Abstract

Keterampilan sosial anak usia dini merupakan kemampuan anak untuk bersosialisasi atau berinteraksi dengan orang lain dalam konteks sosial, dengan cara-cara khusus yang dapat diterima dan menghindari perilaku yang akan ditolak oleh lingkungan, salah satu faktor anak usia dini lebih menyukai permainan di dalam gadget karena dianggap canggih dan menarik untuk dimainkan. Hal ini menjadi pengaruh punahnya permainan tradisional yang ada di Indonesia, salah satunya permainan tradisional paciwit ciwit lutung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial anak usia dini melalui permainan tradisional paciwit ciwit lutung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak enam anak yang terdiri dari tiga anak perempuan dan tiga  anak laki-laki kelompok B usia 5-6 Tahun. Pengumpulan data yang dilaksanakan yaitu melalui observasi dan wawancara yang dianalisis dengan tiga tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan peningkatan perkembangan sosial anak yang dilihat dari indikator membangun kerjasama,  menghargai orang lain, mentaati peraturan, berkembang sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Hal ini terlihat dari pertemuan pertama, anak belum berkembang dari indikator yang telah dibuat namun mengalami perkembangan yang signifikan pada pertemuan terakhir yaitu pertemuan enam bahwa anak berkembang sangat baik dengan stimulus yang telah diberikan.   Early childhood social skills are the ability of children to socialize or interact with others in a social context in specific ways that are acceptable and avoid behavior that will be rejected by the environment. One of the factors that early childhood prefers is games on gadgets because they are considered sophisticated and interesting to play. This is the influence of the extinction of traditional games in Indonesia, one of which is the traditional game of paciwit ciwit lutung. The purpose of this study was to improve the social skills of early childhood through the traditional game of paciwit ciwit lutung. The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative, with six children as research subjects, consisting of three girls and three boys in group B aged 5-6 years. Data collection was carried out through observation and interviews, which were analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study showed an increase in children's social development as seen from indicators of building cooperation, respecting others, obeying regulations, and developing as expected. This can be seen from the first meeting; the child had not developed from the indicators that had been made but experienced significant development at the last meeting, namely the sixth meeting, where the child developed very well with the stimulus that had been given.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low fine motor skills of children in Group B at Kober Alamanda. These low skills were caused by various factors, including the inability of teachers to identify appropriate models, methods, and learning media. To improve children's fine motor skills during learning, the researchers used the Cooperative Learning model assisted by the demonstration method through cutting activities. The purpose of this study was to examine the use of this model in improving children's fine motor skills. This study employed classroom action research consisting of two cycles, with three meetings per cycle. The subjects of the study were children in Group B at Kober Alamanda. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and ability tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and presented as tables and graphs. The results showed that the application of the cooperative learning model assisted by the demonstration method significantly improved children's fine motor skills. In the final results, five children were categorized as developing according to expectations, seven as developing very well, and none as starting to develop or not yet developing.

Abstract

Kemampuan berbicara merupakan keterampilan yang penting untuk dikuasai oleh setiap anak. Namun, masih banyak anak yang belum dapat berbicara dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kegiatan public speaking terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK ABA Boronguntia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi eksperimental. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 20 anak usia 5-6 tahun, dengan teknik sampling jenuh, sehingga sampel yang digunakan adalah 10 anak pada kelas eksperimen dan 10 anak pada kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan non-parametrik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan public speaking yang dilakukan dengan metode bermain peran (role play) dan show and tell berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara anak. Hal ini terbukti dengan nilai Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.004 pada kelas eksperimen. Speaking ability is an important skill to be mastered by every child. However, there are still many children who cannot speak well. Therefore, Early Childhood Education (PAUD) has a very important role in facilitating children's learning. This study aims to determine the effect of public speaking activities on improving the speaking ability of children aged 5-6 years at ABA Boronguntia Kindergarten. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research design. The study population consisted of 20 children aged 5-6 years, with a saturated sampling technique. Hence, the samples used were 10 children in the experimental class and 10 children in the control class. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, testing, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive and non-parametric statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that public speaking activities carried out using the role-play and show-and-tell methods had a significant effect on improving children's speaking ability. This is evidenced by the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.004 value in the experimental class.

