health workers through the Puskesmas is urgently needed by involving cadres to assist health workers in identifying people who are at risk of having children with stunting so that stunting prevention and treatment can be taken from an early age.

Abstract

Around 468.4 million people or 30% of the population of young women and women of childbearing age (WUS) in the world are anemic. The prevalence of anemia among young women in developing countries varies between 20-70%. Recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) at the 65th World Health Assembly (WHA) agreed on an action plan and global targets for a commitment to reduce 50% of the prevalence of WUS anemia by 2025. (Blanket approach) that is trying to cover all targets of young women who get iron tablets and are required to consume them to prevent anemia and increase iron reserves in their bodies without prior initial screening, namely checking Hb levels. One of the high schools that was the target of the program for administering 52 iron tablets was SMAN 5. In 2022 there will be 439 students in grades 10 and 11 and 100% of them have received 52 blood tablets, but only a few have had a hemoglobin check. Giving iron tablets can increase Hb levels in patients with iron deficiency anemia, but has no effect on patients with thalassemia. The blanket approach does not separate iron deficiency anemia sufferers from other types of anemia such as thalassemia. In female students who suffer from thalassemia, giving excessive blood-boosting tablets can make the liver work harder and have no impact on increasing Hb levels. The blood supplement administration program needs to be evaluated so that it is in line with the target. This community service activity was carried out in order to evaluate the blanket approach program by examining Hb levels and screening for thalassemia in young women who had finished taking 52 tablets of iron supplement. The results of checking Hb levels and screening for thalassemia can be used as a basis for program evaluation. Furthermore, education was provided about the benefits of anemia detection and thalassemia screening in order to prepare for a healthy reproductive period.

Abstract

In the context of post-pandemic recovery of learning from Covid 19, the Ministry of Education and Culture 2022 will roll out the Independent Curriculum Implementation (IKM) program for the Independent pathway category which consists of 3 categories, namely Independent Learning IKM, Changing Independent IKM, and Independent Sharing IKM. Karya Pembangunan (KP) Baleendah High School is a school implementing the Independent Changing IKM category which must implement the Independent Curriculum in the 2022/2023 academic year for class X students, using teaching tools from the government or adapt them according to the conditions of Baleendah KP High School, as well as implementing the Cocurricular Strengthening Project Pancasila Student Profile (5P). In realizing the Pancasila student profile which acts as the main reference that directs educational policies including being a reference for educators in building the character and competence of students, the implementation is carried out through intracurricular, co-curricular activities (5P project), extracurriculars and school culture/climate. The form of community service carried out at KP Baleendah High School is a form of training in carrying out co-curricular activities of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (5P) with the theme "Sustainable Lifestyle", through the topic "SMA KP BERHIAS" (SMA KP Clean, Green, Innovation, and Creation ) which is the second choice of theme, which previously implemented the Bhineka Tunggal Ika theme. The 3 dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile selected are the most relevant dimensions and are a priority scale as the goal of the Sustainable Lifestyle Project, namely (1) Faith, Fear of God Almighty and noble character; (2) Mutual Cooperation; and (3) Creative. This research method uses a qualitative approach to the type of descriptive research. This research was conducted using observation guidelines, interviews, and documentation with research sources, namely the school principal, teachers who served as coordinators, project facilitator teams, and class X students. The results stated that in the activities of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (5P), which was carried out, the ability of teachers as coordinators and facilitators of the 5P project has increased compared to the implementation of the previous 5P Project, so this has a positive impact on student development in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project shown by the emergence of student characters, namely morals in nature who realize themselves as part of the environment, have a responsibility, compassion, and care for the natural environment, realizing that as a human being, he has a duty to protect and preserve nature as God's creation. This made him realize the importance of caring for the environment as an element of the dimension of Faith, Fear of God Almighty, and noble character. Demonstrate the ability to cooperate, care for others, and the ability to share which are elements of Mutual Cooperation, and show creative abilities that are able to modify and produce something meaningful, useful, and impactful. The inhibiting factors for the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile (5P) Project include the limited learning environment for the project because the learning environment between SMA and SMK students is still unified, there are also teachers in a team of facilitators who always rely on other teachers so that when the teacher they rely on cannot attend which sometimes lacks the provision of infrastructure, and still 5P project activities do not go according to the flow of project activities that have been prepared due to the teacher's lack of understanding of the 5P concept

Abstract

Several Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia have begun to transform to make students able to live independently by entrepreneurship. The pesantren curriculum, which used to only focus on studying, is currently coupled with the existence of an entrepreneurial curriculum. One of the Islamic Boarding Schools that has developed entrepreneurship is the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School, Ciamis Regency by implementing entrepreneurship in the subjects of Prakarya and entrepreneurship (PKWU). PKWU is one of the subjects with the hope that students can produce and create more creative, innovative, increase the value of sensibility to the progress of the times while appreciating technology, local wisdom. In addition, students are expected to be able to become entrepreneurs after producing products that have been made. One of the Prakarya and Entrepreneurship learning activities studied at the Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School is the cultivation of kale plants. Santri Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah had the idea to process kale into chips. The priority problem of Pondok Pesantren Al-Mu'aawanah after successfully cultivating kale plants is excessive harvest but not supported by maximum processing and marketing. Kale processing is still carried out traditionally, namely not utilizing machine technology in production activities, causing production results to be low. Furthermore, the marketing of kale chips is still done manually, namely that it has not utilized digitalization technology so that the production results cannot be distributed optimally. The rapid development of technology can be used to support kale processing activities, namely using Vacuum Frying technology and the use of digitalization technology for marketing processed kale products based online, one of which is through e-commerce. The methods used in the training activities are lecture methods, question-and-answer discussions, then continued with the practice of making an e-commerce system. This activity is expected to help the students of The Al-Mu'aawanah Islamic Boarding School in growing entrepreneurship and food security. Activities are planned to run for 7 months starting from preparation, implementation of counseling and training, and reporting

Abstract

Self-medication is an effort in treatment that is carried out independently. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for 2019 regarding health indicators for the Indonesian population, it is known that the data obtained on self-medication by Indonesian people from 2017 to 2019 for self-medication has increased from 71.46%. In Gorontalo Province, self-medication has been carried out by 76.60% of the population. Preliminary studies that have been carried out, many people in Alale Village, Suwawa Tengah District, buy drugs at the weekly market with the intention of self-medication, but there is still a lack of knowledge of proper self-medication and the use of natural plant materials as an alternative treatment. This community service aims to apply the results of research related to self-medication carried out by the community in increasing immunity during the current COVID-19 pandemic. The application is manifested in the form of CBIA (Community Based Interactive Method) in the form of counseling in the form of lectures, discussions, consultations, educational games as well as training assistance for cadres/community groups related to procedures for making traditional ingredients using plants in the surrounding environment. This is to increase knowledge and understand procedures for self-medication using conventional medicines and traditional medicines in the form of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) in dealing with non-communicable diseases, especially at the location of the community service implementation. Community service activities in Alale Village, Central Suwawa District, Bone Bolango Regency were carried out in 2 (two) stages, where stage I included a pretest prior to socialization, providing material and outreach about self-medication, providing drug information services, providing training on how to make simple traditional concoctions. Phase II includes monitoring of self-medication actions, mentoring and monitoring of making samples of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), and evaluation through posttest. The evaluation results obtained from the survey on community service activities show that the community's understanding has increased from 55.5% to 90%. This shows that community service activities have succeeded in increasing the understanding of the people of Alale Village.
