Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) worldwide, including in the village where the author conducted Community Service (Kuliah Kerja Nyata – KKN), in Sawocangkring Village, Cangkring Hamlet, Wonoayu, Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia from August 1st to 31st, 2023. During this community service activity, many local MSMEs experienced setbacks and even had to close down when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country. To ensure the sustainability and recovery of MSMEs post COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to raise awareness of the role of business permits and technological transformation in empowering MSMEs. However, there is still a lack of knowledge and understanding among MSME owners regarding the importance of these two aspects. This community service activity was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, involving observation and interviews. Additionally, primary data was collected through pre and post activity surveys in the form of questionnaires administered to MSMEs owners. In this case, as a pilot project for community service activities, the author focused only on selecting 2 leading MSMEs as partners for this community service activity. The results of this community service activity related to business permits include socialization and assistance in obtaining the Business Identification Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha - NIB). As for technological transformation, socialization and assistance were provided in creating websites for MSMEs, Google Map location services, and e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Tokopedia. In the context of post COVID-19 pandemic MSME recovery, increasing awareness of the importance of business permits and technological transformation plays a crucial role in empowering MSMEs. By enhancing the knowledge and understanding of MSMEs owners regarding legitimate business permit procedures and the benefits of technological transformation, MSMEs can gain better access to markets, financing, and resources needed to recover and grow their businesses.

Abstract

Pondok Pesantren (PP) Jabal Noer faces a double burden of health problems, both communicable and non-communicable diseases. These problems arise due to various factors, especially behavioral and environmental factors. Furthermore, there were also health service problems which makes suboptimal prevention efforts. Pos Kesehatan Pesantren (Poskestren) has not yet functioned as a center for promotive and preventive services. Therefore, the aim of this article is to explain alternative empowerment method that can be carried out to optimize the role of Poskestren cadres as promotive and preventive agents. This community empowerment involves the entire Pesantren community with santri husada cadres who are the key population as agents of change. Cadre empowerment was carried out through training activities and coaching of santri husada cadres every week for around 2 (two) months. After that, cadres are also provided with assistance in developing promotive and preventive programs as well as monitoring and evaluation so that the empowerment process can be sustainable. The results of the community empowerment were 75% of santri husada cadres have experienced an increase in their knowledge and promotive and preventive skills. In addition, 70% of programs developed by cadres through Poskestren have been designed to focus on their main roles and functions in promotive and preventive aspects. Empowering Pesantren community absolutely needs to involve the participation of santri as a key population which in this case can be mobilized by santri husada cadres as promotive and preventive agents. There needs to be a reorientation of health services in Pesantren, so that Pesantren community is not just an object, but must be positioned as subjects who are actively involved in health services.

Abstract

This service is motivated by the non-optimal implementation process of Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile among school counselors. Strengthening the profile of Pancasila students is one of the government programs in the context of an independent curriculum. This effort is urgent to strengthen the noble character of students to become a figure of faith and piety, think critically, creatively, independently, have a broad view and be able to adapt to diversity in Indonesia and the global context, be responsible for all attitudes and actions. All teachers in various types and levels of education are the frontline stakeholders in strengthening the Pancasila learner profile, including at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, both public and private, so teachers must understand the nature and purpose of this program as well as be capable and competent in implementing various strategies and educational techniques to strengthen the Pancasila learner profile. It is very important to strengthen the Pancasila learner profile in students so that Indonesian youth are ready to face the challenges of the Demographic Bonus and global competition. The implementation of service activities is carried out using the 6P method, namely; (1) preparation stage; (2) material preparation stage; (3) socialization stage; (4) training stage; (5) closing stage; and (6) reporting stage. With the application of the Twin-Cycle Experiential Learning Model method, it is hoped that it will be able to foster the character of educators in the application of the Pancasila student profile in schools based on the 6 dimensions of the student profile character.
