Abstract

This community service program was designed to address the low level of digital literacy among high school teachers, particularly in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into teaching. Observations revealed that most teachers were unfamiliar with AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, making it difficult for them to adapt to technological changes in education. The main problem identified was the lack of practical knowledge on how to use AI to design interactive and meaningful learning materials. To solve this, a structured training program was conducted at MAN Temanggung, consisting of workshops, hands-on sessions, and task-based learning focused on prompt creation and digital lesson planning. The training empowered teachers to explore, implement, and evaluate AI tools in their classrooms. As a result, participants demonstrated increased confidence and competence in using AI to support their teaching. This program contributes to enhancing the quality of education and aligns with the goals of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).

Abstract

Background: Smoking is a major trigger for several long-term (chronic) diseases that can lead to death. According to the 2019 Global Youth Tobacco Survey, 19.20% of students in Indonesia are active smokers, and 65.2% of students are also freely exposed to cigarette advertising. The high prevalence of smoking can impact various aspects, ranging from health, the environment, and the economy, both on a small and large scale. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between media exposure to cigarettes and smoking behavior among male adolescents at MAN 2 Wonosobo. Method: This study was quantitative, with an observational analytical method and a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study consisted of 36 individuals and was selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman correlation test. Results: The results of the univariate analysis showed that media exposure about cigarettes among adolescents was predominantly through television (91.7%) and billboards/large banners on the street (91.7%). Teenagers smoke in coffee shops (8.3%), homes (13.9%), public places (11.1%), and anywhere (5.6%). Conclusion: The Spearman correlation test showed a p-value of 0.235 (p>0.05), indicating no relationship between media exposure and smoking behavior among male adolescents at MAN 2 Wonosobo.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has influenced the management of health services, particularly in financial administration at primary health centers. This study focuses on Segiri Public Health Center Samarinda, which still relies heavily on manual processes in managing the Health Operational Assistance (BOK) fund. Field observations revealed challenges such as delays in reporting, limited human resources, weak coordination, and inadequate use of information technology, all of which hinder service quality. Problem identification using a Fishbone Diagram indicated that the main issue lies in the suboptimal use of digital systems influenced by human, financial, procedural, and infrastructural factors. Alternative solutions were analyzed using the Reinke Method, with the development of a digital application integrated with Google Workspace identified as the top priority, supported by hybrid SOPs, staff training, archive digitization, and budget optimization. The internship findings conclude that strengthening digital-based financial administration is essential to improve efficiency, accountability, and reporting quality, thereby supporting better health services for the community.

Abstract

This Community Service program partners with the community in Sumare Village, Simboro District, Mamuju Regency, which is one of the villages inhabited by farmer groups. Based on initial observations, the farmer groups still rely on traditional methods without adopting modern agricultural technologies such as plastic mulch, drip irrigation, greenhouses, or planting media such as Cocopeat. Production is often a burden, especially when fertilizer prices rise and superior seeds are scarce on the market. Many farmer groups rely on middlemen to obtain fertilizer/seeds, with a burdensome post-harvest payment scheme. One product resulting from the use of coconut fiber is cocopeat. Cocopeat is a processed product of coconut fiber waste, where the separation of coconut fiber produces coconut powder that can be used as a planting medium. The main target is to create new household-scale business units and urban farming communities based on cocopeat, so as to be able to encourage additional income, open informal jobs, and strengthen community food security. The Cahaya Tani Farmer Group has utilized coconut fiber waste to reduce environmental pollution while being an alternative good planting medium for plants.

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and heart disease are the leading causes of death in Indonesia. Low health literacy and limited community participation in the Posbindu NCD program hinder prevention efforts. This community service activity was conducted in RW 04 Kebagusan, South Jakarta, aiming to improve residents’ knowledge and skills in controlling NCD risk factors through health education and self-monitoring training. The program included interactive health education, hands-on workshops on blood pressure and Body Mass Index measurement, and distribution of self-monitoring cards. The pretest average score of 50.67 increased to 81.33 in the posttest, with a significant rise in the “good” and “excellent” knowledge categories. The program effectively enhanced health literacy and community engagement in NCD prevention. In conclusion, participatory community-based education successfully improved awareness, self-care skills, and the community’s sense of responsibility toward sustainable health maintenance.

Abstract

The emergence of the gig economy, driven by advancements in technology, carries notable legal consequences, particularly in Indonesia. This research highlights the lack of legal clarity concerning online transportation (ojek online) drivers, who represent a key segment of gig workers. These drivers are designated as "partners," a classification that fails to grant them comprehensive legal protections or certainty. The aim of this study to examine the legal standing of ojek online drivers amidst this regulatory gap, focusing on their rights as workers under Indonesian law and how it compares to Malaysia’s Gig Workers Act 2025. To conduct this analysis, the study utilizes a normative juridical method, incorporating a conceptual approach, a case study approach, and a comparative analysis. The research draws from various sources including primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials, which are evaluated prescriptively. The results reveal that the lack of explicit legal regulations governing ojek online drivers in Indonesia creates significant potential for uncertainty. Malaysia’s Gig Workers Act 2025 may provide an exemplary framework for regulatory improvements in Indonesia. Establishing a definitive legal structure would not only enhance certainty and fairness for approximately seven million online motorcycle taxi drivers but also benefit other gig workers in Indonesia, whose numbers are anticipated to rise alongside technological growth. The establishment of a separate classification for gig workers—including online ride-hailing drivers—as implemented in Malaysia, could serve as a reference for Indonesia in providing legal certainty without eliminating the flexibility that is inherent to the gig economy phenomenon.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the correlation between students’ writing attitudes and their writing achievement among twelfth-grade students at SMA Tri Sukses Natar. Writing is considered one of the most essential skills in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning since it reflects students’ critical thinking ability, language competence, and confidence in expressing ideas in written form. This research employed a quantitative correlational design involving 23 twelfth-grade science students. The data were collected through a writing attitude questionnaire and a writing achievement test in the form of a descriptive essay consisting of 200–250 words. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 with the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation formula to determine the relationship between the two variables. The results showed that the students’ mean score of writing attitude was 2.87, indicating a neutral to positive attitude, while the mean score of their writing achievement was 55.91, which falls into the “fair” category. The correlation result showed that r = -0.131, indicating a very weak and negative correlation, which is statistically insignificant. This finding suggests that students’ positive attitudes toward writing do not necessarily translate into higher writing performance. It implies that other factors, such as motivation, language proficiency, and writing practice, may play a more influential role. Therefore, teachers are encouraged to foster students’ enthusiasm for writing by providing constructive feedback, creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere, and giving more opportunities for authentic writing practice.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of short-term and long-term financing on the profitability of PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk during the 2020–2024 period using a quantitative associative-verificative approach. The research utilizes time series data obtained from the company’s annual financial reports, which were analyzed through multiple linear regression methods. The results show that short-term financing has a coefficient value of 2.530 with a p-value of 0.332, which exceeds the significance level of 0.05, while long-term financing has a coefficient of -1.419 with a p-value of 0.340, also above 0.05. These findings indicate that both short-term and long-term financing have no significant effect on the company’s profitability. The absence of influence suggests that the company’s management strategy places greater emphasis on maintaining liquidity stability rather than relying heavily on debt to increase profits. Additionally, the company’s profitability is influenced more by internal and external factors such as project diversification, operational efficiency, and prevailing market conditions. This implies that financing decisions alone are not the main determinant of profitability performance. Therefore, PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk is encouraged to continuously evaluate the efficiency of debt utilization and adopt a more holistic financial management strategy that integrates financing structure, asset management, and market responsiveness to achieve sustainable profitability growth in the future.
