Abstract

The village is a strategic position to support the success of community development programs. Developing and increasing literacy in rural areas faces quite a few challenges. The low level of public education, limited access to reading materials and the lack of educational facilities and infrastructure are often the main obstacles. This community partnership empowerment scheme focuses on the role and function of statistical agents in assisting in the creation of population statistics infographic designs and village potential graphic designs using the Canva application which is guided directly by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. This aims at the process of implementing data digitization, especially population statistics data through infographic design. 10 out of 11 statistical agents who took part in training in making infographic designs and filled out pre-test and post-test questionnaires, the results showed that there were differences in understanding of the Canva application before and after the training. Before the training, 90% of participants knew about the Canva application and the rest did not know about the Canva application. After attending the training, my understanding of the Canva application increased. This is proven by 100% of participants answering correctly regarding the scope, function and benefits of Canva in creating graphic designs, posters and presentations. At the end of the service activities, assistance to the Rebo Village library in the form of grants for children's reading books, educational posters, bookcases and reading chairs was also provided to improve the reading culture as part of efforts to increase literacy in the Rebo Village community.

Abstract

Fitness dimension is a very important aspect in Sports Education. That is why, sports teachers try to improve students' fitness levels in the sports learning process at school. Some examples of fitness tests that have developed in the Education environment are the Nusantara Student Fitness Test (TKPN) which is useful for measuring a person's physical fitness in carrying out daily activities without experiencing excessive fatigue. TKPN has five test items, namely BMI (Body Mass Index), Measuring Height and Weight, V Sit and Reach, Sit-Up (Lying Down), Squat Thrust, Pacer test. The purpose of this activity is to provide comprehensive training and assistance related to the implementation of TKPN for Sports teachers in Jayapura City, Papua. Community service activities are carried out through four stages, namely pretest, training, assistance, and posttest. The results of community service activities show that there has been an increase in knowledge related to TPKN among community service participants. Participants are very happy with the training because TKPN can be an alternative in conducting fitness tests on students. Community service participants can apply TKPN correctly. The results of the TKPN participants' community service for their students show that the fitness level of students in Jayapura city is still in the category of less. The results of this poor fitness level are the main task of sports teachers so that students in the future have a very good level of fitness.

Abstract

The Jeges Farmers Group in Lobu Siregar Village faces challenges in the efficiency of post-harvest corn management due to the use of conventional tools, which are time-consuming and labor-intensive, thereby limiting production capacity. In response to this issue, a team from Institut Teknologi Del developed an appropriate technology in the form of a corn shelling and threshing machine. The tool was designed using the Axiomatic House of Quality (AHOQ) method, which identified the needs of the farmers through the Voice of Customer (VOC) approach to determine product specifications in the developed technical design. The technical design was then converted into a functional tool and tested. The testing results showed a significant improvement in both time and labor efficiency compared to previous methods. The activity concluded with the handover of the machine to the farmers' group.

Abstract

Early marriage in Indonesia, especially in rural areas, is a serious issue that negatively affects the health and education of the younger generation. The government's free education program aims to create a golden generation, but the high rate of early marriage hinders the achievement of this goal. This study identifies factors that influence early marriage, such as knowledge, education level and family economic conditions. Through socialization activities at Darul Hamidin Junior High School in Padamara, East Lombok, the author sought to increase students' understanding of the dangers of early marriage. Lecture and discussion methods were used to deliver material related to the negative impact of early marriage, with the aim of raising awareness and motivating adolescents to stay away from the practice. The results of the socialization showed an increase in students' understanding after the activity. This research emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts from various elements of society to reduce the number of early marriages and support a more qualified generation to achieve national education goals.

Abstract

Subangjaya Village, in Cikole District, Sukabumi City, faces significant air pollution issues that impact the cleanliness of clothing and the health of its residents. This pollution increases the risk of respiratory disorders, especially for those with pre-existing health conditions. To address this issue, this community service program aims to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness and provide training on making household care products, such as liquid laundry soap and aloe vera-based shampoo. The program targets TP-PKK administrators through educational methods and training, which include distillation techniques, product labeling, and the production of soap and shampoo. The education focuses on the importance of maintaining environmental and clothing cleanliness to reduce the impact of air pollution. This training is expected to improve family skills and economic conditions, as the products created can be used independently or sold, reducing dependence on commercial products. Additionally, the program involves lecturers and students from the Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi, fostering synergy between academics and the community. The expected outcomes include improved health, skills, and economic conditions for the community, as well as a reduction in the impact of air pollution. This program also supports the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) by enhancing environmental awareness and collective well-being. Overall, the program contributes to better health, cleanliness, and family economy, as well as an improved quality of life for the residents of Subangjaya.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying has long been part of the dynamics in schools. Evidence from the ground reveals that schools in Indonesia continue to grapple with bullying cases, implying that the goal of cultivating Pancasila students with noble character remains unfulfilled. This community service activity aims to instill noble character in Pancasila students and foster a child-friendly, bullying-free school environment through anti-bullying socialization, thereby measuring the level of student knowledge about bullying in schools. This community service activity involves socialization through lectures and question-and-answer sessions. The target partners in this activity are students of MI Birrul Walidain NW 2 Rensing, consisting of 50 students spread from grades IV-VI and accompanied by 5 teachers as companions. Evaluation techniques in this activity include questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The evaluation yielded a pretest score of 42% (21 students), which subsequently increased to 72% (36 students) based on the posttest score. These results indicate that there was an increase in participant knowledge before and after the socialization was carried out.

Abstract

Indonesia has significant potential for seaweed production; however, its productivity remains low compared to other countries, hindering optimal sector development. This issue arises from ineffective traditional cultivation methods and insufficient government policies. North Buton Regency, as one of the third-largest seaweed producers in Southeast Sulawesi, faces challenges in seaweed cultivation, particularly due to the use of traditional methods that yield low production and contribute to environmental pollution. This community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of the Lapininda Jaya Joint Business Group in seaweed cultivation techniques through the implementation of the Floating Net Cage (KJA) method. Through participatory training, participants learn to create and manage KJA, select quality seeds, and apply effective management practices. Evaluation results indicate a significant increase in participants' understanding of seaweed and cultivation techniques, with average comprehension scores rising from 22.4 to 26.4 post-training. Additionally, the implementation of KJA has proven to enhance seaweed production yields, providing economic benefits and promoting environmental sustainability. This program not only benefits the partner group but also strengthens institutional capacity and management of aquatic resources.

Abstract

Penyaring Village is one of the villages in Moyo Utara District, Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Moyo Utara District has 6 villages and sub-districts in Moyo Utara District, namely Baru Tahan Village, Kukin Village, Penyaring Village, Pungkit Village, Sebewe Village and Songkar Village. The problem experienced by horse farmers in Penyaring Village is the less than optimal management of the use of wild horse milk which causes relatively low income. So far, the horse milk produced has not been optimal in terms of management utilization, farmers are only limited to milking and selling at a relatively cheap price or selling it only for daily needs so that it does not have a sustainable impact in terms of sales value. The purpose of making milk candy is to increase the economic value of milk and the income of farmers. In addition, the service activity of making milk candy can also establish cooperation between the University and horse breeders and the farming community and increase the production of milk candy, be able to process milk into processed products that last a long time, and to add to the taste of milk.
