Abstract

: The objective of this study is to ascertain how the Team Games Tournament instructional strategy affects students' academic success. A quasi-experimental design was used for this study. The participants were chosen using a random selection method. Students from class A, the experimental group, who were taught utilizing the Team Games Tournament learning model, and students from class B, who were instructed utilizing a scientific manner, made up the sample. The data's normality was evaluated using the Shapiro-Wilk method, homogeneity was tested using the Levene method, and the research hypothesis was tested using the Mann-Whitney method. The Mann-Whitney test findings show that a significance level of 0.02, which is less than 0.05, was reached. This demonstrates that the cooperative learning approach known as the TGT (team games tournament) has a significant effect on student learning results.

Abstract

Every year, bullying has become more common. The IQ of a person is one of the variables that affect bullying. The purpose of this investigation is to determine whether there is a link between spiritual intelligence and the likelihood of student bullying behavior. This study combined a cross sectional methodology with a descriptive correlational technique. Cluster random selection was used to choose the sample for this study, which included 100 people. A bullying behavior risk assessment and a spiritual intelligence questionnaire were both employed in this study, and their results were evaluated using chi-square. Out of 100 kids, the findings revealed that 52 percent had poor spiritual intelligence and a high risk of bullying (73 percent), whereas the remaining 48 percent had strong spiritual intelligence and a low risk of bullying (68 percent). A p-value of 0.000 was found from the chi-square analysis, indicating a strong correlation between spiritual intelligence and the likelihood of student bullying behavior.

Abstract

The realm of employment holds the belief that exceptional human resources are individuals who not only possess technical skills but are also adept in the areas of interpersonal skills. The field of academia has also unveiled that, according to a study conducted at Harvard University in the United States, an individual's success is not solely determined by their knowledge and technical abilities (hard skills), but rather by their capacity to effectively manage themselves and others (soft skills). This study aims to address the significance of maintaining a balance between hard skills and soft skills in the professional world, as well as the necessary steps that tertiary institutions should take in order to adequately prepare their graduates. This is a qualitative study using a phenomenological methodology. Data gathering was conducted through open-ended interviews with HRD managers and students. The findings of the research indicate that there are still numerous higher education institutions that have not equipped students with knowledge or recognition of the significance of maintaining a harmonious blend of technical abilities and personal qualities to meet the requirements of the job market. Students should be provided with educational resources on intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, either through lectures or post-internship discussions.

The research was conducted through a combination of qualitative research methods with case study analysis. The stages of the research were carried out by gathering the data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires, interviews and field observations and then presented in a descriptive manner. The distribution of the questionnaire was carried out on June 8, 2023, while observations and interviews were carried out on June 15 and 16, 2023. The research was conducted on grade 4 and 5 students at SDN 01 Bengkayang, West Kalimantan, in the border area, with 45 students as respondents. The results of data acquisition through questionnaires, observations and interviews show that the integration of digital literacy in the implementation of the independent curriculum has been carried out in schools, in the evidentiary questionnaire can be seen in answers no. 8-10 with an average percentage, agree 70.00%. The effectiveness of implementing the integration of digital literacy and the independent curriculum can be seen from the level of students' understanding of questions no. 1-3 with an average percentage of 75.00% agree. Meanwhile, regarding the availability of supporting facilities in the successful implementation of the independent curriculum, especially the process of integrating digital literacy and their campus, the respondents' answers showed that they were still inadequate with a percentage of 70.00%. The data from the questionnaire results were then strengthened by findings during observations and interviews where in the learning process an integration process of digital literacy was carried out in classroom learning through the implementation of an independent curriculum, while the availability of supporting facilities was still very minimal, this was in line with the results of the research questionnaire.

Abstract

This research discusses the relationship of Lev Vygotsky's constructivist theory to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in Indonesia. In some cases, it is still found that the implementation of PAI learning is carried out through the indoctrination method. Students are given a "black and white" understanding of religion. This conservative approach is carried out to persuade them to obey and comply with religion without any effort to raise critical awareness. Because of this, mechanical tasks are often given to students without supporting the learning process at school, or even just mechanical tasks that are outside the context of basic abilities and competency standards. In more detail, this research examines what aspects of Lev Vygotsky's constructivist thinking are contextual to PAI learning practices in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The research method in this research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature review. The results of the analysis of Vygotsky's constructivism theory and the Islamic learning system have a relevant relationship in the learning process. Evidence connecting Lev Vygotsky's constructivist theory with the PAI learning system in Indonesia can be seen from the implementation of a collaborative approach in PAI learning, where the teacher acts as a mediator in helping students understand religious concepts through interaction and discussion. Apart from that, the use of language as a mediating tool in understanding religious concepts also reflects an important concept in Vygotsky's thinking about the role of language in learning.