Abstract

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini membutuhkan kemitraan yang kuat antara kepala sekolah dan orang tua untuk mendukung pembelajaran anak secara optimal. Kemitraan ini menuntut strategi manajerial efektif guna membangun komunikasi dan hubungan produktif. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan dengan orang tua, mengevaluasi efektivitas komunikasi, serta menganalisis dampak kemitraan terhadap Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review, yang berfokus pada strategi manajerial kepala sekolah dalam membangun kemitraan dengan orang tua. Data dikumpulkan melalui pencarian di Google Scholar yang mencakup berbagai publikasi ilmiah terkait peran kepala sekolah dalam kemitraan dengan orang tua. Dari 25 artikel yang ditemukan, 14 dipilih sebagai fokus utama penelitian ini. Data dianalisis menggunakan thematic analysis untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama, seperti efektivitas komunikasi, pelibatan orang tua dalam program sekolah, dan strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengatasi hambatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemitraan kepala sekolah dan orang tua berperan signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, memperkuat sinergi antara rumah dan sekolah, serta mendukung perkembangan anak secara holistik. Temuan ini menyoroti peran kepemimpinan dalam membangun kemitraan yang efektif. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam membangun hubungan yang berkelanjutan dan harmonis dengan orang tua.   Early childhood education requires a strong partnership between the principal and parents to support optimal child learning. This partnership requires effective managerial strategies to build productive communication and relationships. This article aims to identify the principal's managerial strategy in building relationships with parents, evaluate the effectiveness of communication, and analyze the impact of partnerships on early childhood education. This study uses the systematic literature review method, which focuses on the principal's managerial strategies in building partnerships with parents. Data were collected through a search on Google Scholar, which includes various scientific publications related to the role of the principal in partnerships with parents. Of the 25 articles found, 14 were selected as the main focus of this study. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify key themes, such as communication effectiveness, parental involvement in school programs, and principal strategies for overcoming obstacles. The results of the study indicate that the partnership between the principal and parents plays a significant role in improving the quality of early childhood education, strengthening synergy between home and school, and supporting holistic child development. These findings highlight the role of leadership in building effective partnerships. This study emphasizes the importance of principal leadership in building sustainable and harmonious relationships with parents.

Abstract

Maria Montessori's thoughts on early childhood education have had a tremendous impact on educators and observers of early childhood development. Maria Montessori developed many theories from various experiences she had while running Casa Dei Bambini, or the children's house, at that time. One of the theories she put forward from her experience was the theory of children's social development. The purpose of this study is to examine the results of Maria Montessori's thoughts related to aspects of social development that she has put forward in her book entitled The Absorbent Mind. This research is library research. The data source in this study is a book by Maria Montessori entitled The Absorbent Mind. The data collection technique used by the researcher in this study is documentation in the form of previous literature, both research and theory. The data analysis technique used is content analysis, where the researcher will reveal the contents of a book that describes the situation of the researcher and his community at the time the book was written. The results of this study show that the aspects of social development developed by Maria Montessori, as stated in her book The Absorbent Mind, are respect, patience, friendship and mutual affection, independence, mutual respect, helping each other, and a sense of togetherness.

Abstract

Rendahnya minat baca pada anak kelompok B di RA Aghniya dilihat dari keseharian anak yang belum tertarik membaca buku, mereka sering menggunakan buku sebagai mainan dan melemparkannya. Hal ini disebabkan karena minat baca anak tidak distimulasi dengan baik sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka. Maka peneliti menggunakan sudut literasi baca karena media ini dapat meningkatkan minat baca pada anak usia dini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah sudut literasi baca dapat meningkatkan minat baca pada anak usia dini di RA Aghniya. Metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dianalisis dengan menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan umus presentase. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok B yang berjumlah 10 anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan minat baca melalui sudut baca. Minat baca pada siklus I mencapai 43%, siklus II mencapai 65% lalu meningkat lebih baik pada siklus III mencapai 83%. Dapat di simpulkan sudut baca dapat meningkatkan minatbaca anak kelompok B di RA Aghniya. The low interest in reading in children in group B at RA Aghniya can be seen from the daily lives of children who are not yet interested in reading books; they often use books as toys and throw them away. This is because children's interest in reading is not stimulated properly according to their needs. So the researcher used a reading literacy corner because this media can increase interest in reading in early childhood. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the reading literacy corner can increase interest in reading in early childhood at RA Aghniya. The research method is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is carried out in three cycles. The research procedure consists of four stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique analyzes observation using quantitative description with a percentage formula. The subjects of the study were 10 children in a group study results study showed an increase in interest in reading through the reading corner. Interest in reading in cycle I reached 43%, cycle II reached 65%, and then increased better in cycle III, reaching 83%. It can be concluded that the reading corner can increase the interest in reading in children in group B at RA Aghniya.

Abstract

Learning and play activities are essential for developing children's creativity. Children’s fine art creativity cannot develop optimally without appropriate stimulation. Enhancing children's fine art creativity requires varied learning media and innovations that utilize natural materials, which are easy to obtain. This study aimed to examine the process and enhancement of children's artistic creativity through the use of natural material media. This study employed classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, involving 18 children in Group B. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods with percentage calculations. Initially, none of the children were categorized as having very good developmental outcomes. Thus, the use of natural material media in Group B at RA Al-Hidayatul Ilmi was found to be highly effective, as evidenced by the increase in the number of children categorized as having very good developmental outcomes.

Abstract

The low critical thinking skills of children aged 5–6 years require an appropriate learning model. The project-based learning model is a child-centered approach that provides direct experiences for children. The purpose of this study was to improve the critical thinking skills of children aged 5–6 years through the project-based learning model at Sinarmulya Playgroup. This study is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart model, conducted in two cycles. The study subjects were 11 children aged 5–6 years at Sinarmulya Playgroup. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that, before the intervention, children's critical thinking development was as follows: Not Developing—60.80%, Starting to Develop—27.40%, and Developing According to Expectations—11.80%. After implementing cycles I and II using the project-based learning model, children's critical thinking skills—measured by indicators such as making observations, asking questions, expressing opinions, connecting cause and effect, classifying by type, conducting experiments, identifying similarities and differences, proposing alternative solutions, and drawing conclusions—increased to: Starting to Develop – 6.40%, Developing According to Expectations – 62.70%, and Developing Very Well – 31%. In cycles I and II, the results showed that the project-based learning model can improve children's critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Shouting is often used as a disciplinary method for children, but it can negatively affect their brain development and behavior. In response, this study aims to identify the impact of shouting and explore preventive strategies to mitigate brain damage and behavioral issues in children. A systematic literature review (SLR) method was employed to answer the research questions in a structured manner, following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. A total of 100 articles were reviewed using the keywords (1) shouting, (2) shouting at children, and (3) the impact of shouting on the brain and behavior. The literature search was conducted using EndNote X9 and assisted by Harzing’s Publish or Perish (PoP), resulting in 10 relevant articles sourced from the Google Scholar database. Data collection involved literature screening and document analysis, followed by content analysis using a thematic qualitative descriptive approach. The results revealed that shouting may impair children's cognitive development (such as memory and concentration), emotional well-being (increased anxiety, stress, and sadness), and behavior (including aggression, withdrawal, and low self-esteem). As preventive measures, the study highlights the importance of loving parenting, gentle communication, positive learning environments, and early intervention. These findings underscore the necessity of adopting positive parenting and educational approaches to support optimal mental health and brain development in early childhood

Abstract

Empati memiliki peranan yang krusial dalam mendukung perkembangan sosial emosional pada anak usia dini yang berperan dalam membentuk karakter peduli terhadap sesama. Namun, tidak semua anak bisa mengembangkan empati secara optimal, sehingga dibutuhkan strategi pengajaran yang efektif. Terdapat  pendekatan yang efektif, salah satunya yaitu penggunaan media audio visual yang menarik dan mudah dimengerti anak. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh animasi Nussa dan Rara terhadap empati anak usia 5-6 tahun dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan  dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan One Group Time Series Design, serta melibatkan 20 anak di TK Wahyu sebagai subjek. Data  diperoleh melalui observasi menggunakan skala empati anak usia dini, yang mencakup kemampuan mengenali perasaan orang lain, menunjukkan kepedulian, serta sikap toleransi. Selanjutnya data dianalisis menggunakan uji Friedman dan Wilcoxon utuk mengetahui signifikansi perubahan empati. Hasil uji Friedman menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikansi (χ² = 92.504; df = 5; p = 0.000), sedangkan uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara pretest 2 dengan posttest 2 dan posttest 3 (Z = -4.093; p = 0.000). Dengan demikian, animasi Nussa dan Rara efektif sebagai media pembelajaran dalam menanamkan empati sejak usia dini.   Empathy plays a crucial role in supporting social-emotional development in early childhood, contributing significantly to the formation of caring attitudes toward others. However, not all children develop empathy optimally, highlighting the need for effective teaching strategies. One promising approach is the use of engaging and child-friendly audiovisual media. This study aims to examine the effect of the Nussa and Rara animated series on the empathy of children aged 5–6 years within the context of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group time series design, involving 20 children from Wahyu Kindergarten as participants. Data were collected through observations using an early childhood empathy scale, which assessed the ability to recognize others’ feelings, demonstrate concern, and exhibit tolerance. The data were analyzed using the Friedman and Wilcoxon tests to determine the significance of changes in empathy levels. The Friedman test revealed a significant effect (χ² = 92.504; df = 5; p = 0.000), while the Wilcoxon test showed significant differences between pretest 2 and posttests 2 and 3 (Z = -4.093; p = 0.000). These findings suggest that the Nussa and Rara animation is effective as an educational medium for fostering empathy in early childhood.
